Tim of BB Painting Services was referred to my by a trusted friend. I hired him to paint the entire…read more2700 sq foot interior of my home in June 2024. After he began prepping, and painting trim and ceilings, he first painted my laundry room walls given my washer and dryer were being delivered right after I moved in. I told Tim that I wanted Alabaster by Sherwin Williams during the initial estimate which he indicated he could do, however, when he painted the laundry room it came out pure white and matched the "bright white" ceiling that he had just painted. His wife came out to look it over and she agreed, it matched the white ceiling and was not close to the 12 inch SW Alabaster sample. Then Tim told me that he does not use Sherwin Williams paint (!)-he uses Behr- and if I wanted Sherwin Williams paint it would cost me $5000 more (the initial entire quote was $19,000!). As you can imagine, I was shocked and upset realizing that he scammed me). Moreover, instead of working to troubleshoot what went wrong with the "Alabaster" color, his wife came out to help me choose a "Behr color", because apparently Behr is not able to match SW Alabaster accurately. The next day, without a call from Tim, I received only a portion of my deposit back, with no discussion, and an email from Tim telling me that he took all his equipment out of my home, and left, citing "he did not feel he could make me happy". (Of note I found a GREAT PAINTER named CAMERON WILLIAMS FROM @GREAT LAKES PAINT AND STAIN who did an OUTSTANDING job on my home - at half the price. Look him up on FB Thank God Tim "fired me"). I emphatically do not recommend Tim/BB Painting. His prices are double that of 4 other quotes that I received afterward. Tim is not honest, trustworthy or dependable (insinuating he uses SW paint on his written quotes, but instead "matches those colors using inferior Behr paint).

My biggest fear was if mold was behind the tile - he was confident it wasn't. But of course I asked if it was and he did give me a price like I asked so I would be prepared. He was in our home twice to quote and then go over job with his foreman. My wife spent most of the time discussing the woodwork on the steps and riser. They accidentally painted riser, we noticed this immediately and pointed it out, this needs to be fixed. Now, they will not return and say, "this is out of our territory." So am I supposed to call the Brighton Certa Pro to fix their mistake they were paid 32 grand for? I would be embarred is I was the Franchisor of Certa Pro.
