this place sucks. I cannot urge, you strongly enough to avoid it. Our son didn't have a good experience here, but my experience with the office and the management was absolutely terrible. Even long after you move out, you will continue to get bills for erroneous and sometimes unethical charges. Every time this happened I had to call to understand what the charges were. They don't respond to emails and they often don't answer their phone. What they do is they blast out invoices with lots of inappropriate charges, and these are accompanied by threats of late fees and collections. They don't have the courtesy to reply to any of your concerns or address any of your questions, but they are more than happy to continue turning out emails from their system with bills and threats. Hate this place and cannot wait to be done with these people. read more

Apollo was fine besides the over piling of trash and what not. But before the beginning of the new semester this year my AC went out (I resigned my lease and stayed during the summer). I requested multiple times for it to be fixed. They even sent the maintenance guy 2 times and still nothing was done. They told me they fixed it but still didn't work. After that I proceeded to put more requests. Mind you this was end of July/ beginning of August where its 110+ degrees outside. I had to sleep most nights at my girlfriends place. They didn't fix it till the 10th day which was the day the staff themselves inspected it for next potential residents. According to Arizona law the landlord should fix AC problems in a timely manner and if not it's considered inhabitable living conditions. The nights I did sleep there I would wake up in a pool of sweat with my head poundings and feeling very light headed. Apollo endangered my life. read more

It's disgustingly dirty. Common areas above the first floor are nasty. Maintenance team takes their time and doesn't fix things unless they want to. Don't be fooled. read more

Since move in Apollo has put in very little effort to help though I have been down to the office multiple times. I requested a cleaning crew on Monday August 15th, it is now Friday the 19th and I still have heard NOTHING about a cleaning crew. There were many large sperm stains on both my couch and mattress. I told the office and yet this was not enough to get a cleaning crew to my apartment with in 4 days despite it being a biohazard. Disappointing and disgusting. Since living here the hallways have been over run with trash and smell terribly. The floors are disgusting as well, large stains in the hallway which are most likely vomit stains. Another treat I found was someone's dog's poop in the top level of the parking garage. It is very clear they do not care about cleanliness here at Apollo and have their eye out for money rather than a clean, safe living experience. Living here is not worth the costs. DO NOT DO IT. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE i would never recommend living here to anyone, and i never even had the chance to live here. the drama started when i signed a sublease and apollo mysteriously cancelled my application the same day and never told me. after receiving a call telling me they hadn't been able to reach me for thirty days (not true, i stay on top of my communication - no emails or phone calls and no one answered the phone or returned my numerous voice mails), the problem was finally fixed. after i signed my lease, surprise fees were being thrown at me even though it was communicated to me by several people that my signing and application fees would be waived since i was subleasing. after seeking information on this, i was told that no one should have said that and i had to pay anyways. i sought information from management and was ignored. outside circumstances meant i was no longer in need of an appt near campus so i began the sublet process myself. after beginning signing with the first individual, they let us know there was no parking left and there was nothing that could be done. i didn't press this issue, as it's likely not apollo being evil, but what kind of apartment complex doesn't have enough parking for its residents ??? when i finally found someone who was willing to take over my lease and not have parking, the communication that was already awful became even worse. every single complication has been on their end, and all my phone calls and emails have been ignored. at some points, they communicate with the person who is taking over my lease but it's usually something along the lines of "sorry, our system messed up. i'll send the application/lease now." spoiler alert: they don't send any paperwork when they say they will. move-ins are in about a week and i highly doubt my issue will be resolved before this time. if you're interested in living in a place that will leave you clueless and floundering all the time for information, apollo is perfect for you!! apollo has all my information and is fully capable of contacting me. i would say i look forward to hearing from them, but i wouldn't want to join them in spreading misinformation. read more

Lived here last year and place absolutely sucks. They do not communicate anything to their tenants nor are they organized. I've had to go to the office multiple times in one day because they don't know the answer to my questions and say come back later. They also lose so many packages because they are disorganized. Rules suck by closing the pool at 10pm but they allow anybody to enter to building causing a whole mess in hallways. read more

Wish I could give - stars and at the most 0 stars. The second building can't even recycle, blinds break regularly, I can hear my neighbors conversations the walls are so thin, the walls are not even straight, and the trim is cut backwards leaving triangular gaps cause they cut the 45 the wrong way it was built in such a rush. Management didn't want to hire anyone who was Gay and they only want pictures of skinny white girls. Check their social, no diversity. The only good part of Apollo, is Richard and the maintenance team. read more

