We had Apex approach us to be a promo home. We are were in Brookfield WI at the time. The sales rep, the installation team, and product were wonderful. We had casements, sliders, and patio door donel. Our price was very afordable. The triple pane glass made a world of difference. We sold our home and the buyers were thrilled with the transferable warranty. We were so please with the product, we are installing Apex windows and patio doors again at our new condo. terrible experience. Don't go with Apex!!! Delays in our order, upon delivery one window was broken but they pressured us to install. Returned the window to be fixed and was lost for months. Apex kept billing and when we asked when the window would be installed, Apex said invoice was completed? An investigation finally "found our window in the warehouse" and would call to schedule installation with in 24hours. Two weeks later finally got on the schedule, only to have to be rescheduled 4x!!! As of today 8 months later still not completed. WORST!!! read more

We just had all of our windows replaced through Apex. They did 34 windows in one day. Their installers worked diligently to get everything done cleanly and with only one to two designated installers entering the house. They were always masked. They cleaned the windows and vacuumed the inside areas as well. I could definitely feel the difference between the drafty old windows and the new triple paned ones immediately. I'm looking forward to being able to clean our windows more easily. Also, the sliding window screns give us a much better view. Apex was also helpful in working with us to get our bathroom picture windows changed to casements in an attractive way. read more

Salesperson showed up in our no solicitation neighborhood and rang our door bell twice. Our doorbell is clearly labelled with no solicitation signs. He was not wearing a mask. He also rang at our elderly neighbor's door, walking right next to yet another no solicitation sign. He had the temerity to argue about the signage. He finally left when I threatened to call the cops. I will never do any business with companies that hire such idiotic and reckless sales people. read more

The experience leading up to the completion of the installation was positive. The windows themselves are great. Unfortunately, the installation left us with a punch list of about a dozen items that we shared that needed attention. No argument on the punch list from Apex or their installer during the walk-through. However, at the time of writing this review in late March, it's been almost two months since the installation, and we have not been able to get the installation sub back to attend to the items, which range from minor to significant issues. Also, one of the largest and most prominent panes at the front of the house arrived cracked that and has been filled with moisture since installation, giving the front windows an awful look. I understand this can happen, but it's unfortunate that it's such a prominent pane, and we've been told it will likely be over eight weeks before a replacement is available. I'll update this review when things get resolved. read more

I got a quote from these guys in the past. They were a little on the expensive end so I continued to shop. I went with a different window company. These guys come to my door today and ask about the windows and I tell them I'm getting them installed by someone else. His response was "Well good luck, we will see you in 10 years when your windows fall apart" and then he walked away. This was two employees, one appeared to be younger (maybe traning). What kind of buisness reacts that way just because they weren't chosen? It was by far the rudest I've had a door to door salesman act. Zero stars all around. read more

We are approaching two years since ordering our windows with Apex and we still have problems they haven't fixed. The windows were installed incorrectly and left crooked in the frames. The window manufacturer sent out an inspector who found errors in installation in almost every room. The window manufacturer replaced the windows that were crooked from the factory but they cannot fix the frames that were done incorrectly. That falls on Apex and they do not get in touch with us or reply to emails or follow through on any of their promises. I would never do business with them. They are either incompetent at installing windows or knowingly do a bad job and leave it hoping the owner won't figure it out. read more

A year ago I would have said that I never hire solicitors. Wait a second. A year ago I did say that. A gentleman from Apex Energy Solutions rang my doorbell and told me that they were looking to install windows in a promotional home in my neighborhood--to advertise their product and thus drum up new business here--and that my house looked like a good candidate. I would get a very special rate on windows if I agreed. As always with solicitors, I sent him on his merry way. I soon regretted this. The first indication that he was different from others who'd come to my door with sales pitches was that he quickly thanked me for my time and left. No insisting that I consider his product, no asking for my contact information, nothing. The second indication was that he drove away. He was not, as I'd assumed, knocking on every door. He really had singled out my home. And he was right. I did need new windows. I was already planning to buy them. I just hadn't planned to buy them from a solicitor. Then I did my research. Apex is different from most home service companies. That's why I'd never heard of them. Instead of buying advertising, they rely on targeted soliciting, promotional homes, and word of mouth. They give their lowest rate to the first one or two homes in a neighborhood they want to move into, their next lowest rate to a certain number of homes after those, then their "regular" rate to everyone else. I know that many companies make claims about promotional rates that are really just dishonest sales tactics, but I at least never saw any evidence that this wasn't Apex's real practice. Intrigued, I called Apex and told them that, after all, I was interested in learning more. Tracy came to my home. She was very polite and personable--one of the most likeable and genuine-sounding salespeople I've encountered. She explained their business model and their products, then calculated an estimate for the windows I wanted. Afterwards I got quotes from several other window installers: both a big national company and local contractors. Apex's promotional rate was not the lowest, but it was a good price for the quality of the product they were offering. When I expressed my uncertainty about the price to Tracy, she explained, clearly and without pressure, the differences among the types of windows. As you've probably guessed by now, I went with Apex. I've been very happy with both the process and the results. The installers arrived on time, were polite, and worked, as far as this non-expert can tell, efficiently. Removing and replacing eight windows and a glass door took a little over a day. The resulting windows are beautiful and, ten months later, in good working order. Customer service has been great. I had a few minor issues, with a crank, a lock, and the sliding door not working properly. They quickly sent someone over to fix each problem. A couple times the screens have needed to be replaced (nice work, dogs and cats). Honoring the lifetime warranty, which includes labor for two years, they sent someone to replace those at no charge. The biggest problem was that, mysteriously, several electrical outlets in my house stopped working when they installed the windows. Though it took several visits and phone calls, eventually the local president of the company stepped in and paid for an electrician to fix the problem (the installers' equipment, it turned out, had overtaxed a connection). Oh, I should note that, as a promotional home owner, I was required to have an Apex sign in my yard for three months. I didn't mind, but I suppose some customers might. If I refer someone and they buy windows, I get a cash reward; the reward is higher during those three months. So, I'm very happy with my windows and with Apex's service. I heartily recommend Apex if you're looking for windows, especially if they're new to your neighborhood and you can get their promotional price. And, well, it's nice not waking up to find a thick layer of ice on the inside of my windows. read more

