These people are money hungry. They do not care about your well being. I have reported throw up in stair wells that's still their months later. Dog poop strewn about the hallways. They do not report us paying our payments on time to the credit bureau. They used up our safety deposit within the first few months without us causeing any damages in the first place and then sent an email saying "too bad any damages is now your responsibility". When we first moved in, they told us that they did a deep clean of the apartment. As I first opened the door, the place immediately smelled of Marijuana, dust and dog hair everywhere, paint splatter caress sprayed about, and the couch had clearly been craped up by an animal. When brought up the day of, administration simply said that this was a clean apartment and then left. They also forgot to charge us our pet deposit from two years ago and just called expecting us to drop 600$ out of thin air. If you want a safe living environment with staff/administration that cares about you, do not come here. We pay way to much money for this place to be disgusting with body fluids everywhere that no one cleans up. As well as trash and stains left everywhere in the carpets and walkways. The only place they care to clean is the pool areas and leasing area which gets the most media traffic. Overall my wife and I extremely regret moving in here. If it wasn't for how close it was too campus we would have already been out of here. read more

Apollo Tempe deserves a five star review and here's why: 1. I've lived in University House Tempe and the Carmin. Apollo Tempe has the most responsive maintenance team. It took months for UH Tempe to fix anything, and probably a few days for the Carmin which is reasonable. Apollo Tempe usually fixed things in 1-2 days; 2. They have done the best roommate matching job for me. I had the best roommate ever in Apollo, even better than the ones that I found; 3. I lived in this 2b2b apartment. The reason I chose Apollo Tempe was that they have the best layout for 2b2b, which separates the two bedrooms on the opposite side of the living room; 4. They ACTUALLY reply your emails; 5. The staff are always friendly and they helped me print a lot of papers with incredible patience. None of them ever made me feel unwelcome. They always smile and greet people. I was able to transfer my lease during the summer. However, the lease transfer cost me a lot-- $500 relet fee, $100 something for utilities owner transfer fee. I guess it's a common issue for asu student housing and that is just not fair. read more

TERRIBLE! This should be your last option for student housing for your college student! Apollo has an unresponsive, unprofessional maintenance team coupled with horrible customer service and terrible manager. My daughter did not have hot water for about 3 weeks and they could not fix it properly. The maintenance man would come up say he fixed it and then leave and it was not fixed until they finally replaced the entire water heater. I had 3 emails out to the manager Blanca who never returned my emails until I finally called the office and demanded that I speak with her. I requested a rental adjustment as my daughter had to drive to her friend's house and shower which is inconvenient, costs money for gas and using her friend's water. Blanca said after review they would not give us any adjustments because it was addressed in a timely matter. It was almost 3 weeks for hot water!!! I pay $1600 monthly rent for a room in a 2 bedroom apartment. There is vomit in the elevators that they don't clean timely and have lost multiple packages of ours. If you're a parent looking for a safe, supportive environment for your student, do not rent at Apollo Tempe. This place is essentially an overpriced frat house disguised as an apartment complex. My daughter experienced months of excessive, disruptive noise from neighboring units--late-night parties, shouting, loud music--and despite multiple complaints, nothing was done. Management is completely unresponsive and unhelpful. They acknowledge the noise but refuse to take any meaningful action. Even after giving them multiple chances, they showed zero accountability and offered no real solutions--just deflection and delays. They market this complex as a premium student living community, but in reality, it's poorly managed, chaotic, and stressful. The units aren't cheap, and for the price, we expected at least some level of respect and support from management. Instead, you're on your own. If you're a parent thinking this will be a safe, comfortable place for your college student: think again. Save your money and peace of mind. Look elsewhere. Or do some homework and maybe reach out to a few local tenant attorneys and you will find that several are very familiar with Apollo Tempe. read more

