Wanted a new look so decided on a ‍ cut. Googled barbershop and decided on Anytime Cutz because they offered scalp messages. Called told the person that answered the phone what I wanted and asked if the scalp massage was extra. Was given the price for both so I scheduled my appointment for a Sunday morning after I got off work . I was told I didn't need to ask for any particular barber so I didn't get a name. When I arrived at the shop and said I had an appointment, the barber asked who did I scheduled the appointment with, which made me panic because I didn't have a name. We talked I told him what I wanted and he agreed to do the cut but said he didn't have the device to do the scalp massage. Anyway I got my new look for the Summer. Perhaps I was misinformed about this location being 24 hours. I arrived at 8am & the door is locked. I went to sit in my car for a bit to maybe give them a little while to open. Another customer came up & began knocking on the window to no avail so she left. It is now 9am & still closed. Dude tried to charge me $65 for a shape up. I asked for a shape up and he kept trying to add things on as the cut went on and I declined everything. I did not get a fade of any kind and only asked for a shape up w/ beard and thats what I got. He then tried to challenge me that other people charge more When i dont understand what that has to do with me because you have a sign up saying haircuts w/ Beard is $50 and a shape up is $25 so he really just made up a price and tried to charge me it. I ended up just paying the $50 but was extremely disappointed in the service why have a sign with prices and not abide by it? read more

If you're looking for a professionally run establishment, this unfortunately is not it. On the advice of a friend, I called Mikal a day before and set an appointment for the following day. He confirmed the time and appointment (this is standard operating procedure with most barbers). The next day, I arrived on time and was told Mikal would be with me shortly. After 10 mins, I called him. He answered and in a very nonchalant manner told me "I'm about to be down there"....almost like he was bothered by my inquiring. Very rude. Shortly soon turned into 30mins and, then an hour. Mikal never showed up, and never bothered to call me and provide a reason for his absence or unprofessionalism. I even texted him to say I had to leave because of my schedule, he never responded. If this is the norm at this place, there are tons of more qualified barbers in Atlanta that a customer can take their business to. Zero stars, needs a crash course in customer service 101. read more

A real Black Barbershop in the heart of Buckhead. I had to write a review after i got freshly cleaned up at 10:30 pm on a thursday walking in with no appointment. Flatscreens, sports and the usual barbershop banter can be found here... Anytime. Right across from the Green Room and down the street from Frank Ski's restaurant. Went in about 11pm for a quick undercut touch up. The employee who was there was crazy rude and when he finished ( he did an absolutely horrible job) he told me it would be $50. Are you serious??? It took him four minutes and he butchered it, but at this point I just wanted to leave so I paid him, and once I got in my car I watched him walk out to meet another car where he handed the driver a bunch of cash and then shadily back inside. I got the WORST haircut that I could imagine. The shop stunk of weed.. which isn't unusual in barbershops... but how stoned he must have been could only be explained by the monstrosity that was my final resulting haircut. I'm a middle age guy with short-ish hair... just wanted a VERY standard clean up of a very standard hair cut. What I got was uneven, choppy and the barber Ray took a chunk out of the front of my bangs that couldn't have been done by accident. Yes.. REVIEW FOR MIKAL Of course I'd give ZERO stars if possible however I HAVE to give one. So here we go... I needed a barber in ATL so I googled some shops and compared reviews and landed on this place. I called the number for Mikal, spoke to him personally and made the appointment at 5:09 so it was confirmed... He let me know on the phone he can fit me and a friend at 8:30PM. Usually professional barbers stick to a strict regimented schedule so I arrived at 8:27 to the shop. I checked in and was directed to his "booth". He was finishing up with a customer so I figured I'd give him about 15 minutes. But let it be known I was waiting for Mikal at 8:27 at his chair.... now it's a waiting game 8:35...8:40...9:00... he finishes with his client at 9:00PM and walks him to the door. I get up and get ready to go sit in his chair when he brings someone else to his chair without making any sort of recognition that I will be next. Again... I wait another 30 minutes go by and he finishes up with his second customer and walks him to the door. I get up and wait at his chair. At this point my friend is annoyed so we decided to leave.. when we walk out we see him smoking a cigarette and tells us to have a nice night. Oh Mikal.... for you to be the manager of anytime cutz with this type of mentality... yeesh. Moral of the story I booked my appointment with the manager for 8:30, arrived on time, left at 9:25 without a haircut. I've been getting my hair cut here for years even when they were on Bennett St. I've never seen it the way it is now they should really bring back twin, my last visit was so unpleasant and I had to cut my hair off because the barber that cut me here messed up my hair. Its cool or whatever. I had a regular consistent barber I can barely make it to now being that my work hours have increased, so I drop in here various times when I need a chop. Everybody seems to be up on their skills so I just let anybody that's available cut me up. Parking is very limited depending on the time of day you go & can be pricier than other shops so make sure you are satisfied before leaving. read more

I'm new in Atlanta and I saw this barber shop while coming home from a night out and thought I'd give it a try as I like a good fade and barbers tend to really do the best. I went with my partner. He was seated immediately and promptly given a haircut. I was asked to sit and wait which was reasonable as I only saw two barbers in the shop. A couple of minutes later I saw another barber walk from the back and the barber who was already cutting hair asked me if I was ready. I stood up and watched the other barber walk right by me and sit down and start playing on his phone. I assume the barber already cutting hair is the manager or owner. He told the barber sitting down that I was waiting to have my hair cut and the barber said he only had 18 minutes left in his shift. I felt like he saw me and simply didn't want to cut my hair. It was a very poor experience. I will not visit this shop again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

Do not believe the hype!!!!! I had my hair cut here once which the cut was great however had to wait almost an hour and 30 minutes. I only waited because my schedule was so packed I didn't have time to go anywhere else getting off late and at work early for the next week, the barbers don't greet their clients they just assume a new client is supposed to know who is cutting their hair. This morning January 10, 2016 I arrived at the shop at 650 A.M. The door is locked, there are keys in the lock from the inside, there are cars outside,there are lights on, but the barber(s) that are supposed to be there are no where to be found....my guess asleep. Customer Service here is non existent. I've tried this place twice as if once wasn't enough. The first time I called and asked if I needed an appointment. The answer was no but it was preferred. When I came in, after making an appointment, I was ignored until after watching the 3rd person that came in after me without an appointment sit in the chair and get their hair cut, and I finally asked what happened to my appointment. The guy said he forgot. What?? The second time I came in? There were 4 barbers, one brushed his head for 10 minutes then left. After being ignored again, I finally asked who was available. Two said appointments only...and the last one took everyone that walked in after me without appointments. What kind of 24 hour business is this. Unfortunately, my father works for better business bureau and will be giving them an hidden unexpected visit!!! To be in a nice part of town, it is definitely hood here.
