Ive been to this urgent care twice previously with my son who has autism and can sometimes have a…read moredifficult time being examined or treated. Both times the staff were absolutely amazing with him patient, understanding, and accommodating. Because of those experiences, I felt comfortable bringing my 19-month-old daughter here today. My daughter is medically complex and unfortunately we weren't able to get in with her PCP. I was trying to avoid an unnecessary ED visit for something relatively minor that could be treated with an antibiotic ointment. As always the ladies at the front desk were warm, kind, and welcoming. They explained that because of my daughter's medical complexity, they needed to ask the doctor whether he was comfortable seeing her, which I completely understood. Unfortunately, my interaction with the doctor was very different from the experiences I've had here before. He explained that he could evaluate her but couldn't guarantee treatment, which I also understood. My issue was not with him setting that boundary, it was the way he communicated it. While speaking to me, he began clapping his hands for emphasis and explaining things in a way that felt incredibly condescending, as though I couldn't understand what he was saying. His words, tone, and body language came across as harsh and dismissive. As the parent of a medically complex child I'm very familiar with the difference between urgent care, primary care, and emergency care. I wasn't asking anyone to treat something outside of their scope. I just wanted my daughter evaluated for a relatively minor concern before automatically taking her to the ED. I'm disappointed because the rest of the staff and my previous experiences here with my son have been wonderful. Unfortunately, based on today's interaction I would hesitate to bring a medically complex young child here again. If your child has significant medical needs, I would recommend going directly to their PCP or emergency department rather than risking an experience like ours today.

My nurse, Liz, was a delightful young lady, who made me feel so much at ease as we joked about a few things and her experiences in the city. My anaesthetist, Christine, Continued to make the experience a pleasant one as she explained what she would be doing. Rachel was the nurse in the procedure room and was just as pleasant as the rest of the staff. Of course, Dr. Corso, who performed the main attractions, is just the best. All said, most professional staff, I appreciated and thank you for making this experience a pleasant one. If you follow all instructions given, the procedures go smoothly. Forget refill requests from providers. They're never processed on time and I ALWAYS have to be the go-between and call the practice to have them reply to the request. I'm told these things are handled by the same person. Not department, person!! And this incompetency has continued for many YEARS. This is unacceptable. The office is bright, serenely decorated, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in and felt very pampered and well taken care of. This was the first time my daughter tried the IV Therapy and they explained the whole process and the benefits of IV Vitamin Infusions. This was not my first time getting the infusion so I knew what to expect. Dr. Banfield easily got us set up which is amazing considering both my daughter and I are notorious for being challenging to successfully find a vein at the first go. We were very comfortable and relaxed during our session and even took advantage of getting additional saline to get extra hydrated for only $10 extra (it costs significantly more than that where I live). After being set up, Dr.Banfield gave us some privacy to relax and rejuvenate, checking in on us often to ensure we were ok. When we were done checking out and paying was very easy and quick. My daughter works full-time and goes to law school at night and not even 5mins after we left she told me how amazing and energized she felt and that she's convinced that this is something that she needs to do as part of her self-care...I couldn't agree more! The whole experience was professional, inviting/friendly, and custom-tailored. The cost of the services were the most affordable compared to other places I researched and there were no hidden fees or trying to upsell us any additional services or products (which I greatly appreciate). After I came in for the annual, she further demanded a follow up NEGLECTING TO TELL ME she would NOT be refilling my life-saving medication. After calling the office, I was told I would have to pay another $95, on top of the $166 from the annual exam, if I wanted to have my prescription back, which again, KEEPS ME ALIVE! not to mention the entire time I've been at this practice (was seeing Dr. Rutledge before BLESSED, she wasn't any better) my severe stomach pain, joint pain, nausea, GI issues, and urinary incontinency have been completely ignored.
