I did not feel at all like she wanted to welcome us. She did not enjoy anything about her job. I ordered two chocolate shakes and an orange aid. The lady asked me if I wanted pineapple or cherries or anything and when I looked at her and said no, I'd like the shakes plain please she snapped at me. I'm talking about the orange aid. I told her I'm not from here. I did not know that you guys added anything to it and I'm sorry. I just want a plain one. We went outside to the patio when our order was done, and I realized I did not have a straw for my orange aid. So my daughter went in to grab another straw and again the young redheaded lady told her I already gave you straws. My daughter said you gave us straws for the shake, but not for the orange drink. The redheaded lady orange told my daughter, You mean, orange aid. No, I wasn't born yesterday and I come here twice a year and I drop a lot of money at your store. I know that it seems like it'd be a desirable place for young people to work because you get a discount and it's a pretty cool place to work at I think that this girl might need some more training or maybe another girl who really wants to work at that store should take her place.

The 120-year-old building had been condemned at one point, but was renovated in 2021. The building has 20-foot ceilings and exposed brick. The boutique is large at 3,500 sq feet. It sells antiques, furniture, books, coins, comic books, home accents such as lamps and decor, specialized foods, soaps, jewelry, pillows, dish towels, candles, and topiary. I'm sure I missed items. I overheard a couple mentioning that they have church pews from time to time. I left with vintage postcards and a mini metal bicycle with a chain and kickstand. It was so unique I decided to grab it while it was there. If you are in Downtown Smithfield, make sure to stop in Twisted Willow for quality service and some unique finds.

So it is disappointing that these products are not available. It does have a large craft section for those looking for something similar to a Michaels store. Outdoor furniture seemed to be another big seller. It is a busy store so some seem to like it. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other stores. Most of these outlet stores tend to price high. At that point 'Georgia' said not very nicely "go to register 1". I smiled & said thank you as she was clearly agitated. As I was checking out there was a prompt on the kiosk about the Loyality program. I was curious but she clearly wanted me to hurry up, making a sigh when I hesitated to finish the transaction because I wanted to know about the program. I didn't ask as she made me uncomfortable enough by being so agitated just walking over to ring up 1 item. It was a disappointing experience to say the least. It's unfortunate that she doesn't want to help customers when that is what she should be there to do.

The installer left big spaces around the perimeter that were not all covered with the shoe moulding. My husband had to apply tinted caulk in many areas to cover the gaps. When I complained to the owner, she would not hear it. So, if a good price is what you're looking for, check out Hopkins. If service is more important, go with someone else.
