I was at the Cherry Hill Mall Apple store yesterday and wanted to take a quick look at the MacBook. The first guy i met at the door i don't know if he is security guard was very disrespectful and rude. He said they are closing and pointing at the door to ask me leave. There are other customers in the store. I said I can look at the MacBook really quick and leave before other customers. He keeps pointing to the door. The other employee said everything are selling on the website. They seem don't want to customer buy products in their store. In my anger I left the store. I had an appointment with the Genius Bar to look at the malfunctioning battery on my iPhone which is still under warranty. Mike ran diagnostics and confirmed that my iPhone 12 (less than 1 year old) is losing 20% of its battery charge every hour and that my maximum capacity is only 91%. These are clear signs of premature battery deterioration, and yet he dismissively asserted that those metrics were "normal".  I find it hard to believe that Apple products, which are renowned for their performance and quality, "normally" depreciate so quickly. Mike then insinuated that I am just there to get a new battery before my warranty expires. (I have owned Apple products for over 10 years and this was the first time I had a real problem and wanted them to take care of it). To make matters worse, another employee (Wes) was observing my distress and started laughing at me. I am a woman in my 60s and may not be as tech-savvy as the so-called geniuses running the store, but this type of gender-and age-based discrimination is unacceptable by Apple employees. I am deeply hurt and insulted by Mike and Wes and don't want any other person to experience the humiliation and pain I have today. read more

I have been the reasonably proud owner of an iPhone3 for almost 4 years now. About a week ago, it had a melt down. My screen was blank and I assumed it was a lost cause. Holding onto a thin thread of hope, I crossed the BFB and made my way to the Cherry Hill Mall. I walked into the Apple store, without an appointment and with my 1 year old in tow, and was surprisingly taken right away. (Disclaimer: this was a Wednesday in the late morning) My phone was a loss, but that was not a surprise. I buckled down and decided to purchase a 4S, as the 5 was too rich for my blood at the moment. What wowed me wasthe customer service I received. Geoff, Demitrius and the third male employee (I cant recall his name) were AWESOME! They somehow recovered all the data on my phone (which was really important to me) and helped me to transfer it to the new phone. I had never backed up the phone or signed up for the Cloud-thing (SHAMEFUL ON MY PART) so this was not an easy feat. But they did it - with kind words, no judgement and lots of encouragement on using the new phone. I CANNOT THANK THESE GUYS ENOUGH! This store is incredibly busy so I didn't know what to expect when my daughter and I walked in today. We were approached almost immediately by Jeff, our very knowledgeable, funny and friendly tech, took our information, explained options, etc and took my daughter's phone back to get repaired, saying it would be done in an hour. Well we went and had lunch and looked around in a couple of stores in the mall and then went back to pick it up. It was ready and so beautifully fixed. No more cracked screen! I've been stopping in this Apple store quite often these days... Since everyone besides my five year old in my family has at least one Apple device, there's always something that needs to be replaced or repaired. Yesterday I had the pleasure of dealing with a guy named Geoff. Pleasant, helpful, and very attentive. He helped to get my sons iPod back functioning so that he could use his headphones again, and replaced a lightening cord for my phone. It's best to make an appt online instead of just walking in. The slowest part of the day is between 9am-10am. After that, you're gonna have to be patient since they don't rush anyone to ensure that they're satisfied. The other thing that you can do on the stores website is make an appt for workshops on how to use any and all of their products... The in-store classes usually last about 90 minutes. They not only tell people new to Apple the basics, but also give experienced Apple users insight on features that they never knew about. I guess this explains why the store is always so crowded... I finally decided to make the switch from my iPhone 5s to an iPhone 6s after my screen cracked. I ordered and paid for the phone online for in store pick-up. Although I walked into the store around 9pm when they close around 9:30pm, I was greeted by a friendly staff in blue shirts. The employee who assisted me in setting up my phone made sure that everything was working correctly and that I went through the entire set up process including setting up things like the new Siri and touchprint ID. I did not feel rushed at all even though they were closing shortly. All the employees were very friendly and I was impressed with the customer service as well as my Apple experience. read more

I purchased a watch online and the order was ready for me to pick up early. I ran through the rain to go in where I was treated well as a customer. The good service ends there. I was interested in learning about computer options when I was told they could not help me bc I did not have an appointment to shop. Please come back in about 1 1/2 hr for that appt. manager was supportive of this ridiculous rule and essentially lost a 2,500-3,000 sale. The first thing I notice about the local traffic in NYC is how there are so much more yellow taxis than other vehicles on the road. Very unlike the other cities. I felt the same way when I waltzed in here one day. Lots more blue shirts dominating the store. But I didn't get asked on until I was leaving the store, so I asked them about their thoughts on the iPhone 5 and the back order/public perception and demand to date. I didn't get upset that some people didn't approach me since if I needed help, I can ask someone, and truthfully many times it seems like people are in there just to browse and not be assisted on. Got an iPod. Got an iPhone. I'm finally ready to take the final plunge into Applehood and get a Mac. And quite possibly an iPad. And whatever else they have that I don't have yet. Anywho, overwhelmed by the web site, I stopped in the store to talk to a salesman about computer options. Met with a fabulous salesman named Robert, who basically picked the best Mac for me based on my needs and how I plan to use it. No hard sales, though and he didn't talk down on me like I'm dumb -- even though he could have because I know zilch about this stuff. He also explained speed and storage space to me in a way I finally understand. My favorite part was when he told me about the discounts offered by Apple to educators and students. Truly a pleasant experience ... I will be returning with student identification to make a purchase. read more