This place has not been in good shape since my daughter moved here last summer. The hallways are filthy dirty and it smells bad, the doors are all black with caked on dirt, the security in the garage is ridiculous. The gate was broken for 6-7 months before it was finally fixed. The doors from the garage into the units never lock. This is supposed to be a security building. What are we paying all this money for? Lastly the internet goes out constantly and they don't seem to care. It's very disruptive if kids are zooming for school or working online. The other thing is that there is no complementary guest parking which other complexes have. The one good thing is the staff in the front office seem very nice. This is the worst apartment in Tempe! my boys lived here from August 202-August 2025. it has been the worst experience EVER! poor customer service, maintenance does not fix anything even after making 10+ requests. my boys moved out july 30, 2025, and the ignorance of the apartment has billed us for a room that my boys NEVER resided in. This place is absolutely disgusting, the maintenance takes weeks to come even if it is an emergency, the parking gate was consistently broken, there was trash everywhere in halls, stairwells, elevators, near the pool. The WiFi was constantly out and took multiple days to be fixed. Throughout my time there they had lost two of my packages both of which were signed for by the front desk and I never received and when I would go down to ask for them, they said they couldn't find them. The key fob to get into the complex from the parking garage on my floor was also completely broken for MULTIPLE months and never fixed so really anyone that was up there could have gotten in the building. read more

It smells even better than it looks! The trash is overflowing on almost every floor. The hallways are not walkable. No one seems to care. The bathrooms never have soap or it's brown because it hasn't been changed all year. You are lucky if you can find toilet paper or paper towels in any bathroom. The rooftop pool is always trashed and half the time it's closed and green. Also the parking situation is horrible when students first arrive. Even residents that pay for a reserved spot are not guaranteed a spot for like the first month because people just park anywhere and the garage gate stays broken. Also my apartment randomly started leaking water from the ceiling and after notifying apollo management nothing has been done to fix it. All of this really has me questioning why I pay over $1000 a month plus parking to live here. read more

As the parent of a student resident at Apollo, I can say that my experience of the management company running this place was absolutely the worst I've ever seen. They only communicate through email and then don't respond to emails, they don't answer phones, they harass you constantly with "urgent" messages that involve paying them more money, and the facilities that they provide an outrageous amount of money are terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if other similar facilities are just as bad, but I only know this one...and know that it is awful. read more

There is no way logical person would ever think this places deserves more than 1 star. I would have wifi more often if I camped in a tent outside the asu library. BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS. A few days after move-in I found that the apartment was heavily infested with literal bed bugs. They were EVERYWHERE it was so gross. It was probably one the most disgusting living situations I've ever experienced. The management tried to help but ultimately they failed to get the problem fixed, and so over a month after move in we still have a bed bug infestation. My roommate and I are still getting bitten up and itchy while we're there. And yet I can't break the lease even if I wanted to. Apollo has such a predatory leasing contract. I'm not even living there most of the time because it's so uncomfortable. And they're still expecting me to pay so much money to live there! I pay nearly full rent still. I live on the first floor of building 2 by the way. Also the staff is so slow to fix any maintenance problems, in general. For example, someone broke glass door entering building 2 and it's been a month and it's still not fixed. Also the natural lighting on the first floor is so bad that my plant died :(. But maybe that was the bed bugs, we can't be sure! I want more sun exposure in my place, it's depressing. read more

I advise anybody that is looking into apartments in Tempe, Apollo is not the one! When looking into Apollo it looks nice and seems to come with good amenities but that is not the case. After living here about a week something is going to break. None of the management seems to care either, because if they truly did every problem would be fixed. They always say oh ok ya we got it, don't trust anyone's word for that at Apollo. It says high end off campus ASU housing, and I promise you it is not. Apollo is constantly dirty, and even if you complain about it, takes weeks of excuses and even then nothing still gets done. Maintenence requests go ignored (our dishwasher and garbage disposal are flooding and our apartment stinks and we've been ignored for a week). Staff don't know anything, just tell you what you want to hear. All these issues and they're currently spending our overpriced ($1400!!!!!) rent money on repainting random walls and installing ugly floors (closing all the common areas without notice). I am not sure how this apartment even has 2 stars when they deserve less than 1 star rating. The management seems to be only interested in making the most of the college students charging the highest rent and parking fees when not bothering to deal with all kinds of issues with the way things are managed. Despite charging parking fees, residents have to come back to find their parking is taken and having their cars towed when they park in someone else's reserved spot. This happens so often and despite being reported several times, a fix has not been put in place. What the hell is the management changing parking fees for when the parking in the alloted spot is not guaranteed? They need to be sued for this kind of management and investigated for if they have a tie up with the towing company and getting some kind of kickback based on how frequently this happens. read more

