And, to add even more insult to injury, when I said something about it to anyone on staff...and, all I said was that people shouldn't assume things, because we all know what "cat lady" means in every culture & we all know that you shouldn't ask a woman if she's pregnant!!!?? Anyway, I was told, actually, I was screamed at, by a cashier!!!?? & in front of the entire store, the cashier screamed, "she was only trying to help you, & you are ungrateful & we don't have time for your kind, so please never come to this store ever again". - Don't worry. I am NEVER EVER EVER EVER, going here again. What a shame, I moved here from the south, & I was told how inclusive this area is & it is the exact opposite of inclusive. This is the most racist environment I have ever seen. Sad too, as I spend a lot of money & I stay up very late. Oh well, I see why Amazon is crushing local businesses & hello Fred Meyer for anything I have to pick up in person. This was the worst experience ever

They do have a good selection of items but most of their brands are the premium ones. I did find the vegetables are ok priced as are most of the dry goods and snacks. Their margin is in frozen food. Some items are astronomically higher. Lamb Kebabs for e.g. are 22+ and the same brand item is $12 in anything not called Apna Bazaar. I wish they fairly price and not rip off their clientele. There are other competing Indian stores nearby (but with not as much inventory) that are hurting for business. 4 stars for selection and cleanliness, 1 star for price, 2 stars for unfriendly cashier, 4 star for accessibility and parking, 5 stars for a write-in requests board

The samoon bread was insanely fresh. They were popping out batch after batch. That bread was soft, delicious & every ounce of comfort you could expect from fresh baked bread. I went a couple weeks ago and tried to order a shawarma but I must have came to early bc they were not ready. So today I decided to try again. I ordered the combo and the digital menu shows the combo as $14.99 but it rang up at $15.99. Not a big deal but the digital board should be updated. If you order online, the price does show for $15.99. The cashier was okay. Not as friendly with me as she was with others. It was like I was bothering her by ordering food. The gentleman who was in the back cooking my food was pretty friendly though. Honestly, based on the experience with the cashier it would be pretty easy to not rush back. But the shawarma was just good as I remembered. The chicken was juicy and extremely flavorful. Now that I work closer to this location, it will definitely be in rotation for me. The samoon was calling my name on this visit but I will definitely have to wait until next time and get it with some hummus. You can order the shawarma on the samoon also.

They also have a small isle for produce and I believe they sell meats all the way at the back. There are other shops within the store so it's a great idea to look around. Before you exit, I suggest you check out the dessert area. I knew exactly the spot, and decided to check it out. This place gets an A+ on selection, but that is where the praise stops. I saw so many things I was interested in, but unfortunately, 90% of what I saw had no price on it. It's kind of hard to shop when you have no idea what the prices are. Judging from the prices I did see; I would say pricing here was on the aggressive side. I considered checking out the Taqueria, but unfortunately the menus consisted on plates only. I just wanted to try a single taco, and small side of rice and beans, but the only taco option was a 3-taco plate. I ended up buying 4 fresh salsa and a bag of chips. 2 of the 4 salsas were terrible and one of the remaining 2 was decent, but all salsas needed salt and the Habanero option was the mildest of the bunch. The chips were also commercial and not homemade as I hoped. Enough people were shopping to let me know the community supports the business, but that also could be because they are the only option. There are larger stores in both Burien and Federal Way that have better pricing, I'll certainly shop there before returning here again.
