I order two packs of cigarettes and pay 40 dollars using two twenties and ask to put the rest on gas. Go to pump the gas and he only put 13.00 on my pump. Took the receipt back and he says the receipt is correct. Blew my mind! So the manager comes and says the same thing!!!!! She says the rest went to tax!!!! So you mean to tell me the tax on 40.00 cash is 7 dollars? And she says that me and the worker failed to show her where the money is missing. OMG where do they find these people to work at these places. I feel sorry for your business having to hire people who don't understand basic math to manage your store!!! OMG and then she tell me there is no way for her to refund her anyway after I paid cash!!! How ignorant can you be to not realize if I over paid the drawer would turn up even! The store is always clean, the staff is always friendly and I can get a Starbucks when I walk in! They have an outstanding selection of produce. Each time I go it seems they are adding more and more gluten free options which helps me out! The best part, we earn fuel points so that I can save on gas!!! Now I'm not sure about all of you, but I love saving money! The only way I would stop shopping here is if they put a Kroger or an HEB near by as I think they are the only 2 stores that may have a bit of an edge!

First the Parkers Kitchen or Gas Station looks fairly new so the filling area and parking are extremely clean. There are wash basins at each pump so everyone can clean their windshields. The prices seem to be updated real time so their gas is going to be market priced just like any other major gas station. As far as getting out, as long as you're going one way it's easier otherwise it can be an adventure. Walking inside it's like.... Like walking into a gas station in Napoleon Dynamite, extremely sterile and ominously quiet. I mean it's cleaned, well stocked and clearly laid out but void of character as if intentionally life draining. Sorry, it's just the vibe I picked up on. They have standard snacks and drinks. Versions of Mt Dew, lots of types of beer, chips by the bagful. They have a very clean and extensive soft drink station, enough to satisfy the most persnickety of kids. That said, their little food station smelled pretty good. Now before I moved to Texas and walked into Buc-ees I never EVER ordered "homemade" food from a gas station; NEVER. However I've since softened that stance. While I didn't indulge this particular visit, they did have some aroma's that tempted me, such as freshly fried chicken. I did note that cigarettes here were more expensive than other stores. I'm not sure if I like how they have their checkout. It seems a bit interesting with one, somewhat aloof attendant manning three self-checkout stations. My mind believes the model will work yet it was going slow on this day. So the jury is out. Overall, a gas station has to really go far out to entice me to do anything other than my normal "gas station stop ritual" which is buy gas then leave. Parkers is clean and a safe spot but it has a weird middle of nowhere vibe. As far as what 90% of us do, this is a great place to stop in.

On Saturday I drove to this location and paid $40.00 for fuel on Pump number one. I began attempting to pump gas and only 6 cents of gas was released from the pump. I proceeded to return to the store and inform the cashier and she told me the pump is not working and there is nothing she can do. She told me I could hang up the pump and proceed to a different pump. I said well I already paid $40.00 on pump one. She said they didn't charge me though my bank confirmed the funds are pending and they aren't available due to the pre authorization placed by Parker's! She said I could move to another pump and I would have to pay again.. I didn't want to try any other pumps or pay more money at this gas station. I left with 6 cents of gas and $40.00 less in my bank account. I THEN had to drive to another gas station to STILL get some gas. I was NOT happy. Luckily I have the funds to purchase gas from somewhere else until I get my refund but What if I didn't?? I find this scenario unacceptable. Upon driving off I noticed that no one place an out of order sign on the pump.... If it happens again I will report it to the local news station.
