I'm confused to give a positive or negative review, on one hand they got the new headlights in, unfortunately they missed step 1 in the install procedure and left the wiring harness in the box and left the cables disconnected. Old lights were placed on top of the harness so it wasn't hidden, and yeah literally step 1 on the install procedure they had. So I did have to go back home and finish the job myself. 90% of the work was great but they just didn't finish unfortunately. Prices were fair, but would expect 100% of work done for the price. read more

If you have a Tesla model 3 then you know it's a car that can be customized to give it the personal touch. I knew I wanted window tint, chrome delete and I wanted to powder coat my wheels. I know of shops that do tint and powder coating but taking it all over town seemed like a hassle, so I wanted to see if there was a one-stop shopping place that would do all my custom work. A quick google search turned up Apex Customs. I got a quote from Tyler that seemed reasonable for the work so I stopped by the Tempe shop to get on the schedule. I met with Nick to explain what I wanted done. I had considered a stealth type wrap and was interested in the matte paint protection with ceramic coat but I had read it's a hassle with the thick vinyl and the Tesla mirrors. Nick actually showed me a car in the back they had done that had the exact wrap. Nick mentioned the pros and cons and I didn't take long for me to change gears. Nick then showed me various options and helped me decide on what looked best. My Tesla model 3 now has a 20 window tint all around. The nice thing about Apex is that they do the full back window in one piece. I have a full satin basalt wrap, gloss black chrome delete, gloss black powder coated wheels, and carbon fiber console/dash wrap. I couldn't be happier. Everything looks great. Apex Customs had me bring the car back after a couple of weeks and they went over it with a fine tooth comb and fixed a couple of minor issues. Everyone at the shop is super friendly. You can tell they take pride in their work and want folks to be happy. I recommended Apex Customs to my daughter and she took her Tesla to the Phoenix location for tint and console/dash wrap. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my Jeep Wrangler. Top quality in every way possible. Apex Customs was able to complete the following on my vehicle: Full vehicle vinyl wrap in black satin, painted badges/headlight bezels/tow hook, custom painted door hinges to match the satin, installed a new tow hitch and receiver to accommodate my personal towing preference, custom mixed my color of choice for the headlights/tow hooks/logos (lavender). They were also happy to order and install a 3.5" lift kit with new tires/rims to fit the new height and style upon my request. Not only did the team stay in respectful communication with me to make sure we were making the decisions together, but clearly had the expertise and I really appreciated the comfortability of suggestions and explanations throughout the process. There is no doubt that I will be back to this business for future car customizations and it will always be my #1 recommendation to others as well. Apex Customs is filled with a helpful, informative, and overall incredible staff. I was in love with my car before but after they were done with it, I fell in love all over again. Nick, Travis, Lisa, and anna were the only people I worked with or met while there but they all were fantastic and really made me feel comfortable and not like I was at a car dealership where they were trying to take my money. Lisa and Anna were helpful and amazing receptionists who made it easy to get in contact with Nick (tempe) and Travis (downtown). Brought my Tesla in to have the wheels and brake calipers painted and Apex Customs did a fantastic job. They turned the car around in under 48 hours, and the paint + clear coat looks fantastic. Beware of the bait and switch at APEX customs. I wanted the calipers of my brand new Tesla Model X Plaid painted red with white Tesla logos to match OEM. I filled out the powder coating form online and got a call the following Monday with a quote and to schedule an appointment. Come to find out when I get to the shop; the owner explains to me how it's not a powder coating, but paint. I was very hesitant and almost backed out without services because of how hot these brakes get on this performance car. However I was assured by the owner Tom and Robbie that it would not impact anything and look great. Less than 1 week and 100 miles later ALL 4 calipers are already fading where they are closest to the rotor. There was also tape left on the rotor from the quick spray job. The Tesla lettering is also crooked and the incorrect size. What your doing is false advertising and I want my money back, or the calipers to be powder coated as you originally lead me to believe. I have photos and evidence of all the email correspondence and the powder coating form on your website. I will take this as far as it needs to go to be sure no other Tesla owners are duped by your false advertising. You need to contact me to make this right. Brought my custom classic '67 impala in there for an estimate on a right fender repair. Tried to work with Robbie who apparently is one of the owners. Provided him with all the information with regards to Hagerty claim number, contact information and the Vin number. After several days I didn't hear anything back from him. I also requested a quote on some molding work that I wanted replaced around both doors. Never heard back from him regarding those quotes. Stated he was waiting on Hagerty. Not sure why that kept him from giving me a quote regarding the self pay molding estimate. Bottom line 0 communication from this company/shop. Felt like I had to reach out to them every other day to get an update. Very poor customer service. Obviously this job was not big enough to warrant their time and attention. Either that or they're just very disorganized and