Apella is by far one of the best venues to host an event. My company's events focused on bringing together a highly curated audience of venture investors from all over globe, hence, securing an upscale venue that delivers service of the highest cailber is a must. I highly recommend the Apella for several reasons. First and Foremost: the staff is cordial, attentive, competent and will meet any and all of your needs. When we needed to get up a video and presentation onto the front screen near our registration table, they put it up in literally 2 minutes. Second: the venue is stunning. Sleek, but not too sterile, the Apella boasts stunning views of the East River, a beautiful cocktail reception area and excellent meeting spaces. Third: the food is delicious. The portions and presentation were perfect. All in all, our event was a success. Our event attendees made it a point to personally express their satisfaction with the venue. Do not let the location be a deterrent either! While it may seem a little out of the way, this ended up serving us in the end as the Apella is far enough away from the crowds that it makes the environment calm and less chaotic. This also prevents attendees from being tempted to wander out of the event which created the opportunity for more intimate networking. Best of all, it is still within walking distance of other awesome venues like the Gansevort Hotel, where we hosted our after-party. Truly Spectacular for Corporate Events. We recently hosted an event at the Apella Event space. This is far and away the best venue I have worked with in my personal and professional life. Apella approached the event with a can-do attitude where anything seemed possible. While the space itself is truly spectacular, the Apella team is second to none. Jaimie ensured everything was planned well in advance. This was our first time hosting an event as this company and she thought of countless things for us. The AV team ... where do I begin?! I was expecting one guy with some microphones; instead, we had a team of 4 or 5 there early to make sure everything was working and again, with that same can-do attitude. One of our presentors day-of decided to present from a computer. No problem, they had the plugs wired for it just in case and a computer on site if he needed it! We decided to add a break into the program; no problem, they had the chimes etc to get everyone back into the room. The attendants on staff to help with little tasks made the day that much more seamless. And, the food, drinks, view etc. were all spot on. I could have never pulled off the day without them and the feedback from our 100+ attendees was spectacular - "This felt like a day hosted by a firm much bigger/with longer tenure than yours" etc. etc. Many many thanks to the Apella team! read more

We held our daughter's Bat Mitzvah party at Apella and it was incredible from start to finish. Christine and her staff were pleasant, responsive and professional. I am NOT an event planner and Christine was a lifesaver for me. She coordinated with vendors, took care of the million little details necessary to make an event successful and was there for us the minute we stepped into Apella on the night of the party. I was truly able to enjoy the party because I knew Christine and her staff had everything completely covered. Apella has recently been refurbished and the space is even more beautiful than it was when we booked the space. The view lended the cocktail hour a bit of NYC glamour, especially for our out of town guests. The food was delicious, especially the hors d'oeuvres, which were circulated constantly (unlike some other parties where the hors d'oeuvres are scarce). The minute I put a dirty napkin on a cocktail table, it was almost immediately wisked away. This is one of many, many examples of the high level of service at Apella. My 13 year old daughter asked me to include her opinion of the evening in this review. She says: "It was SO fun. The food was amazing and it was overall an amazing experience." I couldn't agree more and would highly recommend Apella for Bat Mitzvah parties, weddings, or any other special occasion. read more

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at Apella and we could not be more happy with our choice to have our special day there. I planned the entire wedding on my own, and the operations staff at Apella helped to make the entire process easy. Our coordinator, Jaimie DeSantis, was amazing; she was was extremely organized, very responsive, helpful and professional. Jaimie assisted with vendor coordination for the day of, and ensured that the day ran extremely smooth. I did not have to worry about anything the day of our wedding, the staff at Apella went above and beyond to make sure that the day was perfect. The space at Apella is absolutely gorgeous. All of our guests were in awe of the fabulous NYC views and contemporary design of the space. We are still getting compliments on how amazing the venue is. Food and alcohol were something that was very important to my husband and I when we were planning our wedding. You can not get better than Apella - with all of the food coming from Riverpark, our guests (and us!) were thrilled with the caliber of the food. The bartenders and event staff made sure everyone had a full drink all night! Our hedge fund planned its annual conference and Investor Day at Apella; and having planned this event for years and constantly switching venues, we think it's a testament that we chose to stick with Apella year-after-year, as they delivered unparalleled service and assistance from A to Z. For the prior 5 years, we had changed venues for this event constantly, but after one year at Apella, we felt that their responsiveness, their hand-holding from everything for specific decals and signs for our event , and the facility's state-of-the-art technology was above and beyond our expectations. As a micro-manager, I would often leave the conference to ensure the catering team would refresh coffee or start setting up for the next portion of the event, but the Apella team was always 2 steps ahead of me, managing a perfect timeline and planning ahead for every foreseeable issue. I can't recommend the team enough, and in the events business, where surprises always happen, it's amazing to know there is a team out there who will do whatever it takes to deal with those little issues and see gaps before they become a problem! Apella is a fantastic event space with an incredible event staff. Christine and her team were super professional and made sure all of our (many) needs were met in a timely manner, both during and leading up to our 200+ person event. My team is small, and Apella made it so much easier to organize and manage our event. The AV team did an amazing job as well--they were very responsive to all our last-minute requests and changes, and they produced a very nice video recording of the event. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from those who attended our event, and it would not have been possible without the support of the Apella team. This was the first time we have hosted an event at Apella and the first time we have hosted an event of this size. I would love to give Apella 6 starts if I could. The venue is better than the picture we saw on the website, the set up and the interior design of the lounge and the meeting room are amazing, great lighting too if you are hosting a morning/afternoon event. The team were extremely professional and helpful. The communication with the onsite event team (Christine & Louis) was great, they were always so quick to response and giving us helpful suggestions on the design and set up. The venue and the view is absolutely stunning and the service is outstanding. We had some issue with the florist and the staff at Apella came through and made it even more beautiful than we expected. They literally not only saved the day, but made it more perfect than we could possibly imagine. I cannot say enough things about the staff of how kind, helpful, and resourceful they were - really top notch - way above 5 stars. The food was delicious and the ambiance very inviting. Wow!!! this place is amazing. If the unbelievable view and wonderful food weren't enough - the best part of the experience was actually the service. In a time when you just don't see people going the extra mile in the service industry, Apella has single handedly restored my hope!! I have reserved the Apella for several large and small meeting rooms within the past two years and have never been disappointed. The staff is always professional and courteous. They never refuse any request and are always available during your entire meeting. The food catered by Riverpark is always excellent and the presentation is wonderful. The menu is tailored to fit all your meeting attendees needs.
