Had Handy plumbing take care of an initial job. I thought the tech that did the assessment would do the job since he seemed to know what he was doing, Instead, he sent a relative. The tech kept having to contact other techs since he didnt seem to know how to address the issue and admitted he just started. Eventually he finished the job but took forever. I had another issue come up recently and Handy Plumbing sent that same tech. Again, he was having issues, and a simple job that should have finished that morning took the whole day. He walked me through the whole video -- what I was looking at, how you tell ordinary staining apart from actual growth, what the age of the unit was telling us. Nobody else had bothered to explain any of it to me, including the people trying to charge me for it. Then he said the thing that made me trust him. If he swapped the heater out before the staining underneath got dealt with, I'd just be paying to have the same job done twice. He'd rather I handle that part first and bring him back after -- which meant less money for him today. He was also straight about which pieces weren't his trade instead of pretending he could cover everything. I'm new at all of this and completely clueless. I'm not handy, I ask a hundred questions, and I know how easy I'd be to take advantage of.
