I always have to wait to long even with an appointment. It seems they forget about you. They need to teach there staff better organization because this store is so busy there so called appointment booking system does not work. I do not think I have ever walked in this store having an appointment and waiting less then one hour. I do love apple products but they need to simply get better organization skills. read more

After visiting the Apple Store numerous times, I finally bought something this afternoon. I got a set of screen protectors for my iPod Touch and a case for an older Nano that I have. The selection of cases was quite comprehensive and I had trouble making a decision. Prices were around $25 for cases, which is higher than one may find in other stores, but they had cases for literally every model of iPod available, so there is the convenience of knowing they will have what you want. As always, I enjoyed looking at the colourful selection of iPods and computers. My only moment of confusion came when I was looking for where to pay - eventually I headed to the back of the store where a salesperson told me that all of the staff carry around debit card swiping machines. And the bags the stores uses are so cute - white with the Apple logo on it, and a thick drawstring handle. I can definitely get some use out of that! read more

Whoa! What craziness in this place! There are Alway a million employees working in this store so it's usually not hard to find help. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes but it's to be expected. Customer service is usually pretty good I've never really experienced anything bad at this location. I did do a corporate purchase for 15 iPads and the people in corporate sales were really helpful and friendly. Overall I've never had a bad experience, and those whom I know who have felt with this location have nothing bad to say as well. Great job apple. read more

Yes, most of us know Apple's generosity in exchanging products that might not necessarily be covered by warranty, but what some of us might not realize that of late the staff have gotten a smug and holier than thou attitude. I get so pissed every time I talk to most of the staff, that I prefer some of the relatively down to earth staff at another store that have gotten humble due to the competition from this store. Not to say some of the product specialists here are pretty lame in their product knowledge, I have known (them) to encourage piracy by means of selling home and student editions of Microsoft Office to customers stating explicitly that they need it for business and will not admit to faulty products. read more

I had the absolute best experience at the Apple Store yesterday. My iPhone had water damage a couple days ago while I was out of town. There was a rain storm, and my husband and I were helping someone who was in a bad car accident, and we had to use my phone as a flash light. Unfortunately, I just purchased my phone about a week and half before this. I brought my phone to the apple store in West Edmonton Mall to get it replaced, knowing that I would most likely have to purchase a new one, as I didn't have apple care. The manager came out, and spoke with myself and my husband, and thanked us for helping out a person in need, and gave me a new phone for free! I have never experienced such amazing customer service! Not to mention that the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! read more

Went into the store in order to repair my Beats by Dre that were still under warranty. The genius bar employees discussed for about half an hour and decided that this was physical damage and refused to honor the warranty despite it being the most common issue with the Beats. All this store cares about is sales and disregards customer satisfaction. I went to the Southgate location and was in and out in 10 minutes with my warranty covering the repair. From now on I will be avoiding the West Edmonton Mall store and will keep my business at the Southgate location. read more

Took my Iphone 6 in to have the cracked screen replaced in November. Waited for 30 minutes after they advised us they were ready to serve us. The "Genius" had it in his hand for all of three seconds and told me it was not repairable and spend the next 20 minutes trying to sell me an upgrade. When I asked why it was not repairable, he advised me the corner of the phone was damaged and a new screen would not calibrate at all. He told me to trust him as he obviously knew what he was talking about. I offered to pay for the repair so he could prove to me it wouldn't work because I was not going to take his word for it since the "damage" he was referring to was a scratch on the outer casing of the phone. He insisted it could not be repaired and refused to try while he persisted to try and sell us a new Iphone 7, at a deal of course. We left and had the screen replaced at a Phone Kiosk in 20 minutes. Has worked perfectly since. Worst service I have ever received. I have advised my employer, since this is my company phone and they are looking into replacing all 60 phones we have due to similar experiences. read more

