    Dinosaur eggs!
    Bill M.

Visited this library so I could print a fishing license. I refuse to pay for overpriced ink cartridges, so I have no printer at home. The AJ library is a perfect solution to this dilemma! The library is fairly new, so it is clean and quite nice! There are lots of computers and printers to use. The cost to print is .25 cents per page, and a library card is required. After I did my printing, my kiddo and I cruised around and explored a bit. The kids area is very nice. There's a castle-themed play structure, dinosaur eggs, and plenty of kids books. The library itself is very spacious, and much larger than you anticipate when you first enter. The ac is cold, and checking out books is a snap with the self-checkout station. My only complaint is that there is a nice saltwater aquarium in the front - it appears they've captured Dory, and are holding her against her will! How sad! Ha, ha! Put down your device, and take trip to the library! There's nothing like that old book smell.....

    Cool chair!

Nice pretty and clean library! Had to find a place to hang out and do some work while waiting for my daughter. Glad I found this place. High floor to ceiling windows makes it so grand. The kid areas makes me miss having littles ones around. They have a giant castle play area. If I'm ever in the area I will take my younger (12yrs) daughter here. So many things to explore.

The library is impossible to find, even driving around all day in the 103 heat, hoping you'll accidentally stumble over it. There are no signs indicating how or where to find it. Once you find it, there's a small sign smack dab in front, but you'll never see it unless you're standing right in front of it. The building itself is made of dozens of glass panels that look like doors, yet they provide no signs indicating where entry or exit doors are. You'll see a pair of doors all the way down toward one end of the building, only find they're locked. A large sign warning those doors are not an entrance would help, but that never occurred to the bird brains at Apache Junction. By the time you discover the entrance is clear on the far other side of the damned building, there's still nothing to indicate it's an entrance. Welcome to Apache Junction, a city on the cutting edge of the past.

Adj: Clearly Comprehensive and Incredibly Impressive…read more Chandler Public Library is a very impressive library. We really like books, so when we travel, we visit libraries, haha... We instill our kids with the love of reading, so they like going to new libraries too. Besides the books, obviously, we like to check out the architecture and the designs of different libraries. Some of them are really incredible works of art designed by famous architects. We visited this library on a SUNDAY. That's right, they're opened on Sundays. This is unheard of in many parts of the country. This was such an impressive library with massive stacks of books on the ground floor, and in the upper level there were lots of tables and chairs throughout for comfortable reading seating, and colorful art throughout that's cheery and uplifting for adults and kids alike. The second floor is also where they have an especially kid-friendly children's section, with tons of kids-sized chairs and tables and lounging sofas as well as kids-only computers. When we visited, there was a kids speech event happening in several conference rooms where kids presented their speeches and we got to listen in as an impromptu audience, what a treat! The meeting rooms throughout the library are available for non-profit community events and open to the public. Overall, the Chandler downtown library is an incredibly impressive educational resource and a gem for the community and we're glad to have had the opportunity to visit and plan to be back when we visit friends in town again in the future.

One of the first things I noticed was how spacious the library feels. Everything looked clean and well maintained, which made it a really comfortable place to settle in and focus. There was actually already a line of people waiting outside for the library to open at 1 PM on Sunday, which says a lot about how popular it is. One feature I thought was especially cool is their seed library, where you can pick up seeds to plant your own plants at home. They also offer the usual cultural passes, which is always a great perk with a library card. Speaking of that, I really liked how unique their library card designs are. I was able to sign up for a card today thanks to a very helpful staff member who made the process quick and easy. Inside, there were plenty of tables and outlets almost everywhere, which made it perfect for getting work done. There is also a free charging center where you can charge devices. Parking was also simple. I parked at the Scottsdale Civic Center Garage, which made access really convenient. Overall, I was very happy with my visit today and will definitely be coming back.