I reached out to Apex after seeing a post about a promotional offer on windows for neighborhoods that did not already have a promo home. Jay came to our house and brought a sample window with him, did a presentation and after getting a window count and measurements, came up with our quote all probably within an hour. It was a deal we could not pass on, our 1969 house still had the original windows and they were very drafty! A couple months later our windows arrived for installation. Installation took a couple days and went fairly smoothly. Some of the screens were broken, some were missing. They reordered those screens for us and we had those a couple months later. The new windows are beautiful and we love them, head and shoulders above what was there before. We had a very positive experience! read more

Apex replaced all the original 40-year windows in my home with these beautiful new windows. The process was refreshing and easy from start to finish. The sales team was friendly and personal and the service team did an impeccable job with what I'm sure was some scary stuff behind those old windows. What got me is the price for such high quality windows. I feel like my home has been transformed, especially with the beautiful new picture window looking out onto the backyard. Our experience with sales and installation was very smooth, and we were very happy with the prices to replace our 14 windows and a sliding patio door. The old original double pane windows were leaking and clouded up, and you could feel the winter cold coming in. I waited to post this to see what effect the triple pane windows had on our energy bill for two winters. With 3,000 sf home, and forced air gas furnace, we were running $300-350 some months. In the two winters since with the new triple pane windows, our highest energy bill was $250. That includes the 2018-19 winder that was much colder and due to an illness I was home a lot, with the heat turned up. We are also happy with the quality, they still operate very smoothly, with the upstairs windows easily removed from inside for cleaning. read more

We got our windows installed last spring. The installer was fast and professional. The sales team was great. We were able to match our existing windows almost perfectly both inside and out, which is great when you aren't doing all the windows at the same time. We had a couple hiccups getting the windows, but they worked with us to make it right. Now with -27 degree weather it's very apparent which windows we replaced and which we didn't. They are solid, not letting any cold air in. Our old windows are covered in frost, and the new ones are clear. We can't wait to replace the rest of our windows! read more

First let me say that the windows themselves are very nice, a definite improvement from what we had. However, the customer service we received was VERY POOR. We signed the contract in March, 2018 and the job was not complete until October 15, 2018. This was a door-to-door solicitation in a deed restricted community and we were given an "amazing deal" to be the first people in the neighborhood to get the windows. (Can't believe I fell for that.) Needless to say we have had numerous issues...panes not straight (from manufacturer), broken panes, wrong window ordered, NO communication as to what was going on (until time to pay the bill). I cannot recommend this company and would be wary of these sales tactics. read more

Terrible company. They go door to for selling windows that are three times as expensive as anyone. I do not recommend.

First, let me say the triple pane glass is very energy efficient. The glass stays warm in the cold Minnesota winter. I bought two types of windows, casement and sliding. The casement window (hinged with a crank to open) is very good and I would rate it five stars. However, most of the windows I purchased were sliders, they open by sliding left to right. Most sliders have a weep hole to let water out. These widows have a weep chamber. The windows slide on a piece of plastic that raises it up from the window frame creating the chamber. Water drains into the chamber then into a weep hole. As far as I can tell, if debris gets into the weep hole, there is no way to clean it out. To prevent wind from flowing back in the chamber, there is plastic mesh, like a green scrubbie used to wash dishes, but cheaper. The chamber below the sliding window but above the frame is uninsulated. During the winter, I took a laser thermometer to read the surface temp of the window frame. It was about as cold as it was outside -7F and there was a frost buildup on the frame. I called Apex to see if there was an install error, they came out, doubled the amount of plastic mesh in the weep hole and told me to open the blinds to keep the window frame warm. This winter, I will try putting some insulation in the weep chamber, to see if it helps keep the frame from frosting over, but, based on what I paid, this is a hassle a homeowner should not have to deal with. If you are looking for only casement windows, the Apex is great. Look other places for sliding windows. read more

They wouldn't show the windows to my husband without me there and got nasty about it and let me a nasty phone message. I would not recommend this company. Our experience with Apex Energy Solutions was fantastic. Kory was more than helpful with the his explanation of how their windows would save us energy. He gave an excellent demonstration on how the window worked and what type of materials were used to put together this intricate window. Most people you talk to these days tend not to give you all the details, however, Kory gave us every bit of information we would need to know before making our decision. After we made the decision to purchase and the windows were ordered, I received a phone call from Bob, the lead foreman/installer, who let me know that they would be able to complete the job for all of our windows in just one day! They did just that and they were even completed by 4pm. All of the associates on the installation team were courteous, hard-working, and fun to chat with while my wife and I were in and out throughout the day. After just one day of having our new windows, it was as if we had been given a different house. Each room was balanced in temperature and very comfortable to be in and our windows just look incredible. We are so excited to have them open this fall and have fresh air in the house. read more
