I handed the woman (Kathleen Worley) the FAILED inspection sheet from the previous inspection attempt. She said NOTHING relative to it whatsoever. Then when the inspection was completed within 5 minutes, as they only had to have their computer test for failed codes, she said I owe $30. I asked her if NC charges every time even if it's coming back after a failed inspection. She said if I had gone to the original inspection station I would not have to pay for re-inspection. No, I didn't happen to notice that on my failed inspection receipt, but I don't work on cars for a living either -- WHY didn't she tell me about this the moment I handed it to her, it would have saved me $30??? Had an agreed price with Owner to paint my 55 truck and align the front fenders and hood. They took…read morethe truck April 2020. Very little work was completed until I delivered an anniversary cake April 2021 to the shop. They did unauthorized work cutting doors and around the doors ( can not get a clear explanation) creating a 3/8 gap where there was a 1/8 prior. They did not fit and align any panels prior to painting. i was able to see the completed truck once the entire truck was painted. Gaps are awful. They are a Hagerty's preferred vendor. Hagerty's sent out an independent inspector. Report states the same. Owner refused to fix. They left a message that they were going to charge $100 day storage until picked up. (I think they owe me $100 day for the 15 months they had) Since the shop refused to fix their work, I delivered a certified check for balance. They asked me to initial final billing and sign. The work was not done correctly and the itemized bill had items that were not completed. I wrote work not completed and signed and handed the check. They would not accept that and said it was their policy you could not write anything on the final invoice. They wanted to have me sign the invoice which would indicate I was satisfied. They had the check and I told then I was leaving, they were paid in full. Tried backing up and the owner and employee were pulling the garage door down on my wife. They then blocked me in with an employees truck. Called the sheriff and they were told they had been paid and I left with the truck. While waiting for the sheriff, they used the F bomb multiple times at me. Shop had completed thousands dollars of mechanical work in the past on my vehicles. Had recommended to many people. Would not use the shop again and would not recommend. 0 rating.
