I wanted a windshield from them, and they told me I have to go in person to pay first and then they will take the windshield apart. Which I have to wait more than an hr after I paid. I went there paid and waited 1.5 hrs. It's fine if they know how to take the front windshield apart, but they don't. I understand it's 106 degrees today. But you are suppose to know to cool down the glass little bit before you can take it off, no they just go for it and the windshield cracked at the last minute. Wasted 4 hrs just drive around for nothing. This could be avoided if they took it off before I head over. Definitely not coming back, there is plenty of junk yard out there they take the parts out first and make sure it's in good condition for pick up. read more

Just like the other people said, this place will tell you they have the part, show up and it's no where to be found. Timothy (same guy others had the issue with) will lie to you on the phone and then again to your face! Multiple times! He told me he had 7units in stock, and will have one on will call. I told him to please confirm because my drive will be long, he said he has it ready to go! Once I got there, Timothy said there was now Only 1unit available, and it just got stock transferred to their other yard 40 mins. Transferred just minutes before I got there. Interesting? I had just got off the phone with him 2 hours ago?? Interestingly I went to their other yard and it's not an affiliate of apple auto, nor anywhere related. I've never been lied to my face about 20x in my life by a company I was about to spend my money with. I needed a driver's side sun visor for a 2006 Chevy HHR. From the dealership, they're nearly $200. Yes. You read that correctly. $200 plus labor. I got in touch with these guys, and they had the part for $25 + S&H + tax to get to me. That came up to a whopping $38! On Sept. 15 I was faxed the credit card authorization form, and it arrived on the 18th!! The only reason I knocked off a star is because I never got confirmation that they received my credit card authorization, nor that the part was being shipped out. I had to call in to get that information. I would definitely order through them again! read more

So this place said they had a part I needed and I drove from Palmdale to Long Beach willing to pick it up and I had already paid for it in advance, but turns out the part was not useable and broken. Therefore Tim helped me find another part In Fontana which is another hour in a half from Long Beach and I was still willing to drive down there because Tim said the shop had the part and all I had to do was pick it up. Turns out that shop was filled with lazy ass people who didn't want to take the part down for me, closing time was at 5 and I arrived at 3 ( American dismantling) so before you guys waste your time here, call ahead and make sure they have the part and make sure they check the part that it is in good conditions and it's not broken. read more

I called a friend and they recommended me to Apple.. knowing that I would be driving all the way from the westside of LA, I called and was told that yes, they do have 6 hubcaps in stock! Come here if you want to buy engines with no compression or if you want a cracked block. Went here for a SOHC 1.6 engine and both were messed up. They even gave up and gave my money back showing how easy they quit. Before you purchase anything from them call them and see how much times you get put on hold. Very unprofessional people with no respect to customers. Aswell WEAR YOUR MASK. Only come here if you want beat up stuff that doesn't work or function properly. My car was clipped, and my driver side mirror was smashed...took it into an auto body shop and quoted $$$ and 5 days of work on the car (bc there were some scratches and fender/bumper appears to be slightly misaligned). Car is totally drive-able and damage appears to be cosmetic, but it was just a hazard to see through the cracked driver side mirror....talked to Jessie at Apple and they had the driver side mirror, in my paint color. And just like that, in less than half an hour's time...my driver side mirror is as good as "used" and totally functional (power adjustment works too!). I was referred to Apple after two different places made me drive 2 hours for the wrong part. I called Apple and Timothy picked up the phone and right away he was a lot more helpful then the other guys. I explained to him that I need a specific navigation unit and a front bumper complete with fog lights and grille and I also explained to him that I've been back and forth for nothing, twice. He asked me for a vin number and put me on hold while he called and confirmed the parts with the dealer. It turned out that he had everything besides one of the fog lights. I drove down to Apple the following day and took everything. He also found the other fog light from another location and had shipped to my house through ups. Tim is great guy and I look forward to doing business with him in the future. read more

I Work at a collision shop and we ordered a part from them that turned out being wrong. We spent a lot of money on this part and since it was wrong we called to have it picked up for a credit. When we called we were told they would be down to pick the part up the next day. The next day came and no one showed up to get the part. We waited a couple more days and still no one showed up to pick the part up. So again we called and were told the same thing "we will be there the next day to pick the part up". So now it's been over a month and we have called 9 times and even emailed them to come and pick the part up. Now guess what? It's still sitting here at our shop collecting dust waiting to be picked up. This is very unprofessional and very much so hurts our business relationship. I have dealt with Ricardo on several occasions regarding my sons Scion TC. I purchased a driver door white, a fender white. struts. This is a salvage yard. It aint pretty but the deals are great and the quality of the parts are insurance quality. I would recomend Apple Auto Dismantling to friends and family anytime. To say there typing skills are on par with a 5th graders??? I could of spent 1,500 on parts from the dealership and had free coffee and loaner car. I only spent 800.00 at Apple Dismantling. All the employees were helpful and courteous. If there are people willing to save you alot of money and be helpful why insult them. These guys saved enough money for me in one weekend I was able to buy my son a new set of tires for his first car that he financed in his name.
