When he came in to take an assessment last march, he could not read or write any simple words. But now, after 11 months at PEL he is 1 year above his grade level. He is in 1st grade now and he is helping other kids in his class as well if they are stuck. We are so glad that we didn't keep him one more year in kindergarten.
