All I am saying, is if you are considering getting a membership here, think carefully about your choice. Things happen. Life happens. And HOTWORX does not care about you or your financial situation, all you are is money to them. I will add that the one in Madison seems to be more sensitive to people, and their situations. Having been a member of both locations, Madison treats you like family, as opposed to money.

A reputable Gym/Health Plex would at least keep it clean. Surely would be shut down if EPA inspected it most weekends. Other than wet area, the other facilities, weights, weight machines & equipment is satisfactory. Track is nice. I really like the fact that the heart rate is monitored constantly, throughout the workout. THAT is where you find true calories burned. You are working for yourself, not comparing to others during the workout. This was my first visit, so I was loaned a MioHR pod/wrist strap. Not sure if it's something you have to purchase with a membership or not. They constantly are coming up with fun themes and are open to feedback and playlist suggestions. They take time for each person at their level. OrangeTheory keeps you inspired and injury-free, the two core risks I've seen with other programs. A separate comment- there is a review with one star from a year ago by Renea about a bad experience at the front desk with someone called Lisa. Not only have I never had an experience like that in 300 classes over two years, but I don't even know who Lisa is/was. The core four at the front are Blakeley, Kia, Brittany, and Benton. They are professional, experienced, and attentive. From new to seasoned, they treat everyone like family. In short, I love OTF Madison and encourage anyone at any level of fitness to try. Btw, the first class you may be sore for a few days and wonder what you were thinking. Give it six classes and most are on track to a new level of wellness. Good luck!

It's hard for me to find a fitness plan to stick with, but so far I've loved Pure Barre and haven't burned out. Pure Barre is all about changing and toning your muscles through small movements and exercises for 55 minutes. It focuses on your thighs, behind, abs, and arms, tighting muscles that can be hard to work out. There is definitely a learning curve when you first start, having to understand what tuck means and how to control your body movements. Once you start to understand the concepts you can really feel the burn and shake of your muscles while doing the workout. I love that there are two locations in the Jackson area with times starting at 6am and ending at 6:30pm allowing anyone to find time to work out for 55 minutes. The community of Pure Barre is fun too, I've met so many people and have workout friends when I attend class. There are many different instructors and I love taking Erika, Avery, and Heidi's classes because they are very motivational and fun. It is also nice because Pure Barre does fun promotions like their 20 in 30 in the spring, CARA donations, and so on. The only downside is that it is a little pricey, but I think it's worth every penny. I have seen a total change in my body shape. I am more toned and lean. If you go 3-4 times a week you will see the most change. I started Pure Barre to get fit for my wedding and I loved the results and felt fit and beautiful on my wedding day. If you are looking to try a new workout, this is the place to go, you'll be hooked after your first class!
