Like when I bought my first iPod 5 years ago, this visit still met the same slow service. I stood around at the cash - all the while the rest of the store was pretty empty - waiting for someone to acknowledge me... I'd say it took about 10 minutes before someone so graciously accepted to take my money and let me be on my way... When I asked for a 4GB stick of RAM, besides the fact that they were misinformed on what kind my computer required, they went on to tell me that it costs "$130, but I'll sell it to you for $115" - my, what a great deal this must be one might think - well, think again. That same, identical RAM could be bought online for around $45. Essentially, their markup was more than 50%! These are among the reasons I haven't gone back in 5 years and the only reason I went this time was for convenience as it's close to my house, but clearly... nothing has changed since.

Rona has all kinds of thing you'll probably need but the service is always lacking depending on who's working and who's available. I've come here over 20 times and how come no one has ever come up to me asking me if they can help? Am I that intimidating? I severely dislike purchasing things here sometimes as the lineup in the magazin for big orders tend to go on for 15+ minutes.... and this is TO PAY! You'd think they'd have all counters running all day long but whatever. They are also incredibly slow on returning the carts back into the store for us to carry huge items. We're forced to leave the store and grab one from the parking lot and being it back in. This is inane! But has to be done because no one else will do it. Deliveries are very bad as well. You order an item which can be in or out of stock, be promised a date and it is NEVER respected. Want something? Sure. The 26th? No problem. You'll call when you'll get it? OK. No calls. You call the 27th and they'll get back to you. No call back. Go into store angry and you'll finally get your delivery. Want a specific time? Nope. Wait 8 to 5 for your stuff even after you waited 2 weeks for the stuff. Ridiculous.

After typing in my postal code, I was given a list of stores near me. I called the first one..they did not have it in stock, and didn't know who did, but suggested that I go to a big box Rona. I went to the big box Rona on Cote Vertu, where they did not have it in stock. After a long wait at customer service, I was directed to the store at Carrefour Laval, where they were showing 3 in stock. I drove to the Rona at Carrefour Laval. They had only 2 corded Black and Decker mowers, one for $279 and another at $189. After another very long wait (why not hire extra staff on the weekends?), a floor person assured me that they did not have any Band D mowers for !59, and never did, and basically told me too bad that the other Rona told me that this store was showing 3 in stock. I had to insist some more, and after loud sighs and shrugging, the sales associate begrudgingly agreed to look in up on the computer. Sure enough, he found it... the $159 mower had a $189 price tag in this store (although they did sell it to me for $159). This type of customer service is why I usually shop in the U.S., either in person or online.

Went to a place in Vaudreuil-Dorion suffice to say they did not fix the problem, so in desperation went to Surplustek...and guess what after a few days got a call that my PC was pretty sick, lots of malware, virus etc. incompatibility with some of my hardware, to make a long story short, my desktop is working just fine did a lot of cleaning up and disk cleaning. Very happy customer, the technician Stephane and his wife Virginie are fantastic and knowledgeable. Their prices are very competitive and they don't do B.S. and that is why I will always have a good word for them and their business, they sell anything and everything and they have a computer shop where you can get a new life for your desktop. There was obviously some carelessness along the way as the package was sent across the US to Vancouver, back to the US, back to Vancouver and finally to Ontario (see screenshot of its worldly travel). I paid over $600 in customs fees and taxes. When it arrived, the artwork was broken. The art work was insured through Globex. They put up a fight saying they only cover art for materials through insurance. There's no point in getting art insured if they only cover the $50 of materials. Eventually they settled but for significantly less than they should have. A massive disappointment!

Visited on an early weekday evening and the store was neat and tidy. The racks are nicely spaced so…read morethat that it doesn't feel crowded. In addition to women's wear, there is a small men's section and a few children's items. Some holiday gift sets were displayed by the cash. Didn't see any floor staff (which doesn't bother me); there were decals on the floor to help with social distancing when lining up to cash out. Not sure what it would be like on a busy weekend, but my shopping experience was fun and relaxing.