I went here to buy my first apple computer. I walked out with a computer that does most of what I need it to, and I truly love the product, but the service needs some help. Maybe it's because it's so crowded. Maybe it's because in the middle of the sales pitch, some guys set off some alarms by pulling an iPad off it's security lock and then tried to walk away like they didn't do it.. I really don't know. What I do know is that I didn't feel like I mattered as a customer here. I felt that they were just trying to sell me as much stuff as possible as fas as possible, with no time to think about it. I know Apple stores have some ridiculous policies for the amount of stuff their sales associates have to sell in order to get promoted (through the grapevine).. but really, I may as well have been talking to a pre-programmed robot. To be fair, the first person I talked to was very helpful, although I still felt rushed.. He talked really fast, even for Jersey, and I felt like I wasn't given much time to process the different products. The second person who helped me (after they already charged my credit card) was supposed to help me set up my computer. Being inexperienced with Macs, he was extremely impatient with me as a newbie. I wasn't even that slow. I don't think he meant to be an impatient jerk, but he was. Other complaints: -Never gave me a paper receipt after I was offered one and stated I would like one -Never brought out the VGA or HDMI adapter I said I wanted. -Felt like he was trying too hard to sell me AppleCare, when I actually had made up my mind already and was GOING to purchase it (and even mentioned this, but he didn't hear me..) Honestly, although I can get what I need from this store, I'll probably stick to the location in the Promenade, even though it's another 15 min out of the way for me. This involved multiple calls with friends, the ticket help line and apple call center to no avail. This store is often overcrowded, full of kids taking silly pictures on photobooth and mall rats soaking up the free internet, but the people who work here are THE best. Yes, there are a lot of "blue shirts" as mentioned in the reviews below, but I think that's a good thing - there is almost always someone available to help, and they often approach YOU, without you having to track someone down. Last year I bought a mac year, and the guy who sold it to me was super friendly and helpful. He helped me decide between the macbook and the macbook air (I went with the macbook) and made sure I got my student discount. Almost a year to date after the purchase, my laptop had a melt down. Nervous as anything, I ran into the apple store at 8:45pm (they close at 9). I didn't even make it to the genuis bar - one of the employees saw the look of distress on my face, sat me down, and started checking out my computer. 20 minutes later, it was up and running good as new, free of charge. read more