Good Luck future renters - your mother would never live here. Trash everywhere. Halls dirty. Vomit in the stairways. The parking garage gate is broken. Coffee machines in the lobby never work. Don't dare leave a bike in the "locked" bike storage/cage, your bike will be gone or become spare parts for some homeless person. Security guards, what they have security here? (only on check-in when parents are around). This is actually Tempe's biggest rip-off for rent; a roach motel would be cleaner and cheaper. I have lived here 2 years and the first year under old mgt was pretty good, thus I renewed and that was a mistake. You do know the rental contract is for 1 year? So, yes you have to pay for the summer months and it is just about impossible to get out of. The new management is terrible and is all about cost-cutting. I have never actually seen anyone cleaning. The trash and recycle rooms stack up with garbage quickly and are rarely emptied, evidenced by the bags of garbage in the hallways (look at many of the recent 1-star reviews). Same vomit in the stairway from 13 months ago. If you are considering this place, beware, look around carefully, ensure you have space for your garbage, and balance the rent against other places (they charge for parking and other misc items). I will say the rooms are nice and layout is great, but they NEVER clean and maintenance is slow. They never clean the units/rooms between rentals (evidenced by the hair, candy, dirty stove/refrigerator) when I moved in. If you report issues to management and the front desk and it goes nowhere. Unless things change quickly this will be an apartment place to totally avoid in the next couple of years; the jokes and bad reputation about Apollo are already starting. Also, if you need a drug partner or need to buy drugs just visit the top-floor restrooms by the pool. Management will respond to this comment, like the ones below, saying they care, clean daily, appreciate you choosing Apollo, and leave an email/phone for you to let them know of issues. They rarely are responsive to emails and complaints, the joke is people don't complain anymore as there is no ACTION. So basically my AC broke 5 times in the first 6 months of my lease. Power failed twice, and one of said times the guy said that the main breaker had been and I quote, "looks like it was burnt from the inside out." The building was rushed to completion by the quickest people after being properly built halfway or so. The paint is thin and easily damaged, and we have had constant issues with both power and air conditioning. Not to mention that the building itself is not complete yet and that I've slept for the entire semester with construction directly outside my window. On a good note: the amenities are unbelievable & beautiful, I love the entire design and asthetic, the pools are super dope and the upstairs pool is an awesome party AND study locale. The gyms are very good and the study rooms while not complete are pretty nice. In addition, the staff? Fucking awesome. Honestly just hate that my AC's always broken. read more

I've had the worst experience with Apollo this summer subleasing. I would avoid this place at all costs. I came to Phoenix for an internship this summer and wanted to live in student housing for the social aspect, and therefore was drawn here. My roommates were supposed to be other people that I was interning with. Lovely to see that the day I arrive, they did not inform me or the student assistants that they had moved me to another apartment. Not only was I displaced from the people I originally was planning on living with and signed a sublease for, but I was also moved into an environment worse than any fraternity house I have stepped foot in. With enough complaining, they moved me into a better room, but not without the fear of me being homeless and having to start my job the next day. Now I somehow got stuck with two subleases, extra forms and reading the fine print so that I don't get screwed over by this place again. Most of the apartment is dirty and trashy, which is incredible considering how this is a relatively new apartment - clearly management does not care about the condition of the place or want to impose fines on students who are used to having their parents pick up after them all the time. I'd also like to mention the amount of hidden fees this place has. Through "damage charges" that were there before I even moved in and random renter fees, I've had so many surprise expenditures that I realistically should've just lived in a nicer quality airbnb for what would've been probably a little cheaper. This place sucks. I'm a relatively patient person, but this place has been a constant headache and the amount of excuses they make for themselves to cover their asses for basic living conditions is appalling. They just want to squeeze every last penny out of broke college students (more likely their parents) than actually creating an environment worth paying a premium for. read more