I would like to give these guys a big fat ZERO if I could. I took my iPhone and iPad mini there today, hoping to get some advice on either upgrading the phone or using my iPad mini until the iPhone 7 comes out. I recently dropped my iPhone and shattered the screen. I wanted to get a professional opinion on which way to proceed. So I rolled in around 4:30. And I do mean "rolled" because I'm in a wheelchair as the result of a motorcycle accident. I've purchased thousands of dollars of stuff from these guys and someone usually recognizes me. Not this time. I wandered around for about 15 minutes without anyone asking me if I needed some assistance. Once I realized that people who came in after me were being offered help I decided to leave. After shopping elsewhere for awhile I decided to try again. As I came in the door the people ahead of me were offered assistance and the people behind me. Again I wandered around the store. I saw what appeared to be sales people and I probably should have just asked for help but it was hard to tell if they perhaps were finishing up some notes on their last transaction. I gave a few of them the "I need help" look to no avail. And I kept hearing other new arrivals being asked if they needed any help. And I had clearly been wandering around the store for awhile. They must have noticed me. Not even so much as a "hi." Maybe they thought I was retarded or didn't have any money. Whatever the case may be it was very enlightening for me. read more

I normally love the apple store. It is clean, bright and provides the perfect opportunity to try products out at your leisure. They also provide a wide range of accessories from speakers to headphones to chargers. However, the staff who helped me must have been new. The guy who brought my computer from the back dropped it down rather heavily which I didn't appreciate. The girl had a hard time ringing me and and it took 2 people to ring me in. They then offered to do the computer set up for me. Given the experience I felt myself wishing I had done it myself. The guy couldn't answer any questions and told me he had never set up this Mac before, which seemed weird to have him set it up instead of watching someone else do it to learn, I really ended up doing all of the set up work. He was unable to answer any questions regarding the data transferring process etc. Then it took about 20 minutes for him to get it back in the box, with 2 other peoples help. read more

I had an appointment at the Genius Bar at 5:10. I arrived early and was seated right away. The tech came over about 5 minutes later. I was having problems with my sleep/wake button so I needed a replacement phone. There was no problem getting my replacement. Everything went smoothly and I was out of there in about 20 minutes. Ten minutes out of the store and I notice that the button I was having troubles with on my old phone is having the exact same troubles on the replacement.. but worse. So I went straight back to the store and talked to the tech who helped me out. He then looked at my phone and said that the problem was normal. I found that odd since he replaced my phone for the exact same problem just a few moments prior. He then sent me on my way. I am not pleased what so ever. I live about 40 minutes out of Edmonton and now I have to drive back in tomorrow to get another new phone. Very inconvenient and extremely annoying. read more

apple store is always crazy busy...as we had a appointment with them and we reached there on time and finding the write person to talk to it took us 10 mins and when we talk to the lady (l.....a) she was so annoying she said our appointment is being cancelled bcause we are late and she even didnt let us explian anything.. she was the rudest person ever...she booked our another appointment we reached there before time and we was waiting for tech same lady came in and asked my hubby who was holding a baby to get up of the chair bcoz they can give one chair to one customer not to whole family... i think she was really frustrated of such things n her life... felt want to complaint about her but i think there are couple people who dont want to help minority community or they dont want to serve them bcoz they are the best... disappointed with that lady service at southgate apple store read more

Beware of Apple and Bell's misleading information they provide to their customers! Did you know that if you buy an Iphone from your cell company and they tell you if anything goes wrong with the phone in the first year Apple will replace it. My Iphone died within the first 2 months, Bell sent me to Apple and Apple will ONLY replaced my brand new, 2 month old phone, with a refurbished phone! That's their warranty and their policy!! What a rip off! Stay away from Iphones and make sure you ask your cell provider about the FULL warranty Apple provides. Some Bell reps told me they use the word 'replacement' phone so that their customers think they are getting a new Iphone but they aren't, Apple only gives out used phones to replace their broken phones!! They lead you to believe you will get a new phone until you get there. I was on Apple live chat and was told that Apple replaces devices with brand new devices and even when i pointed that out to an Apple supervisor, he tells me his employee is wrong but still won't stand behind what their emplyees are telling their customers! They completely mislead people and are very, very good at it! My advice? Stay away from Apple products and Bell! read more