This is the worst place I have ever lived. The wifi and cable are always down. As I am writing this it's finals week so good luck if you need to submit an assignment. The wifi is always down. The leasing office staff is unhelpful. Everything is always breaking. The hot tub is not heated to the proper temperature. The construction company built everything way too quickly, for example: you can't fit a toilet paper roll on the spool because they placed the posts too close together. Half the drawers in our kitchen have fallen apart. Most of the appliances in the kitchen have broken and not been replaced or fixed. It's 2am right now and there are landscapers using a leaf blower on the property so good luck sleeping if you have a room in building 1. read more

I urge you to NOT sign a lease at Apollo. This apartment complex is absolutely revolting. Any "amenities" they have are terrible, don't work, or are closed off. The pool is always a strange green color, which believe it or not, clean water is not supposed to be green. The building 2 game room has been closed 2 or 3 times because of damage that takes months for them to fix... and don't get me started on the garage. The gate into the garage is broken, it has only been functional for maybe 2 months of the year I've lived here making it extremely difficult to find parking at times. There was a time in which I got home from work and it took me 58 MINUTES to find a parking spot because a bunch of randoms that don't pay rent take up all the spots. There are no functional cameras in the garage either, as my roommate had his car damaged in the garage, and was told there's nothing they could do about it. Neighbors making obscene amounts of noise at all hours of the day literally shaking our kitchen due to the significant bass traveling through the walls, and despite us asking staff to do anything to stop it, they never did a thing On top of that, the hallways constantly smell like garbage, the trash room is always completely full, at the beginning of the least we had a huge bug problem because of the disgusting state of the trash room. But why would they care? They take our money and we can't do anything about it. Plus, we're just building 2, they don't tour our building, so they don't even have to try to make it look nice. TLDR: Do not sign here, terrible experience and wasted money. read more

The old management company was pretty good but ever since it got bought it's been a disaster area. Trash piling up outside the chute, litter in the parking garage for months at a time. The worst is that maintenance will take minimum 1 week to respond to any requests despite how urgent it is. I had to wait 8 days for someone to come unclog my sink, my friends have waited longer than that for help with their dishwasher. Do not waste your money just live somewhere else by campus. read more

My niece is suppose to move into this place next week. I have a feeling that maybe one person is working there as no one ever answers the phone or return e-mails. My niece went to there office about five months ago and decided to rent there. She choose a third floor apartment with a nice view. She applied and got accepted. The staff was nice and friendly..then. Last week she was notified that they gave her apartment to someone else and then randomly assigned her another one on the second floor. This is the only floor that she didn't want as it may be above a restaurant or some other business. If that wasn't enough she was told her move in date was going to the 14th of August, her mother (my sister) made hotel and plane reservations to help with the move and guess what... that date was just changed to the 17th. It also appears that she will not credit for the rent from the 14th to the 17th ? Neither of them want to "rock the boat" but the lack of communication...and lack of professionalism made me write this post. read more

Moved to Tempe hoping to find a good place to live and Apollo is it! Price around the area is about the same for all the apartments but Apollo had the best experience and amenities in my opinion. Guy named Jason at the front desk and helped me around a lot with questions I had! Happy with my choice. read more

This community is a joke. Management is either non-existent or just apathetic college kids. I mean I'm in college and am fully not qualified to run an apartment, especially while still in school. There were absolutely no precautions regarding not only COVID but safety in general. The amenities are overrun by the partying residents that live here as well as people who DON'T EVEN LIVE HERE. Hoards of people crowd into the lobby completely unchecked. Just 6-packs and bathing suits. It's completely ridiculous. The only "activities" are full on ragers in the pool. I would say absolutely do NOT live here. Anyone sensible wouldn't. It's an irresponsible degenerate frat boy party girl paradise. Management, DO SOMETHING!!! ANYTHING! I'm sure the constant partiers piling in from other apartments and who-knows-where are having the time of their lives when they overrun the place, though. And it isn't just people who don't live here, there's plenty of resident crazy partiers that wander the halls, the outdoor areas, and are a constant pain even in their apartments. The walls, ceilings, and windows are all so thin. You can hear SO MUCH. This means footsteps and stomping that literally shake your walls. This means EDM blasting into your apartment as though it's in your own living room at all hours. This means hearing the huge gatherings taking place in the courtyards at night. The screaming pool-goers. WHERE are the professionals?! Someone to check this place and keep it from being a party playground?! I couldn't stand it here. All noise complaints seem to do nothing. No consequences for any obnoxious residents. There was a literal bloody fistfight outside my apartment door. In the hall. At 3am. On a Thursday. My neighbor was one of the fighters and what happened to him? Nothing. I called the security line in fear. Literally no answer. I should've called the cops. My fault for trusting this place one bit. Oh, and by the end of my lease the water in my apartment was unusable it stunk so badly. I literally could not wash my hands, it was terrible. They said I just had to run the water a lot to get it filtered but it did nothing. I ended up moving out prematurely just to get away. Most positive reviews are from employees, friends of employees, etc. Look at the ratio of 1 star reviews. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars, but I unfortunately cannot. First of all, the towing service they work with towed my car in the apartment that I LIVE AT. I pay $95 a month for parking and they oversell parking spots. So if you ever come back late at night and don't have a reserved spot, good luck! I have a sticker on my car and everything and still had to deal with retrieving my car and paying the price. This place is also way too expensive for what you actually get. Thin walls, cold water, horrible workers, unfair shut downs of amenities as means of discipline (if one person screws something up, we all pay the price), you name it. I am so sick of living here. At this point, I would rather live in a dumpster on Mill. read more