disconnected. Do yourself a favor and find someone that will appreciate your small job business and actually treat you like they want your business. I am over the moon with the work on my truck done by Apex Customs. From the beginning Nick was so helpful and diligent in finding the right products to achieve the desired look of my truck. I walked in knowing nothing about modifications that could be done. He spent and hour or two with me searching the internet and putting a list together of notes on what I liked. He then promptly emailed me estimates on everything I was interested in getting done. I decided to start with a lift kit, new rims and new tires. I came in and put down the deposit for all the parts. We then scheduled a time for the work to be done once the parts were in. I needed a pick up truck for work while mine was in the shop, so he arranged one with enterprise. The work was completed in 2 days. I was so excited to see the finished product, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I will be back to have them do my sound system, paint repair and lights! Dropped off our car @ 10am to get subwoofer n sounds in. We go to pick up our vehicle @ 5:45pm, 15 minutes b4 they close @ 6pm. We left @ 10:13pm w/o anything completed. Do not take your vehicles to this place...... Very poor business etiquette. They were asked in the beginning how much, how long of the wait. Im honestly disappointed to write this review.. I first found out about apex through instagram, My friend wanted to get some custom work done and I recommend him this shop. Everything came out top notch his car looked amazing. The only flaw would be that his splitter was not done properly. The apex team of course owned up to their mistake but still did not meet his expectations with a few false claims. I later also came to get some work done at apex. The job was great had a few easy bolt on cosmetic mods done. One of them being a boss 302 splitter. I write this with full integrity because I hate when customers try and take advantage of businesses. One night i was cruising down the highway and there was slight wind. I was going about 70-80mph and my car had lifted a bit. Of course me a little paranoid i pulled out 0f the I-17 to check on mustang and i noticed that my poor boss 302 splitter had flew off.. not only did it fly off and lost in the highway but my front bumper had the bolt inserts stripped right off because of the force of wind. I immediately contacted Nick at apex informing him that something was not right. A bolted on OEM splitter should not fly off and i asked if anything could be done. I sent multiple emails asking for help.. i spent over $600+ on that splitter and $500+ on installs (overall cosmetic mods..) Nick replied with 1 email stating basically im shit out of luck. I sent another email pleading for any help as i felt this was unfair. The email was sent on 6/28/19. No response what so ever. I have driven my car with embarrassment of a dangling splitter. Now needing not only to buy another Boss 302 splitter but a brand new front bumper because the inserts are worthless. I also recall nick stating right after the mods were completed if i had any issues just to call and they'll handle it. The apex team does good work but own up to mistake. Im not asking for much heck i don't even want a new splitter anymore all i ask is for something to be done about my OS bumper. My front bumper is in perfect condition (except the splitter) This was not accident of mine and it can be inspected for further proof. read more

Have you ever had a service done, and your expectations were so high that when the said service was done you were disappointed? Well this did NOT happen here!! I had several after market accessories done to my Tesla model 3 here this week. I went in and talked to the owner Tyler who was more than happy to show me around the business and the services they offered. He made some great suggestions and even told me ones that weren't necessary. I made the appointment and dropped off my car. When I went to pick it up it looked AMAZING! He said what they were going to do and did everything exceptionally well. I took in a cookie cutter looking car and it came out a unique looking one I was so excited to drive and "show it off"! Hello, my name is Chatauna Robinson. I had a wonderful experience today at APEX Customs. I had been looking for a body shop to fix the sliding side manual doors of my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. They both opened and closed however on one some of the tracking at the bottom was off. The other the latch had gotten stuck and would not lock anymore. The people here greeted me with a smile and professionalism that is rare to find. Gloria, the receptionist, was professional and courteous. She greeted my daughter and I with a smile and a pleasant hello. We had great conversation like old friends. Nick the manager was wonderful he immediately helped me and introduced me to a technician that would prove to be a very wonderful man as well. This man name is Chino. I hope I am spelling his name correctly. This man smiled and made me feel comfortable knowing that my van was in good hands. He fixed my doors and explained to me what he found and told me what my next step will be. One man, at another place, wanted to charge me $200.00 right off the bat without even looking at my van. However, the people here at Apex Customs did not try to sell me something I did not need. Chino told me that he does not tell anyone that he can fix something and then do not fix it and he said this to me with a huge smile. This was very reassuring. He really saved my van and money. When you are on a fixed income this type of service is wonderful to have. Knowing that there are still some people out here that do not want to take advantage of you is great to know. So when the time is right I will be bringing my van back to APEX Customs. These people here at Apex Customs, in my opinion, are someone that go out of their way to help you no matter who you are.
