Went for the first time because we had heard about the cool kids area and it did not disappoint! Parking was a little tight and you can tell it's an older library, but the kids section was really cool. If there are a lot of kids it can get a little hectic, and the toddler toy area has outdated and sort of old/dirty toys, but there's a cool outdoor playground with misters and tons of shelving and seating. Overall a cool place even though we just went to this one section. read more

Solid library a lot bigger then when I was a kid and a Teen Advisory Board member, totally cool the plaque with my name on it is still up, hahaha Beyond books they also have alot of cool stuff like a design area with a 3D printer and cricut maker as well as alot of different classes you can sign up for. They also do the culture pass and seed library so they cover alot of areas of interest. read more

The first time I came to this library a couple of weeks ago during the holidays, I took my toddler to the kids section where she loved. I did too. They have a treehouse and sitting areas under it. There's also a theater room where they play cartoon movies. Not only that, there's another room for pretend play with kitchen area and such. She loved it! There's seems to be a courtyard area you can access from the kids area. I didn't go there though. Another time I went, I frequented the fiction books. Also the customer service here is great. They were very nice, very thorough, and very helpful. One lady gave stickers to my daughter. Another wonderful thing about this library is their monthly calendar of classes, events, and programs. There seems to be a bunch of interesting classes for both kids and adults. I think I'll be making this my go to library rather than the one in QC. read more

Visited this library so I could print a fishing license. I refuse to pay for overpriced ink cartridges, so I have no printer at home. The AJ library is a perfect solution to this dilemma! The library is fairly new, so it is clean and quite nice! There are lots of computers and printers to use. The cost to print is .25 cents per page, and a library card is required. After I did my printing, my kiddo and I cruised around and explored a bit. The kids area is very nice. There's a castle-themed play structure, dinosaur eggs, and plenty of kids books. The library itself is very spacious, and much larger than you anticipate when you first enter. The ac is cold, and checking out books is a snap with the self-checkout station. My only complaint is that there is a nice saltwater aquarium in the front - it appears they've captured Dory, and are holding her against her will! How sad! Ha, ha! Put down your device, and take trip to the library! There's nothing like that old book smell..... read more

Nice pretty and clean library! Had to find a place to hang out and do some work while waiting for my daughter. Glad I found this place. High floor to ceiling windows makes it so grand. The kid areas makes me miss having littles ones around. They have a giant castle play area. If I'm ever in the area I will take my younger (12yrs) daughter here. So many things to explore. read more

I'm still being hacked by the library after giving private information to a volunteer to scan. When I open up a browser at home the AJ library start screen from their computers pop up on my home computer. Do not open emails from the library and do not give personal info to the all-volunteer un-force working there. Nothing has been stolen but my privacy from their voyeuristic prying eyes which creeps me out. Never will I step foot in there again. read more

I absolutely ADORE this ilbrary. The staff are incredibly friendly and know how to handle every type of customer. The book selection is very nice and you can make request/suggestions etc. If you make a request for a book they will ship it in from another library if available, if you suggest a purchase they will actually consider buying the book(s) and may purchase them in the near future. read more

What a great library! My first visit here and I came to observe their Star Wars reading day program. I love how warm and inviting the whole place is. They've got a great children's section complete with a castle, cave and other fun areas. There's a cafe, computer lab, teen area, and other rooms for events. Today's program was great and they had crafts like making a light saber, yoda soda, photo booth, costumes characters, free book and stickers, and bowling. Very impressed and the staff was professional and friendly. Seriously fell in love with this library. read more

This is the best library. The summer reading program is wonderful, and the prizes are great incentives for the kids to read. Prizes include Chipotle, Golfland, Yogurt Kingdom gift cards, etc. There is also a giant indoor castle, dress up outfits, and an outdoor play structure. Its a pretty amazing library. read more

This is definitely the best library in the East Valley (maybe entire valley), a true hidden gem! Always a full schedule of events for every age, huge children's area including a play castle, used book store, 3D printing, full audio/video setup & they offer community support programs as well. There are 2 playgrounds, one only accessible by entering the library and the other in front within the city complex. The beautiful views of the Superstition Mountains can't be beat and are an added bonus to this much loved library. Great place to bring the family & explore. read more

I love this library!! I have been to many libraries in the metro Phoenix area and Mesa. The staff are always very helpful no matter what you may need, including how to get into your email. I have seen staff sit patiently with a person and give one on one assistance on how to use the internet. There is a fantastic Mystery book room with seats for lounging. I especially love the Arizona room. It has books for hiking, traveling, biking, and just AZ history fun. This room has a private area with table and chair for relaxing and searching your favorite AZ book. DVD's are available for checkout, displayed just like Blockbuster, and include recent releases. Oh, and what a view of the Superstition Mountain in the lounge area! For such a small community like Apache Junction, this library rates very high on my list! read more

Got to the library just before five to pick up a request. The guy working shooed me away and was deliberately unhelpful. I'm not sure why they would shut their computers down and kick people out before closing. I work in a library and it is shameful for them to not help such a simple request. Any time I have dealt with someone in AJ it has been incredibly unpleasant. It's the last time I do. read more

The way they designed this place is great. The kids area has a castle the kids can play in, puppet theater, play house, playground, a dragon and the best part the kids are allowed to make noise because they designed it so that noise doesnt carry into the adult areas. The way that they have the books organized is the best that I have ever seen in any library and they have some of the most fun events like 80's day and Harry Potter day! Well designed. After driving 100 miles to see this highly reviewed library book store, advertising 10,000 books for sale, I was very disappointed to find a small room with old paperbacks and ex-library rejects. I continued on, found a few I would like, and went to the man setting at a desk, working on his computer, and asked where to pay....He said "over there", then went back to his computer and ignored me. I looked around for "over there", did not find it, so laid the books down and left. True, it is a large, beautiful building, but maybe it takes more than that to make a good library. Don't waste your petrol to go here! read more
