The Long Version: My husband and I walked by Dantech on our way back to our hotel after having dinner nearby. He spotted some retro computers from his childhood. I asked him if he wanted to go in and he initially said it was ok, but after I insisted since I know he loves that kind of stuff, he was like ok but I'll be quick. I said it was ok if he wanted to poke around. I personally have little interest in computers. Bits and Bytes, isn't that some snack from Mr. Christie? And RAM is like a male sheep, right? But why are you yelling it? Lol. But my husband loves computers. He really enjoyed poking around. And I liked the nostalgic burst of seeing some old school joysticks (I had an Atari gaming system passed down to me from one of my cousins). The store had an answering machine that takes cassette tapes too. And what looked like a VCR tape rewinder, lol. We didn't buy anything but it was fun to look around. If you're looking for some old obsolete computers or electronics, Dantech might just have it. Review #208 (2025)

KSK is really the best computer repair experience I've had in 35 years. Extremely easy to work with and super knowledgeable. I even got pick up and delivery. Magic! BestBuy and most others quoted me 3-4 weeks to replace a power supply at nearly the cost of a new machine. I called 10 places and got the Quebec run-around (arrogant, frustrating attitudes, maybe we can fix it maybe not!) - calls that inspired zero confidence. I got KSK on the phone and there was a can-do tone of expertise and when I argued with him ( I was wrong ), he was patient and heard me out. He also made some recommendations about upgrades that would boost performance - but didn't push or up sell - he was just being thorough. While I simply needed my PC fixed, power supply and memory replaced - Im pretty sure KSK could install and maintain an IT set up for a 1000 employee office and build a super computer. Just call this guy. You'll be happy.

Sadly the other components of my system would not fit well with the motherboards that could easily be acquired in a timely manner. I was looking at a repair that would take possibly weeks, this for a critically important computer. KSK instead replaced the bios chip on the motherboard. And it cost me a lot less than it would have cost to replace the motherboard! Good luck finding a tech who can and would do that at most other places. Not only that, but both times I have called him with a downed system, he has picked it up within hours, and delivered it fully functional either the same day or the next! Do expect to pay a couple hundred for the job, or more if it requires replacing hardware, etc., but he is definitely worth it, especially with pickup and delivery, and I expect likely not more expensive than most other places that won't give you anywhere near the same level of service.
