She was asking me what the dress was for- clearly I loved it bc I bought it 2 sizes too big and offered great suggestions in how to fit the dress properly to my body shape. K.C. was good about being transparent with cost and timeline, and I truly felt liked she cared :) The whole fitting experience at Village Cleaners was beyond what I expected- you normally get that kind of attention and kindness if you're spending a lot of $$$$$ in places like L.A. and NYC and even then it's not quite authentic. All the dryers are the same big size and cost $0.25 per 9 minutes. For value and cleanliness, I say opt for the top-loading machines unless it doesn't make sense to. Clothes will be cleaner than cramming them all into the big one and cheaper than into several tiny ones. Soap, bleach, fabric softener can be purchased in one-use packs at $1.00 a pop. Bring your own. Change machine takes $1, $5, $10, and $20. Change "cups" (detergent caps) are provided. Snack and drink vending machines, 8 folding tables, 8 chairs, 7 rolling carts and 3 trash bins. No pets allowed. No attendant. No bathroom. Only issue I had was a dryer beeping a code 939 at me. Tried to activate coin return and it wouldn't work. Winn Street Laundry does their laundry on premise but they send their dry cleaning out. I'm not use to their prices, they have a minimum weight and Jezzzzus, their prices was astronomical! I asked how much and gasps behind me for asking and the lady at the counter "This is Boston" look and their awards let me know YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES DONE RIGHT, SCREW THE PRICES. $7 freakin dollars for a single shirt? It was either my ego that agreed, determined to look Winn Street Laundry starched down and pressed or didn't wanna look cheap and couldn't afford their services. I said out loud "Good grief, I pay $2.79 in Houston for a man buttoned down laundry, heavy starched shirt". I felt the evil eyes trying to climb my Psalm 91 hedges of protection because one of the two tunnels here was closed due to construction and the traffic put commuter's at least 30 minutes behind and in traffic.