This location is in a recently renovated mall. The staff were really helpful and gave me a bit of history of the mall and other local Apple Stores on my way out the door. Had an issue with a pair of Beats headphones I bought here around a month ago. Came in without an appointment on a Saturday, and figured I'd have to come back another day. The associate actually said they would replace my headphones even though the standard 14 day period was past. I had an issue with my iMac where it wouldn't connect to the internet. I took it to the Mac store to see if I could get it fixed... I left my computer there thinking that it would be fixed in a couple days.. 7 days later I receive a call that I'm having a logic board issue which will cost me 500$ to fix. So I declined and thought I could just buy and either net cable and just plug my iMac direct to the modem.. When I get my computer back it doesn't work at all... Called the store and was told that they ran some test to stress out the system and it happened to completely destroy my logic board to force me to have to get it fixed thru the Apple store.... THEY TOOK MY PHONE AND REFUSE TO SUPPLY THE REPLACEMENT. I would give a negative rating if possible. They say it is abandoned if you are a few days late picking up your replacement. This is a 6S phone with Applecare+. My daughter uses this phone and despite a phone conversation saying she would pick the replacement they said it was scrapped and I forfeited applecare+. They never told her they could or would keep the phone. Now they expect me to be satisfied keeping keep a loaner worth much less .I spoke to the store managers and corporate including senior customer service managers , they refused to help. If someone said pickup now or you won't have your phone we would have found a family member to pick up. The paperwork does not say forfeit or abandon except for a 60 day abandon clause on the back. This is one of the worst Apple Stores in the country. 20 Smug employees, about a one to one for actual buying customers, and they all ignore you. Although they slick talk you on how smart you were with your purchase, a purchase you had to wait 45 min to make , even though you know exactly what hardware you want, less than 2 people in the whole store can actually answer any basic question correctly about set-up and necessary connectors. Oh they will wing it with a generic answer of how is any task is easy to do at home, and get you out of there asap, but they are without exception wrong, untrained and useless. I spent more than $3200.00 two days ago and had an additional 400.00 back-up drive previously purchased. Not one person could give me a correct answer on the correct connecting cords to back up all of my data. Unless everything is on the cloud, which is way too small for 7 years of data, and way too expensive to increase storage, forget it. 3 days after, 4 trips to the Apple store 6 hours for that, 8 calls and 3 hours of on the phone with online help, $ 7,000 dollars of total equipment, and I still cannot move my data from one Mac Book Pro to another. I am waiting for an Amazon delivery for the cables for my Apple equipment, because the Apple store doesn't carry them, even though the online info says they had it in stock. It's my fault, I trusted them. I am going old school with thumb drives. It's actually faster, and less aggravating, than the the time I wasted for the the last three days. The only purchase that is good is your very first one, after that you are on your own, so buy the most on board storage available and the best processors and you only have to be dead in the water for one week every 7 years for a computer, 3 years for a phone. Never buy Apple Care or One to One, a waste of money, they just refer you to on line help for the correct solutions. The savings if something breaks isn't worth the price, except for the phones. I worked with Dan today, he was really great and personable. I didn't like that I had to make an appointment, I had to wait 3 days. Other than that it was a breeze. I thought I already wrote a review for the Apple Store but I guess it didn't go through. I've been to this one before including the one in Marlton, NJ. Service is always good whenever I come here. Today (5/14/16) I came into the store for help on why my battery on my iPhone 6 was draining so quickly. At first they wanted to schedule me an appointment for a diagnostic test and I told them that I didn't have the time for that but one of guys showed me in the settings of the phone how I can prevent the battery from draining so quickly. It actually worked. I already took notice that the employees working there, they are always changing the shirts that they wear. I sat down for FOUR hours to find out my serial number was hijacked from Dubai, That means I can't buy a new phone until they can get my serial number back from the person who took it who is most likely using it to sell a fake iPhone. Service- none. Waited 30 mins 2 times even after I had an appointment. And there seems to be a lot of employees around not doing anything Warranty-none. Might as well offer no warranty cuz u gonna get it void at minimal stuff. Had a cracked screen on my ipad2. Warranty voided. Ok that's reasonable. Spend 250 on a replacement. Went home and can't plug in the oem charger. Went back and they told me the warranty is voided because I jam the charger in too hard. Well if it was make to fit, then I wouldn't be jamming it too hard. Spend 100 at the outside repair shop to get the charging dock fixed. Bring in my iPhone 4s when the home button is unresponsive. Tells me the charge dock has water damage and the warranty is voided. Funny thing is its not the charging dock but the home button that's broken. Offer me a replacement for 200. No thank you. Buy at your own risk. Basically they want u to bring in a new condition phone or iPad in order to get a replacement. Better wrap your phone with a plastic bags when it's raining out. Funny thing is i had screen protector and a protective casting around the damn phone. oh well, fool me once, shame on u. fool me twice, shame on me. my 2 times count as 1 since i bough them at almost the same time and before i had to call on their so call warranty, but no more. Build a better quality product, maybe then u don't need to be so skimpy on your warranty. Apple build their product in Chinese sweat labor factory and then cutback on warranty. I am currently waiting in this apple store AGAIN. After waiting for almost two hours yesterday I was unable to get any help. Our name was removed from their list without anyone calling out our name. After finally getting someone to help us, he was unable to complete the sale because he couldn't figure out the system. Today we returned to just again be told that we needed to wait half an hour just to talk to someone to sell us something. Ive never been told that i had to wait to buy something before. Its truly incredible how long I have been asked to wait to buy someones expensive product. The service at this store is pretty bad. Just as an example I had to wait so long I had more than enough time to write this review. Update: 45 minutes later. Still no help. While Apple's products are great their customer service is cleaely lacking. I went to the store with a cracked phone screen wanting to get it replaced since I have applecare. The process itself takes all of ten minutes. The people at the front were passively rude and unhelpful. When trying to explain that I work twelve hour shifts this week and am away next week the girls response was 'yeeeaaaa, we all do.' When asked if there was anything the could do since it would be a quick process her response was 'nope'. It's sad that the premium I paid for an Apple product is not met with the same level of customer service, but instead I was met with a disengaged, out of touch, rude response that planted that seed of discontent making me wonder 'is this really worth it?' read more

Got my new phone yesterday and thought I backed up my data correctly on my pc before heading to the store. The associate that was setting me up had told me up front that he usually doesn't do this part of job at the store. This was the first time that they did not transfer data and pictures from old phone to new phone before leaving the store and I wasn't thinking since I waited so long and just wanted to get out of there. When I got home I realized I lost everything.. Spent an hour on the phone with Apple this morning and yes, which I was grateful for but still nothing. I was so disgusted with the wait time at the store I almost was going to just say forget it and go to the store in Marlton. I should have just listened to my instinct and left. Brought in macbook due to a stuck trackpad, my hard click wasn't working well. I asked if they could clean it and see if that would fix it as i didn't want to void my warranty. They replaced it and it was ready in 2 days. They didn't call me within 24 hours as promised but i still can't argue that with the service recieved. Only down side is that the store is always packed like crazy. $150 job covered by warranty! read more
