I drove 40 minutes to the appointment and the shop did not even know the windshield had not even been ordered. We rescheduled again and I asked for a call confirming the windshield was in. The morning of the new appointment I had not received a call. I called Safelite customer service and they tried calling the shop and no answer. They gave me the direct number and I repeatedly called and no answer. My insurance called and no answer. They told me they would contact the Manager and I never received a call. I cancelled and set up an appointment with a different glass company and their customer service was a million times better. Safelite should be embarrassed that they are a horrible company. I would not recommend them for anything.

I used to think a lot of them but not anymore I don't know what happened but it's not the same body shop as it used to be. Beware if you choose these people.

Cars are randomly scattered on their lot like discarded mahjong tiles. We go in, the desk lady is yelling at some old guy that he needs an attitude adjustment. She tells him, "According to this, you mumbled something and hung up without making an appointment." Half the people ahead of us in line are told, "We don't have your parts, you'll have to make another appointment." She then tells me, "We don't have your parts and your account is on HOLD." "What does that mean?" She reads from her screen, "It says your voice faded and call ended." "Yeah, I was cut off, but I called right back." "Then," she asked, "who did you talk to?" As if that matters? As if that's some gotcha! She tells me that we'll have to make another appointment. No thanks, I tell her. I don't blame the desk lady; she's part of a broken system. I have to say, this place has bad feng shui, the worst. That front office is brutal. Usually, I'm not one to complain, really I'm not. But they have documentation of when I was cut off, but not when I called back? Come on!

She originally offered me an appointment that same week, but I wasn't available, so we scheduled it for the following Friday at 3:00 PM. During the week leading up to my appointment, I received multiple text and email reminders confirming my 3:00 PM Friday appointment. My wife and I drove 1.5 hours to Springfield for the appointment and arrived at approximately 2:20 PM. When we checked in, we were told they would not be replacing my windshield because they only work on a first-come, first-served basis for customers who drop their vehicles off before 2:00 PM. I was told I would have to reschedule for another day, drop the vehicle off, and wait in line. I explained that I had a confirmed 3:00 PM appointment and had received multiple reminders. The employee told me that the booking agent sometimes gets confused and schedules appointments incorrectly. Unfortunately, this meant taking time off work and making a 3-hour round trip for nothing. Because of the inconvenience, I chose to schedule the replacement with Safelite instead, even though it cost more. I understand that mistakes can happen, but if your company does not accept afternoon appointments for windshield replacements, your scheduling system should not allow them to be booked. This experience cost me time, fuel, and lost work, and it was very disappointing.
