I highly recommend Quality Pro Home Inspections. Shawn Jones did a super thorough job and went…read moreabove and beyond my expectations. The report provided was 60+ pages of details with photos that described each and every issue clearly. I was expecting it to take 3 to 4 hours, he was here for 6 hours. He even rescheduled his eye appointment so that he could spend more time on the inspection. He was very kind, respectful and professional throughout and gave me loads of tips on how to take care of this home. Shawn thoroughly explained the heating and cooling systems and even gave me safety and energy saving tips. He also told me who I would need to contact for various repairs and inspections that would be needed in order to take care of this house. I now have a map and instruction guide to this house and I feel that it was money well spent. Even after the inspection, he has answered my questions and he gets back to you right away.

He's articulate, polite, personable and professional, went above and beyond to accommodate a tight schedule, was responsive to emails, texts and calls, and was quick to ease my "new homebuyer" fears when they were unwarranted. He thoroughly investigated an unusual home, offered free advice on future renovations, and not for one second made me feel like he was rushed or inconvenienced by my multitude of questions. He explained complex systems in a concise, clear manner and his written report was thorough and well-structured. You definitely get MORE than your money's worth. I'm so thankful to have discovered him; he's a true gem in a sea of urchin and judging by my experience, his outstanding reviews are 100% genuine.

We have a dumbwaiter to help out with carrying groceries and laundry and garbage upstairs or…read moredownstairs. It sometimes stops between floors. Our usual company was busy so we tried Danny's Electric from Christiansburg. The first day 2 guys came and one didn't even know what it was. After a couple hours he said we needed a new switch which I ordered per his recommendation. I paid $210 plus $69 for overnight delivery The electric guys charged $261. Next day one of them came back and had another guy and they worked on the switch for several more hours and put on the new switch. They did something and the dumbwaiter went up. We all got excited and I went up to make sure and pushed the down button and it worked. They charged another $819 and left. Next day I tried to send something upstairs and when I pushed the button-nothing happened. It only works from the switch we have upstairs. The new one doesn't work at all. I texted the guy and he said he would get back to me but didn't. I texted again next day and he said he did research and was sure the motherboard had gone bad and I should contact someone who installs them. I texted the owner of the company and he never responded. I feel like we were robbed or at least way overcharged. I asked him for half of the money refunded which I don't think is asking too much. I would not recommend this company.

It's few and far between that you call someone for help, they listen and instead of trying to just take your money they help you!!! Danny knew what the problem was and didn't charge us a dime- he was patient and took the time to explain everything to me. We were able to get everything fixed, this is the second time we've called Danny's- the first time the guys came out made some repairs, they were quick, professional and was priced appropriately. This second time Danny was great to deal with, and even followed up to make sure everything was taken care of without a dime! Highly recommend Danny's- he will be out go to from here on out for all our electrical needs.

He offered persuasive financial advice on price range (Pay cash in full! No mortgage! Live free and clear!) BUT then showed and glowed over a house built by a notoriously shoddy local builder (other agents have said they do not even show Poff built money pits to their clients). He then engaged on my behalf a an inspector whose company is owned by the shoddy builder's family so of course he didn't identify the problems. Seller knew of house's problems, likely the seller's agent too as they were obvious to a pro. In retrospect Long & Foster agent and HIS inspector had to have known too, it was all expedited to who's benefit? Not mine. My agent was very friendly, but provided no guidance as to where in the area to live, providing no useful guidance for relocation based on his supposed knowledge of the area. His goal was get this small annoyance of a sale over and done with. Having lived in the home for almost a year, I am unhappy with the area and the lies of omission in working with me. If you are under $500,000 don't choose...we're an annoyance to this "highly educated" real estate sales man who literally told me dozens of times how highly educated is is, yet there he is, no different than a used car salesman drooling for commission at any cost. DO NOT USE.

He took the time and assisted us with finding a home. When he was not available, he had Kerry Gillespie cover for him. Kerry was also great and very helpful.