I think giving this a 1 is being generous, this place is a huge JOKE. The management does not care about their tenants at all. They fee every little thing, everything breaks easily and it takes them 5 days to fix it, they tow cars even though people have passes or have no guest parking spots even though they over sold parking spots for their actual tenants. They have failed on safety checks and say they can't help their tenants. This place will have the fire alarms go off for hours and send no memo to apologize or "punish" tenants by not letting people use amenities people HUGE amounts for. I can't believe that ASU lets an apartment treat their students deal with this. Seriously if you are looking at this place you are better in a dumpster. read more

I live here and I have an electric car that is about to die. There are people without electric cars parked in the electric spots and I called Apollos front desk to ask if there is anything they can do about this and explained my situation on how my car is about to die. They told me the electric spots are "only a selling point for Apollo and there is nothing they can do." They then proceeded to tell me I need to go somewhere else to charge because they will not do anything to help me. I can't charge in my own apartment complex? Interesting. Telling me the chargers are only a selling point? I will not be renewing my lease. read more

I was locked out of my apartment a few days ago at midnight and nobody answered the phones. I called multiple times, and nobody came. I'm lucky that my boyfriend lives close by or I probably would have had to sleep in the hall. Also, the garage gate has been broken for weeks now, basically anyone can come in and out and there is no security regulating who comes in and out. I pay a lot of money for parking and a parking spot is no longer guaranteed because anyone can just go up and park. My safety in the garage is also not guaranteed. I feel like if we are paying as much as we are to live in this shithole the least y'all could do is fix the gate and have someone there to help your residents out. read more

Clean and pretty- we were the first residents in our unit. But thin walls made it difficult to study or sleep when needed and the parking garage was terrible! sure ur room is nice and the appliances r updated but do u rlly wanna pay $1600+/mo for one person in a 4bed unit? on top of that, front desk staff isn't helpful and never rlly know what they're doing. if u don't want to pay $150-$200/mo for parking, then good luck bringing in groceries or moving in/out bc unless ur paying extra for parking, even if ur a resident ur not allowed access to the gated parking lot. maintenance requests take over a month even if marked as high priority. packages are constantly lost or never even registered at the front desk. highly recommend finding a diff apartment to live in if u can. read more

My daughter's apartment has been infested with brown crickets for over 5 months. The place is run by students and unqualified, untrained people. Apollo Tempe is night mare, the staff is abusive, likes to scream threaten to trespass residents, does not clean vomit for weeks on end. Maintenance is incompetent and has physically threatened me as a resident before. I would recommend you steer clear unless you like being treated as though you are a second class citizen, at best. Apollo apartments is downright not worth it for how much money we are paying. The management is shit. The manager Kenny is the most unqualified laziest manger ever. Well I guess that's what we get when it's run by college students. And don't get me started on the garage. It was so poorly designed. The garage is so unsafe to drive in. It took them not until March 2021 after constantly inquiring about mirrors since November 2020 and then giving me no answer just excusing it with COVID. I understand we are in a pandemic but it should not take 5 months for proper mirrors and speed bumps to be delivered and installed. That was just an excuse they kept using. But the mirrors that were put in so far weren't even placed in spots that they should have been . They "say" they are going to put more mirrors in and speed bumps in but don't expect that for another 6 months. I unfortunately got into a accident in this garage in the beginning of August. Along with many other cars that have gotten into accidents in this garage. The few mirrors that they have in currently are poorly placed, not even on the same spot on each floor & they don't even have them in the two biggest blind spots in this garage. I can go on and on about this terrible apartment. But if you are looking for an apartment where the management is shit and your car is to be sideswiped in the parking garage then Apollo is the place. If I could rate it zero stars I would. There are so many wiser choices for apartments to choose for. read more