DONT LIVE HERE moved in under the promise of a "luxury" student living apartment. was met with an uncleaned bedroom and living space. disgusting facilities. and horrible front desk management. i pay over $1800 a month for a single bedroom in a four bedroom unit. the parking is terrible, i pay over $100 a month for a gated spot and I can rarely even find a spot anywhere but the top floor so far from my unit. there is no guest parking area other than a few pay to park spots, they will find anyway to milk money out residents and their guests. i request maintenance weekly due to the poor quality of the apartment and they are rarely ever able to actually solve my issue. there are flies and bugs everywhere throughout the buildings and the hallways frequently reek of sewage and trash. our front door also does not lock all the time and neither do the doors near the stairwell, making it incredibly easy for anyone to enter the building and potentially my unit. our unit was also not cleaned before we moved in and our parents were forced to bleach everything in the apartment. if you ever have a question try google because the leasing office employees seem to know nothing. i would never recommend this apartment to anyone and if you are considering it i would recommend living elsewhere. save your money and your mental wellbeing. opposite of paradise ! read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE!! There are plenty of other apartments near ASU that are significantly better than this place. Issues include: -PARKING, if you get into the garage after 9pm you're not getting a spot, the the office doesn't care about helping you cause you're stuck paying $100 month whether you have a spot or not. They never fix the gate and just let anybody park there. Complaints are met with simple "sorry for your inconvenience" and some bs excuse as to why this is one of the only apartment complexes I've been to in Tempe with a broken gate for more than a month -MAINTENANCE, always takes forever and always requires multiple visits because they mess up. Had to have part of the wall removed as part of a plumbing problem, was told they would be back in a week to fix the ceiling, and then never came back. Maintenance has also acted in a hostile manner with no response from management -CLEANLINESS, trash and puke all over the property "luxury garbage" is what I'd call it. Pictures below show just some of what you should expect to see on the daily while living here -SMELLS, go down any hallway, they small different and it's all terrible -POOL, don't get me wrong, the rooftop pool is one of two reasons to live here. But it gets nasty. Bottles floating around, very few garbage cans that are always overflowing, people bringing glass and dropping the bottles, anybody can just go up to the pool without knowing anyone who lives here. It's all a mess -DOORS, don't live here? Don't worry! There's always a door that's broken so anybody can just walk in Overall, not worth the rooftop pool fool of randos. Would highly recommend looking at any of the apartments with less expensive rent and better management. They will respond to this with some generic "we're sorry please call or email us with any problems," but nothing ever gets done. It is extremely unfortunate that time and time again, Apollo management fails to make decisions for the well-being of the MAJORITY of the tenants living here. As a financially independent student, I pay an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money to live here -- and I am CONSTANTLY finding reasons that make me regret living here. Whether it be the fake eyelashes and broken acrylic nails on my floor when I moved in (my unit clearly wasn't cleaned), or the fire alarms going off randomly, never having ANY parking, seeing walls with penises drawn all over them, trash cans and exit signs broken and knocked over, and not being able to use the amenities I PAY FOR! Also, everything breaks -- the material they used to built everything is CHEAP and everything constantly breaks. The management and their protocols are absolutely ludicrous and they continue to punish well-behaving, rule following residents and prevent them from using the amenities that WE PAY FOR because of some of the reckless and immature students who live here. I have been patient and understanding throughout this whole process and given the Apollo staff and management more than enough grace. I understand this is student living and there will be immature people living here, but it is grossly unfair to continue to make residents pay an obscene amount of money to live here if we cannot be using areas of the property that we pay for. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed that I am throwing my money away and wasting my last remaining months of college living here. Apollo should be reducing the price of rent drastically if we can't use the amenities available. That is the only logical solution, especially for the residents who have followed the rules while living here. Also, we shouldn't be paying 100 dollars a month for parking when there's NEVER ANY SPOTS. If you have a car -- don't count on having a spot available for you, and be prepared that your car will get towed even if you PAY FOR PARKING! And also -- Apollo won't pay for you to get your car back and they won't be apologetic at all. I really hope that Apollo can fix this do the right thing. Apollo took away our parking because their system "made a mistake and overbooked parking" after I had already signed my lease. Writing a second review as I currently pack my stuff up and get ready to leave. I have lived here for a year and have had nothing but endless problems here. From the garbage overflowing into the hallways so u can barley walk through them and the Gnats that are now filling the garbage and hallways, to the hallways literally always having shit on the floor because people throw parties and there is never cleaning done by maintenance, to also people getting stabbed in the building??? that's only the freaking beginning. There was a time I remember lights on my floor being out for a whole week before it got fixed, elevators are constantly broken and smell like dog shit and hot throw up. Guest parking is always full because they don't even make enough parking spots for its residents so residents have to use guest parking literally making it impossible to ever have guest over. Think maintenance is going to help if u have stuff broken??? Nope takes forever just to get a work order in, especially if their resident portal is down, which it is a lot of the time. Then trying to call and have the Apollo team put in an order is even more tough because you never know if they are actually going to do it or not. Management is either non-existent or a fucking joke of college kids. The amenities are constantly dirty or closed due to the partying residents or even people who don't live here. Let's not forget the fees they love giving out just to run your pockets empty. I once had my key stolen off me and had to pay for a new key, keys not working? Fee. The amount of times my key just stopped working or one of my roommates stopped working so we all had to get new keys is a fucking joke. Fire alarms go off all the time and let's not forget that they also love to "punish tenants" by not letting people use the amenities!!! The ones I pay HUGE amounts of money to have, Instead of actually upping security and not just letting anyone and their fucking mom come in when they don't live here. It's safe to say I will be signing at Apollo next year. I currently live at a different apartment complex in Tempe, but many of my friends live at Apollo so I spend a lot of time there. I started thinking about moving, so I went into Apollo one afternoon and requested a tour. My tour guide was Hannah, one of the leasing agents...and let me tell you...she was awesome!! Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of my many questions, but she was over the top friendly and welcoming. Knowing that people like Hannah work at Apollo makes me want to live there even more. Apollo clearly cares a lot about customer service, transparency and getting the most out of your experience. I've lived here since the start of the school year and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed my time living at Apollo. Whenever I have to file a maintenance request it usually gets resolved within 1-2 business days unless I mark it as urgent notice and it gets resolved same day. The only annoyance at times is that the fire alarms in every apartment are very sensitive to steam, but in all fairness I would rather have a very sensitive fire alarm rather than one that doesn't go off lol. The rooftop pool and free coffee from the machine in the lobby comes in clutch when on the way to class. read more

