There were constant performances from singers, dancers, drummers and martial artists. It's a great family event.

The staff was welcoming, helpful, and made the application process clear and easy to understand and I was excited to start the program. Unfortunately due to my husband's military obligations, I realized I would have been about halfway through the program when we would need to relocate and he would begin a deployment so I reached out to SJVC to explain my situation and they were incredibly helpful. They told me about their sister school Carrington in my home state and explained that it might be a better option because I already had a strong support system there, especially with having small children. They made it clear that I was still welcome to continue with SJVC but provided me with information about Carrington so I could decide which option worked best for my family and timeline. Because of that positive experience with SJVC, I felt really confident exploring Carrington. After attending the information session I decided to take the leap and switch my focus to Carrington. In the beginning, everything felt promising and my communication with Donna was great, and I was able to submit my recommendation letters, fingerprint card, CPR certification, vaccine records, and other required documents. I don't think the Wonderlic exam I had taken in California transferred, so I retook it as requested. At that point, I was told that I was a strong candidate, that my score was good, and that everything looked promising. I was excited and felt that I was on the right path. Unfortunately, the communication changed shortly afterward. A couple of days before the application deadline, I was asked to retake the test again and after that I stopped receiving communication. I called multiple times, left voicemails, and sent emails but received no response. After waiting and trying again, I eventually received a voicemail shortly before the start date informing me that I had not been selected and should try again for the next start date. The voicemail felt off as if she didn't remember who I was despite previous conversations or maybe my application just fell through the cracks. I was still determined to pursue the program and moved to Arizona to apply again. When I asked for feedback about how I could become a stronger candidate, I did not receive any guidance. I called multiple times, left voicemails, sent text messages asking what I needed to improve, and emailed questions regarding getting a higher score on the Wonderlic, but again received no response. Donna eventually contacted me about a week before the next application deadline asking me to resubmit my letter of intent, but once again, communication stopped afterward. At this point, I realized that switching my focus from SJVC to Carrington may not have been the right decision for me. I understand that applying to a competitive program can be stressful and that admissions staff may have many applicants to manage. Still I am very disappointed by the lack of communication and guidance throughout the process, especially after having such a positive experience with SJVC. Because the two schools are connected, I honestly expected a similar level of professionalism and support. The final communication was even more disappointing because applicants were notified that they had not been selected through a mass email in which all recipients could see one another's email addresses. Applicants began responding to the email, meaning we could see each other's responses as well. Receiving a rejection in what is essentially a mass text felt very impersonal and, in my opinion unprofessional. I understand that not every applicant can be accepted, and I completely respect how competitive it is. My disappointment is not being denied but the lack of communication, feedback, and guidance throughout the process. I repeatedly asked what I could do to improve my application and was unable to get an answer. Ultimately I'll take this experience as a sign that Carrington may simply not be the right school for me. I am disappointed because I had such a positive experience with SJVC and genuinely expected a similar experience with its sister school. I have loved working in the dental field since leaving the military, and I am determined to continue pursuing a career in dental hygiene. I apologize for such a long review but I sincerely hope that other applicants have a more positive experience with the admissions process, and I wish everyone applying the best of luck.

First: The instructors, which I can only speak to Mr. E. (Ernie Kornya) and briefly Mr. James at this moment, since I'm barely in Module 2. They are very knowledgeable in their craft. Mr. E. brings a wealth of information and support. He is patient and truly cares about the success and comprehension his students attain. He makes learning the difficult stuff, fun and rewarding. Ms. Dalis is such a joy to see every day. She is compassionate and tough. She cares about what she does - that much I can tell. She will fight for you as long as you are fighting for yourself. Who wouldn't want that kind of backing in your corner? Everyone I have encountered so far (staff-wise) plays a critical role in our journey, and I have zero complaints on that. 5 STARS. Second: The resources are minimal, at best. There aren't enough materials, tools, workstations to go around, and it creates a huge learning gap for those who have to be bystanders in lab. There's only so much you can do when you're grouped with 5 other students during an exercise and we're all sharing one set of tools. How can we successfully complete a circuit if there's only one person performing the surgery, while we onlookers nod our heads in synchronicity? It's a waste of time to me. Speaking of time, I have never had to follow such a strict attendance schedule at any point in my post-secondary institutions. Historically speaking, we adults are usually at the mercy of our own lecture/attendance, note-taking, content comprehension, etc. At UEI, you are not graded solely on the understanding of the content, homework, quizzes, etc. No. You are graded (heavily) on whether or not you show up at your expected time, and stay the entire duration - NO MATTER WHAT. That part is crazy to me. I don't think I'll ever understand it. Having to leave EXACTLY at 13:00 (not at 12:59) is ludicrous. We are not children. We are well past middle school. If class runs successfully until 12:50, then let's leave at 12:50. Simple. 2 STARS. Longest review I've ever made, but it's important to note these things. There's not enough time to mention everything, but I wish I knew half of my grievances up front. I probably would've went in a different direction. Regardless, while I'm here, Mr. E., thank you for showing up for us every day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and trade secrets. Absolutely no campus security, access systems, or anything to prevent anyone from walking in off of the streets and giving them open and free access to the school. The building is full of mold, and all of the equipment is broken. For a for-profit college, this is the worst of the worst. But if you're not a great student, you can get your degree through Pima Medical Institute and they don't really ask questions or care as long as you pay your tuition.

Communication from most of the staff is lacking, and their replies often come off as defensive, offering no valuable solutions to address issues. Perhaps the most significant and concerning problem is their apparent lack of accommodation for individuals with disabilities, fostering an unhelpful "deal with it" attitude. This issue is especially problematic given my current participation in a rehabilitation and vocational program supported by the Department of Economic Security, designed to assist people with disabilities in re-education. The faculty's performance leaves much to be desired, as they frequently fail to fulfill their responsibilities and respond to inquiries, errors, and concerns with resistance, deflection, and an absence of accountability for their mistakes. In the nine months since I started, more than seven educators have quit without notice, and those who remain take vacations at inopportune times, crucial to the transition into new courses and externships. Proper planning and consideration seem to be nonexistent when it comes to student placement, and overall, there is a conspicuous lack of professionalism. I strongly advise against enrolling here, as you will likely regret the decision later on.

It is a great college for those who apply themselves. Even though I'm not catholic I had a great time learning about theology and values. I found that the morals of the campus help set the bar for a better learning environment. The part I liked most were the small classes and the teacher to student interaction. The most students I ever had in one of my classes was 31 students! I had some really great teachers that invested their time and talent into helping me decide where I wanted to focus my education and career path. Teachers like Prof Laurin, Perry, Tole, Raul and Kirkham. With this knowledge I was able to open my own business and am already able to say that my business would not be capable of growing so fast and smoothly had I not had such a great experience at Benedictine.