Maintenance comes into apartments unannounced even when no one answers the door and with no prior alert that there were things that needed to be done. I am extremely disappointed with Apollo to date. The fact that the management appears to be non existent is a concern. The leasing office phone is perpetually busy - and when you can get thru it is an answering machine - and no one returns calls. They have lost MULTIPLE packages which were delivered to the location. Assurances of gift cards were made for early sign ins as well as "late move in dates" have yet to transpire. Early morning construction (6:30 AM) is disruptive to the residents. Also workers don't think it is necessary to wear masks during this pandemic. They need new management ASAP - read more

I felt sick to my stomach leaving my daughter in this filthy unacceptable garbage riddled vomit smelling filth. I have had issues with this apartment since before moved in. I moved across the country, meaning I had to get plane tickets just to be told a week before the lease begin date and move in day that I couldn't move in until two days later. They claimed it was because of COVID when it was actually because of the building not being complete. No one was willing to help me with this and I was told that they don't know how they'd reimburse me if I changed my tickets and that they might give me a gift card. Once I was actually able to move in I was greeted with water coming up through my bathroom floor. There were no water marks on the ceiling or the wall, meaning it 100% was coming up in between the floorboards. They decided to rip out part of my ceiling, take the bathroom mirror off of the wall and rip that out, then rip out the drywall under my bathroom sink. Leaving a nice mess for days of chunks of drywall and dust everywhere. They also left lights on turned the AC on and off constantly racking up my electric bill. After weeks they finally told me it was finished. During the maintenance a bathroom towel of mine was taken, and I live by myself so it was not a roommate. There is also a metal cover in the bathroom on the ceiling that they took off, and decided to not put back properly so it is hanging with two screws in it. Now five months later I am being told they are coming back yet again to "paint". We were told that all of the amenities would be ready by move in. The downstairs pool was not opened until two weeks after we moved in. We weren't even able to lay eyes on the roof top pool or gym until September because it was not completed. Due to the forced late move in we were told we would be reimbursed partially via an online only gift card. Some residents including myself also were told we would get a gift card at signing. They did not breathe a word about reimbursement or the gift card from signing until another resident started a petition about it. During the quarterly inspections I came back to trash left on my kitchen counter. There are numerous residents that have had things stolen, and people come in unannounced and without a notice. No one is truly running this apartment. There are college students working in the front office that can only help so much because they're students not property managers. It is extremely unorganized and even when I contact them through their instagram no one will respond. Not even to when I contacted them about guys taking pictures of a me and a friend while we were in the gym. You cannot get in contact with people higher up. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. I absolutely would not recommend living here. The building was also extremely rushed and you can now see the floor splitting from the wall in parts of hallways. It is also extremely overpriced. Multiple cars have also been broken into in the parking garage. Numerous residents are unsettled and concerned that their belongings are going to be taken. There's even a review on here about a girl's belongings that were stolen. Just an update: There was and still is dog feces on the hallway floor, and the hallways always smell horrible. The metal panel dangling from the ceiling, due to it not being replaced properly, fell off of the ceiling and on to the floor. Another update: Although I had some maintenance issues they did resolve them quickly other than the bathroom. Jose was great! He was very professional and friendly. Update again: They are trying to charge me $25 because I didn't return my parking sticker. 1: no one told me I had to return this. 2: When I went to return my keys during business hours everyone was in the leasing office with the door shut, looked at me then pretended I wasn't there. If getting this EXPIRED sticker is so important, why did they not put this in a list of things in our resident portal? The parking sticker cannot be reused since it clearly says expires July 2021. As if they didn't charge me $85 a month to just park there they want $25 for a literal sticker. read more

Very disappointed to say the least. I was told my daughter would most likely get her apartment on a top floor with a nice view. Nope! She is on the 1st floor in a not so nice location. Management is absolutely and utterly useless. Their PR team must be working overtime because they make living here look so amazing but it is actually the worst apartment I've ever lived in. I was locked out of my apartment at 6am and tried to call the security number. They said they don't do lockouts and to call the front desk. When calling the front desk I was met with an automated message since it's before working hours. It prompted me to push the numbers for whether this was an emergency or not, and I need to be at work by 6:30, I'm a student nurse, so it's kind of an emergency. When I used the emergency response, it said management had disabled it but I could use the non-emergent prompt and they would call me back later. What do they expect us to do if we have emergencies? Call 911? I was stuck outside my apartment until 10am when the front desk opened. FOUR HOURS OF MY TIME WASTED WAITING. I've always had problems with management. They're horrible at responding timely or efficiently. The fire alarm goes off once a month at 4am , there are always random people coming into the apartment crowding the elevators and pool, and I even saw some people walking around with a gun. I'm so glad i'm not renewing my lease here. There are so many things wrong with this apartment and a million apartments better than this one. read more
