Weeks prior at my trial appointment, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. She gave me some ideas and we played around with it until we figured it out. She did a great job of glamorizing me, yet she kept a natural look. Communication-wise, she was a dream to work with. She gave me her cell, and I never hesitated to call her with my latest changes to my large bridal party. She always was so sweet on the phone. Overall, she and her assistant made the whole wedding party look stunning and everyone was happy with their look. Amazing that Marybeth travels around Southern California for jobs and she's really great at what she does!

Tara has such an easy going, kind demeanor that even though there was a lot going on, she kept me calm and I had no concerns that she would not do her best. Every bride should feel beautiful on her wedding day and Tara definitely made me feel like a "beautiful bride". Also, I did a lot of research before I found Tara and her prices are by far the most competitive especially for the quality of her work. She is a very down-to-earth, friendly, and talented hair and makeup artist who will make you feel completely stress-free on your already hectic wedding day. When I first contacted her, we were unable to find a good time for me to meet up with her in San Francisco for a trial appointment since our work schedules conflicted. Instead of letting me go as a client and referring me to someone else, Tara actually went above and beyond and volunteered to drive from San Francisco to Sacramento (where I live) to do the trial run at my house. She didn't even charge me for traveling costs because she felt bad that we could not find a good date for me to go to her in SF for my trial, which I know most artists would normally charge any client for anyway. During the trial, Tara had very clean brushes, high quality makeup and was very detailed and made sure she took her time with perfecting the look I wanted. She also often stopped to ask me if I was okay with the progress of my hair and makeup and gladly made any changes that I requested. She really took her time and never once worried about what time it was or that she would have to leave after the agreed time for the trial. She actually went into overtime but did not charge me for that either and I honestly felt she was more worried about making me happy and giving me the perfect style than to leave on time. She was very talkative and made the trial very fun and comfortable and time seemed to zoom by. Tara showed up on time on the day of my wedding and was really nice and friendly to both myself and the bridal party. She took her time and made sure my mom and bridesmaid looked beautiful (and they were!). I really wanted a natural look and Tara definitely executed that! I loved my hair and airbrush makeup because it lasted all evening long and I did not feel like a clown with heavy makeup nor did I have to retouch anything throughout the evening. The best part about it all was that I still looked like myself and felt she did a flawless job. I was truly happy with my overall look. Tara is extremely laid back and talented and I feel she sees this more as her passion rather than just a job that pays the bills. That's what makes her so awesome! She was so sweet and patient during the trial and wedding day and really did make me feel like every penny spent was worth it. I would definitely recommend her for any future brides and actually look forward to the next opportunity to have her do my hair and makeup again. Her awesome personality, unpretentious persona, and artistist talent cannot be emphasized enough.

Huani truly loves what she does because it shows by her work. She is very efficient considering she was only hired to do 7 services and at the last second, she ended up doing double the amount. I definitely recommend her for any bride looking for soft natural makeup that brings out the inner beauty in all of us. Without any hesitation, I will use her services in the future!! Thanks Huani!

I normally wear little to no makeup, and I wanted to look naturally beautiful on my wedding day - while being camera ready too. Amanda did my makeup trial for my bridal shower and I was a little overwhelmed by the makeup at first, and Amanda did a great job calming me down and letting me know she barely put any concealer on me. I got many compliments from friends and family members who loved Amanda's work! One of my bridesmaids even wants her for her wedding too! You can't go wrong hiring her for your event. She doesn't awkwardly try to convince you that whatever crazy clown makeup idea other makeup artists come up with is better. She is approachable and receptive. I am an introvert. It's hard for me to feel comfortable voicing concerns without feeling like I'm burdening someone or telling them how to do their job. I never felt that way with Amanda. I felt 100% comfortable letting her know that I absolutely did NOT want to feel makeup on my face for my big day. I wanted to feel like myself, not like myself with drywall spread all over my face. She told me that she would be very careful to have a light hand when applying the foundation and she did exactly that. I did not feel like a cake face even a little bit. I don't wear makeup everyday & when I do, I always prefer a more natural look. I told Amanda that I wanted a natural look with a small pop of color. She went out on her own time and hunted to find me the PERFECT eye shadow. It was just what I was looking for. It was a beautiful gold, shimmery eye shadow that had a tint of green when you looked at it from different angles. It was beautiful! I loved it so much I have been using the same one on my own ever since. Another thing that was a concern of mine was false eyelashes. I did not want to have Mr. Snuffleupagus eyelashes. I had to wear heavy, thick falsies for dance shows in high school and had grown to resent the weight on my eyelids. Amanda found the most beautiful, light weight falsies that were comfortable and tasteful. The were just the right amount to fill in my own lashes and really were the cherry on top of the already beautiful makeup job she had done. Not only did she make me look/feel beautiful and comfortable on my most important day, she made all of my bridesmaids look/feel that way too. There wasn't a single complaint. She even made time to help finish the officiant's makeup! What a gal! Amanda is the BEST! She will continue to be my first choice for makeup artistry in the future. THANK YOU AMANDA!

From the booking to the test makeup session to the wedding day, Marge is a consummate professional. She makes everyone FEEL and look BEAUTIFUL and when you sit down in her chair, you just want to soak up the love she has for you, your skin, your face and your individual beauty. Wedding days are pretty stressful but Marge's energy adds to the relaxed fun and excitement of getting glammed up with your besties on their very important day. If you want a wedding/event makeup artist that is swift, talented, professional and has the best vibe, look no further than Marge. I'm not much of a makeup person but realized that the fluorescent lighting at the 9-to-5 cubicle farm was making me look like a zombie. Think Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Since I looked so frickin good at the wedding, I contacted Marge afterwards and signed up for her class because clearly I've been applying makeup the wrong way for so many years. I brought my bag of underused cosmetics and tools for us to review and improve upon together. Marge helped me develop the 7 minute "naturally-enhanced" daytime look that I've been struggling to create for work. With Marge's assistance, we weeded out some old and sucky products and used my curated collection alongside with makeup from her personal kit to practice on my face. Marge was great about providing notes on application and product selection. I learned how to use my brushes correctly and that I should embrace the joys of bright blushes. ::blushes:: I did the 30 days, 30 looks challenge where I texted Marge the face of the day and she was really supportive throughout it all. I'm really glad I opted to take her class! I now know how to enhance daily looks with ease, affordably and I definitely feel more confident in my makeup skills. I was so impressed with Marge's techniques that I took two cousins to a class and they learned the basics of skin treatments, beauty hygiene and makeup use.