Before we even moved in we already were set to have 2 pets in the apartment and had listed on our application that we wanted no other pets. So of course, Apollo put us with someone who had a third cat and it took days before anything could be done for us. (By the way, there is no way for you to pick your roommates here. And no way to contact them before they're already assigned, just a roommate request/preference form). When we were finally able to be moved we lost all of our preferences for location, view, etc. Then come move in day, my room isn't even ready to be moved into because the carpet was covered in cat piss and had not been replaced yet. No one was told this beforehand. We did not find out about the carpet until showing up to move in. (Move in was Saturday and the carpet was not replaced until Monday). When the carpet was replaced, it was a different carpet than all of my roommates. Instead of being grey as expected it's a brown shag carpet. We also STILL (a week later) have not received the proper damages forms to inform them of the state of our rooms upon move in. When I actually moved in, my windowsill and baseboards were covered in dirt, there was a half drank water bottle in my bathroom, and little bits of trash everywhere. As well as command hooks and other things still hanging in the apartment. The first day here we had a leak in our ceiling, which stopped, however paint is still peeling off the ceiling and maintenance never patched it. We also still have not received keys to our bedrooms, the mailroom, or garage clickers. And it took them days before my roommates were even given parking passes- and according to them there's virtually no spots in the parking garage anyway. If you get stuck with a street view, the windows have absolutely no sound proofing so good luck sleeping. There are car alarms going off all hours of the night, and I can hear word for word conversations happening outside even if people aren't yelling. If you need somewhere to live, I wouldn't consider Apollo. It looks nice, but seems to be made cheap and management doesn't know what they're doing . Update: it took 2 weeks for our leak to get fixed, I've now been charged a pet fee twice despite having an approved emotional support animal and contacting the office multiple times about this charge. Me and my roommates did finally get our keys, parking passes, and garage clickers (not that there's ever any spots in the garage). The only good thing about this building is there maintence team who are very kind. The office workers and management here are absolutely incompetent and will never get something done when you need them to. Do not live here. read more

Apollo Tempe - Leak in the ceiling - University Housing Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

I moved in here for the spring semester at ASU. It was hard to find housing but I was able to find a lease talk over at Apollo. I had average expectations when I moved in but that ended quickly. Within 6 day I had a request to transfer rooms because every single night was a party on my floor. They took forever to address me and once I was in the contract they couldn't have cared less if I was happy or not. Now I did have bad roommates and I'm not saying your experience will be like mine but if anything goes wrong then good luck. Also during move out one of the workers came into our room and I asked if we would get charged for any of the walls ( any of the paint or small holes) she confidently told me that we should be all good and there would be no issue. I took this until I got a $200 charge for the walls in our apartment. WTF read more

The fifth floor lights have been off for a week and we haven't had any emails regarding the safety or when the hallway lights will be back on. It's dangerous and a fire hazard. The staff is unhelpful, rude and disrespectful. No one actually helps and they don't understand the value of the cost of their rent. Also everything has a fine attached. read more
