(Sadly have this experience very frequently where I'm from in bluegrass country.) But as soon as I walked in, I felt like I was in my pawpaw's garage, full of passion projects and home. John said, "If you can't find something... I'm sure I can't either. But holler anyway." All the pictures you'll find on Yelp are pretty much the whole store. You open the house door almost directly in front of the register, and all the merchandise is in the front and along one side. It's tiny but packed. This store has decades of stock and love in it. There are a ton of music books ranging from beginner to pro for all different styles, not just bluegrass. As John recommended, it's great to just flip through the books to see which style of writing and teaching makes the most sense to you. I picked out the cheapest open-back banjo, and John never tried to upsell me. In fact, he told me all the great things about the instrument I'd picked and walked me through the basics of the style I wanted to learn and even other ones in case I changed my mind. (Which I did lol.) This was all without me having to ask, with genuine excitement. He put so much care and attention into making sure the instrument and I were prepared. It's almost a month later, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase and experience. I will definitely be back for more supplies and recommend to anyone else looking for an instrument or supplies. I'm so grateful this is here in Columbus :)

Elizabeth's is also near several other local vinyl record shops. I bought an album and plushie for my sister, and when I got to the register, the employee let me know that the plushies were buy one get one 75% off! Apparently they have really good sales like this fairly often, including a BOGO FREE sale not too long ago. The employee was super patient while I went to find another item and just really sweet to talk to. I didn't catch their name, but they had really cool green hair (or maybe blue I have bad memory lol.) Very appreciative of them and their sincere service :)

I love how the cafe serves the standard Starbucks drinks and food but also has the Cheesecake Factory slices or whole cheesecakes served ready to go. While the prices are not as cheap as amazon or even Target or Walmart, you can find some really great sale and clearance items. And if you become a member there are awesome discounts on books, gifts, and cafe items! I like that stationary, bath items, music, toys, cookbooks, really anything you need is here! Sometimes it's good to go to a book store and actually see what options there are rather than ordering online and getting a book in a few days. Here you can sample a few items by reading the first chapter and if that's not your book, buy another instead... I hope bookstores always exist.. they are my happy place..

I am impressed that the folks that work here seem to have quite a good handle on the live local music scene, which is a nice distinction and helps him to really stand out. In addition to a great selection of vinyl, they also have some useful supplies available for dedicated record collectors. sometimes record stores can be "dusty" this one is well lit superbly organized, and a joy to visit. I've never been in this store that it hasn't been enjoying heavy foot traffic from other audio fans. This of course is a positive sign that the inventory here is worth coming in and having a look.
