I was part of a bridal party and they had promised the bride & groom to have food ready for us once we've arrived from a day of photoshoots. Something got lost in translation and we were served a big platter of hodge podge unrecognizable salty meats. Thankfully the food at the cocktail reception was sooo much better. The spread was insane from a caviar station, a cold salad and cold fish buffet station, and an entire hot food area complete with chicken fingers and beer battered french fries to stewed oxtails and braised beef cows feet! The chuppah area they have is not that big and quite plain in comparison to the rest of the hall. The food presentation during the dinner reception again was impressive but they had poor timing between courses. As we were just sitting down to the first course, they started clearing for the next course. With some protest, they brought back the sushi and salads on smaller platters. The cooked fish course was cooked nicely and delicious, the multiple courses were insane and again delicious. To top it all off the Viennese dessert hour was beautifully showcased and I'm usually not a kosher dessert fan, however, these were scrumptious.

When I first booked, Elite Palace was pretty new so I felt that they had alot more time and were more attentive. As the year went on, they got more and more busy and it was harder to get in touch with the banquet manager, Igor. I always felt that my meetings were rushed and when I asked questions about the big day, they were either dismissed or I was told that we would talk about it closer to my wedding day. Therefore, I was a bit apprehensive for a couple of months about how it would turn out and I questioned whether I had booked at the right place. About a month from my wedding day, I finally got on their radar and they started taking my questions seriously since the day was getting nearer. From then on, it got much better. The tasting was great and Igor made sure that we were taken care of even though he had another event going on that night. We were able to have a rehearsal the day before the wedding with my officiant and entire bridal party, which helped alot for the big day. I have heard from my guests that the food was delicious and one of my favorite aspects was the cake. I showed a design of the cake I wanted to Igor and in the end, it came out better than I had even hoped for. My maitre de and bridal attendant were amazing. They told us what to do and where to go at the right times. My husband and I would have definitely not known what to do without them. The only major hiccup I had was with liability insurance. Elite Palace requires all of your major vendors to have an ACCORD liability insurance and to place it on file with them. Two weeks before my wedding, Igor reminded me I had to get this and it sent me scrambling to all my vendors. Some of the vendors didn't know what it was and that was a headache but in the end everything came through. Overall, the people at Elite Palace are experts in holding weddings and I would definitely recommend having your wedding here.

With 3500 square feet and an outdoor patio, the space, views and value are unmatched in NYC. We rented out the entire space (rooftop, main space, outdoor patio and basement) and brought in our own decor, caterer, music and lighting and photography vendors. All the Atrium staff was courteous, professional and worked hard to execute on every little detail we wanted. They worked with our external vendors to make sure everyone would be on the same page for the event. There were no day-of mishaps because the Atrium ensured they thoroughly prepared to handle our guests, vendors and itinerary flawlessly. However, the biggest reason we had an incredible reception was because of Ivana Andreani, a consultant for The Atrium. Ivana went above and beyond to work with us to create our dream reception. She was great at communicating and explaining all of our options, helped us understand pricing, helped us create a weather-related back up plan (which we ended up needing because of Hurricane Ian!). She was incredibly flexible and helped connect us to excellent vendors for staging (Shades of Gray) and bartending services (WSJ Bartending). She thought of every last detail to the point where I felt like she was a wedding planner in her past life! Her experience and advice was invaluable and she was so fun to work with. That may seem trivial but wedding planning is chaotic and stressful. No matter how much help you have from family or a wedding planner, having thoughtful and intelligent people like Ivana in your corner makes a world of difference. From the amount of time she gave us over the 9 month planning period, to us never having to chase her down for help or answers to questions, it was clear she cared about us as more than just clients of the Atrium. She sincerely wanted us to have the best reception possible. She helped us maximize and transform each inch of the space into something more than we could have hoped for. Two months later and our family & friends still speak of how much fun they had at our reception. Every cent and minute spent at The Atrium was well worth it. 1000/10 recommend hosting your events here and try to work with Ivana!

The event space was recommended to my cousin via an event planner that knew/worked with the owner during the initial phase of scouting venues. Upon reaching out to her to schedule the tour of the venue, the message we got back from her via the event planner was something the along the lines of "please be on time because she has things to do" now I'm not saying this was the exact words BUT it was along those lines. Now, we went to see the space the next day. Not only did she now show up or communicate that she wasn't showing up, she sends someone who if not mistaken, is her dad and he was late :). He was very nice I must say. Probably the only pleasant encounter I had the entire process (and the reason I actually booked). Being that he couldn't answer any in depth business questions, we followed up with the owner with questions. It was pretty cut and dry, but in my mind I'm thinking this is a Black woman business owner and I rather give my people my money. She asked what time would we need the space because events after midnight requires security. I told her I'm looking to have my event 8-midnight or 8-1am, would that mean that I have to get security for 1 hour? She tells me, oh you would need it from 8pm-1am for an additional $130. Yea ok miss ma'am because that's NOT what you just said lol. Keep in mind, this event space is NOT cheap. It's $2500 PLUS a $300 refundable deposit if the venue is turned over clean and on time. I had my cousin speak to her from day 1 because I knew deep down in my soul I was going to curse her out for being rude, condescending and unaccommodating. Fast forward from October to January. The venue was booked from 6pm-2am as she only allows an 8 hr slot. That gives me 2 hrs to decorate the space. I asked my cousin to ask if there's anyway we can get in the space any earlier she says $150. My cousin went back to her to plead, asked if she had another event before mine and she said she didn't. She is just HARD for no reason. She eventually compromised to allow 30 minutes earlier. The ONLY accommodations she provided me, was allowing me to pay the balance on the day of event. It is now Jan 28, my team is at event space ready to set up at 5:15pm (remember she said we can have the space at 5:30pm instead of 6pm). At 5:45pm I arrived and everyone is still outside. My cousin calls her and her response is "technically, y'all paid for 6pm so someone is on the way to open the venue" Can you believe that? Lol. Someone finally shows up to open the venue and we walk into an unclean venue. There was a bucket of dirty water and a mop that smells like death in the doorway. There was flowers that was probably from a repass service or something, amongst other things. So not only did she not stick to her word to get us in 30 minutes earlier which I needed to decorate for my OWN event, but she opens the venue at 6 and we have to clean up before we start decorating. We had to call to get help with turning on the air and to adjust the lighting. Like noone was present to help or instruct us on anything. Fast forward to after the event. I had the space until 2am. We started wrapping up around 12:30 because my dj was booked until 1am and he had another booking after my event. At around 1:15am, a random maid was walking around my party asking for "Lorraine". At this time I had 6 out of 8 tables, completely cleared with chairs up, the last 2 tables being worked on, lights are on, dj is 90% packed up, 85% of my guests are GONE. As I am speaking to a few guests this maid interrupts the conversation and says "I'm looking for Lorraine?" So I said "do you mean LORI-ANN? Because I'm her." And she's like "oh yea, I just wanted you to know that the owner is on the way and you guys can begin cleaning up" LOL. So I pointed to the event space and asked her, "what does it look like is happening here?" before turning my back to continue the conversation. This is my BIRTHDAY. I am sending my guests off and you interrupt me, call me the WRONG name and speaking to be in a condescending tone? Furthermore, I have the space until 2am! If I decide to start cleaning at 1:59am that's ON ME. She has my deposit (and thank GOD I only gave her $100 vs $300 on the deposit).
