When my big group all had finally found a table that was open, we started looking at the menus on our phone and it wasn't until about 15 minutes of being there that we were told they had a limited menu. The burgers all came out at different times and my burger in particular came out about 20+ minutes after the rest of my group. I was grateful for the GF bun, but my burger came out lukewarm and the bun wasn't toasted, which always makes a big difference for GF bread. All this said, they just seemed really short staffed for a Friday night and I felt bad for the few servers they had. The servers were incredibly kind and gave us all free lemon daddy shots to make up for the long wait time for my burger.

They offer juicy smash beef patties, a veggie/vegan option with sweet potato, gluten free buns, burgers for kids and even a treat for dogs. I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point, and their current Feature Burger called the Aussie Kapow is my favourite (why have I never heard of pickled beets on a burger before?!). Second place would be the Crunch, their crispy chicken burger which is perfectly cooked every time I get it. Great spot to bring the whole fam, as the brewery has lots of non-alcoholic and non-beer options, as well as board and card games, and a cute patio for pups.

Bowl - comes with a poached semi solid egg, wonderful flavor; the crispy fried chicken was amazing, tender and juicy and very crispy; the pork belly succulent and flavorful. Everything adds up to a memorable eat. Fries have a spicy Mayo like sauce which has just the right kick. Love it. The Brussels sprouts are the BOMB. Crunchy, buttery, sooo delish. Definitely coming back.

And the food, is rather bad; they also use processed cheese, they don't flavour the meat either(i asked)! The staff were very friendly in describing the menu, and recommended the hot and sweet fried chicken burger, which she mentioned was her favourite type of chicken burger on the menu. I also added a side order of waffle fries, which came with a megapack of ketchup, which was more than enough ketchup, and a container of white sauce, which had a sweet and barbecue-esque taste to it. Overall the chicken sandwich was very good!! The chicken breast was made to order, juicy and flavoured well. The hot and sweet sauces on the chicken worked very well together with the kick of the jalapeno and I can see how it is a staff favourite. The only part I thought wasn't ideal was the fried batter wasn't as crunchy as other fried chicken sandwiches I've had. The waffle fries were what I expected from being made to order; hot, crunchy yet dense enough in the middle. The additions of ketchup and the white sauce to each waffle fry had me wanting more. I would definitely return to try the other sandwiches and the bulgogi fries!

I always get the regular hamburger as its a no frills burger that does the trick. It satisfies my burger cravings perfectly. The bun is toasted with butter on the grill. The patty isn't thick but they grill it so that there's a nice crust on it and it adds that extra chew and flavour. They give you a generous amount of ice burger lettuce which makes it refreshing and I'm a suckered for any burger with ketchup on it. This was the first time I got fries and they didn't disappoint. They weren't as crispy as I would have liked. But I loved the sauce and the addition of the Bonito flakes. Turns out Wakwak Burger serves up Japanese-style street burgers, and it was such a fun, affordable treat. The Food: I went with their popular Teriyaki Cheeseburger. The flavor combination was amazing, savory patty, sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, and melted cheese packed inside a soft bun. For the price, the value is unbeatable! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it gets super sauce-heavy and a bit messy to eat on the go, but taste-wise, it was worth every napkin. The Service: The staff working inside the truck were super friendly and quick! My burger was ready in just a few minutes, piping hot fresh off the grill. The Ambiance: It's a classic street food truck setup right on Granville St. There's no proper seating, so it's purely a quick grab-and-go spot. Great vibe if you want to soak in the energy of downtown while grabbing a quick bite. Definitely a solid, budget-friendly food truck find if you love burgers with a unique twist!
