If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I ordered my food through UberEats Pickup so that I could go in, grab my food and leave. I have a very small service dog, and most local establishments aren't familiar or educated on service animals so I chose to pre-pay, pick up and leave to avoid any issues. As soon as I stepped in the door, there was a line, about 4 people in front of me, about 10 minutes later when its my turn to order, the old bald guy says "you can't have that dog in here". This is after watching me with the dog the entire time) *eye roll* As I'm trying to explain that he's not a pet, yet a service animal, another female says "we not trying to hear it, just cancel her order". Well it took days for me to get my money back from Uber. So my advice is to educate yourselves on service animals and accomodations. This being a place that specializes in corned beef, I ordered corned beef on rye bread. The clerk confirmed that I ordered rye bread. My receipt had corned beef on rye bread. Why do I get home and sit down to eat, open my bag and have corned beef on WHITE bread???? Who eats corned beef on WHITE bread? Not me! I was soooooo disappointed. How hard could this be? It appears they are now using deli lunch meat instead of the real corn beef. If I had know this I would have saved my money and gone to the grocery store for lunch meat from the deli counter and made my sandwich at home. At least it would not have been dried out. One of the best corned beef sandwiches ever. I've eaten here so many times I cant even count and there is a reason why! The portions of tender buttery corned beef that they fit on those 2 wee pieces of rye bread look impossible and you end up with more meat on your plate than your sandwich...but it is absolutely delicious. Get that with a side of fries or plain potato chips and you're in business. This location has odd hours (like not open on Sundays sometimes) which I can never remember and I end up getting myself all worked up for a sandwich and cant get one because they aren't open! That's a small mishap tho because I usually get one on a Friday or Saturday so I'm good. Also, this isn't a joint that you sit down and dine. These folks are packed in there in line (sometimes out the door) and they are on a mission: to get their sandwiches and be out. That's what you should do too. I got big beef corn beef on white it was juicy and warm just like I like it. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was undecided which size sandwich to get and the young lady who took my order Brittany stated getting the big beef was better choice because it was only a dollar more. This is a place that has the potential to be over the moon fantastic! AP Deli has amazing corned beef sandwiches, but I can't give them a five star because they still have a lot more to learn and do for their customers. First, if you have to raise the price raise it and go back to your roots and really provide a corned beef sandwich that is literally over flowing with corned beef. When your customers come to this restaurant they are looking for a great corned beef sandwich, and it is so underwhelming when you get a lax luster sandwich with one third to half the meat it should be, and use to be. In my opinion what is going wrong with Ap Deli is what goes wrong with many great restaurants, is that it becomes more about the bottom line in making profit than quality. However, in the food industry if you don't have the quality, if you don't have that special spark that made you unique in the first place, you won't be in business long. As far as flavor and potential Ap Deli is second to none, if they raised their prices a bit and gave their customers what they want like an overflowing amazing corned beef sandwich and fantastic fries they would forever be successful. I love the franchise so my recommendations from a customer and business graduate point-of-view would be to have a price increase, increase your quantity and review and audit the quality of everything on the menu, if it isn't the best quality get rid of it. If I was advising them I would have them branch out into other hot sandwiches like pastrami, and philly cheese, bacon/lettuce/cheese and egg, gyro, bbq pulled pork, steak and eggs, ham and eggs, and maybe a great fish and chicken sandwich too. I would recommend that they make multi flavored lemonade upon request, and find some amazing fries and add Cajun fries to their menu. Let me say that I remember when you could come here and make two sandwiches from one or have one heck of a gut buster sandwich that most of the time I couldn't finish in one sitting!!! The reason I'm giving AP Deli 2 stars isn't because the corn beef on rye isn't still good but because the sandwich didn't have enough meat on it to be considered a real sandwich for one.
