I gave elite dirt and demo $50000 of a deposit in January of 2025 towards a contract or a bid that was originally $61000 on my property after incessant harassment from my neighbors. I decided to move on and sell my property and cancel the contract and not move forward with excavating. And what it was planned initially, I asked and told elite dirt and demo that I needed an invoice. I asked for it at least a 1/2 a dozen times it took 5 weeks to get an invoice which was inflated when in the initial interactions, and I gave them $50000 of a deposit to begin with. They told me they were going to take draws on that money as they did. The work the inflated invoice I received had pricing, right? Different things that were never discussed, it was it unrealistic and inappropriate for them to charge me certain things like communicating with me. As a contractor they called code enforcement, and the building department per my reluctance, and I told them not to, but they were doing it into the kindness of their hearts, and they charged me for doing that period now that it's down to returning the unused deposit to me. They said they would have it for me. In 45 days, it is now 65 days and they have not yet return to dime to me and continue to fight me. They threaten me today telling me that if I did these 3 things, they would release my money to me, which is blackmail. I am appalled by this company. And then come to find out they are not even licensed in larimer county. To install septic, so I don't know, I'm just super confused. I'm disabled. They're holding my phone, my money. It's $37000. I mean, that's a lot of money, and they think that I'm just gonna go away. This is terrible. I don't know what to do anymore. They refuse to talk to me. When I do email, they say that, I am annoying for trying to communicate with them. It has been horrendous.

Everyone I've interacted with at Front Range Water Heater has been great to work with and their…read morecommunication is excellent. Responses by email and text are quick and they answer the phone or call back promptly. Highly recommend for plumbing and water heater service! I started off having them do some plumbing work for me to correct issues identified during a water meter replacement. They did a great job so I quoted for some more work - a leaky toilet valve, replacing the main water shutoff gate valve that leaks by, and a spigot that cannot decide whether it leaks or no. They sent thorough quotes that gave me all the necessary information to gather comps (none of which were comparable in price or thoroughness). I decided to move forward with the water heater and leaky toilet valve (when it rains it pours; AC went out at the same time I needed this job) and Tim showed up right at 9. He was polite and respectful and got right to work. He brought the new water heater in on a dolly, appropriately strapped and used a part of the cardboard box to protect the unit from the ratchet strap. When he had to run out for a part, he let me know and went to get it. The water heater install and toilet valve replacement took around 3 hours. I did a goof and moved cash to the wrong bank account and didn't have my checking account funded on the day of service. I called and talked to Audrey while Tim was still on site and she said it was totally fine to write a check that would be ready to cash on Friday (it's a Wednesday currently). Customer service is top notch and a great example of why to keep using independently owned businesses when private equity and corporate options seem like an easier option. One consideration is that of the 4-5 times Front Range Water Heater employees have been at my house, none have covered their shoes. For service professionals entering a home in all weather conditions and going back and forth to the nasty crawl space, that's a level of respect to the homeowner that I hope for every time and rarely encounter these days. So I'm not docking them for it but I do hope they consider the practice.

We found J&P on Yelp, and they were able to start w/in a fairly quick time frame. The crew was on time, every time. We didn't have the funds to nail down our whole project in one season, but put a good dent into the final project this year. These guys laid pavers for a pretty good sized patio for us, and we've gotten numerous compliments on how great it looks. They spent a tremendous amount of time measuring, leveling & cutting all the pavers to get them perfectly in place. The project took longer than I anticipated - but only because they spent so much time working on getting everything laid out and level. Our final project calls for a pretty good sized outdoor fireplace. In addition to the pavers, they planted some trees and threw in a couple trees for us, and they did the rough ins for the gas line once we actually get to the fireplace. We are quite pleased with our choice of landscapers and can't wait to get everything finished up.
