    DeWayne's - I missed the upstairs

    DeWayne's

I saw a sign on the highway for DeWayne's on my way to Benson, so I decided to make a stop when I…read moregot to Smithfield. It is located near the Outlet Mall but far enough away (half a mile) from the traffic from there. The shopping center is technically located in Selma, NC. The parking lot is large, but you might still have trouble finding a parking place as it is a busy store. DeWayne's is not an outlet store but a high-quality, family-owned store with name brands. You will find clothing, Pandora, Kendra Scott, Hey Dude, Vineyard Vines, Simply Southern, Tommy Bahama, Julie Vos, Birkenstock, and Yeti coolers, as well as shoes and accessories. I am sure I missed a lot. I wouldn't normally go two days in a row, but after I posted my photos, I saw other photos of the upstairs. So I had to see what I missed, and I decided to go looking for an item. Upstairs was the Attic, where items are discounted 50% and 70% on Wednesdays, I was informed by an employee. Christmas Land is the largest Christmas store in North Carolina, with eleven decorated rooms. The Garden Center with indoor and outdoor plants was another popular area. They had bird seed, different types of soil, and containers. The Sweet Shop had a variety of fudge and Hershey's ice cream. There were other specialty foods throughout the store and closer to the cash registers. Everyone here was friendly, and I was even recognized on my second visit. When I entered for the first time, the employee could tell I was a little overwhelmed and helped me learn the layout of the store. If the outlet mall isn't for you, make sure you stop at DeWayne's for a much better experience. On my first visit, I left with Suzy Zoo items, fudge and chocolates. While I didn't find what I was looking for on the second day, I found something in the Christmas Land that would work. The line to check out was much longer, so I kept finding more items while waiting to pay. It was a good thing I didn't get a cart. They do have a rewards club, which I should have joined, as I am looking forward to returning.

Hi. I live in Austin Texas and I come here twice a year to visit my mom and shop at Dwayne's…read more Today I went to the snack area and the red haired young lady at the counter was really rude to us. I did not feel at all like she wanted to welcome us. She did not enjoy anything about her job. I ordered two chocolate shakes and an orange aid. The lady asked me if I wanted pineapple or cherries or anything and when I looked at her and said no, I'd like the shakes plain please she snapped at me. I'm talking about the orange aid. I told her I'm not from here. I did not know that you guys added anything to it and I'm sorry. I just want a plain one. We went outside to the patio when our order was done, and I realized I did not have a straw for my orange aid. So my daughter went in to grab another straw and again the young redheaded lady told her I already gave you straws. My daughter said you gave us straws for the shake, but not for the orange drink. The redheaded lady orange told my daughter, You mean, orange aid. No, I wasn't born yesterday and I come here twice a year and I drop a lot of money at your store. I know that it seems like it'd be a desirable place for young people to work because you get a discount and it's a pretty cool place to work at I think that this girl might need some more training or maybe another girl who really wants to work at that store should take her place.

You'll find all of those - and more - here in stock! They even carry thr full line of Lodge cast-iron! The store has an awesome selection of open-stock glassware (Libby, Arcoroc, Luminarc, Anchor-Hocking....) do check here first if you've broken part of your set. I was able to buy glass punch cups for my wedding at a cheaper price than a party supply offered to rent them to me. They've got the best selection of artificial flowers, vases, pots, wreaths, etc in the Triangle, and beautiful outdoor wicker furniture. This store is fun just to browse - you can easily spend two or three hours strolling around. Deals are good and checkout waits aren't bad - although you will have to hunt someone down if you need help on the floor while you're shopping. Enjoy!

Quality is more important to me than being a low price, as something that will last years is a better value than something that will just last a short time. Before, I noted that the majority of items were made in China and the store lacked locally made products or handcrafted pottery. I appreciate locally made products and the craftsmanship. So it is disappointing that these products are not available. It does have a large craft section for those looking for something similar to a Michaels store. Outdoor furniture seemed to be another big seller. It is a busy store so some seem to like it. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other stores. Most of these outlet stores tend to price high. I do not see myself returning here ever.

It seemed to of good quality and they beat the price. BUT when they installed they ordered so little that every room had to be pieced ,4 pieces to do my bedroom and 2 for each closet!! The installer said I had 8 lb. luxury padding like I ordered at Lowes but I took a label I removed from the padding to an another installer and was told it was the basic standard 6 lb. The carpet looks great but the real quality of with patched installation and downgraded pad signifies a real rip off.

Unlike, other companies, Hopkins doesn't cheat in measurements (They measured at least 15 ft. less than two other companies). Installation is more expensive at Hopkins, but with less flooring, it comes to about the same as cheaper places (You must do the math). However, installation was poor. The installer left big spaces around the perimeter that were not all covered with the shoe moulding. My husband had to apply tinted caulk in many areas to cover the gaps. When I complained to the owner, she would not hear it. So, if a good price is what you're looking for, check out Hopkins. If service is more important, go with someone else.

Terry, Elliott, and Ben are so nice to work with & always go the extra mile to make certain you get what you are looking for. I don't like being "hounded" when I am shopping so it has been pleasant to browse when I go there to pick out furniture & not have someone constantly on my heels trying desperately to make the sale. They promptly greet me when I enter the store, offer their help, & then let me browse at my leisure, checking in from time to time to see if I have questions or need additional help. I think that their price point is excellent & they offer a variety of quality furniture. The hardware portion of the store is nice as well; I just have not had needs in that portion of the store. (I will say that they offer a very tasty Raspberry Jalapeño natural jam that has just enough "kick" to excite my taste buds!!) So do yourself a favor & head over to Pine Level to spend some time with all the friendly folks at this unique establishment!! I am sure you will be able to find whatever you need on site or they will work up an order to see that you get it as soon as possible. And don't forget the jam!!!
