If you're considering coming here, do read this first and decide. It's hard to rate Dr. Anwar's technical skills as I have not been here enough (and have come only for minor procedures) to make a thorough assessment. After this week, though, for minor work or otherwise, I will never again because of the doctor's RUDE and CRASS behavior, for lack of a more scathing description. So unbecoming of anyone and especially from a medical doctor. Last Monday, I came for my appointment but after being made to wait 45 minutes with no explanation from the staff nor the doctor why I wasnt being attended to yet, I chose to leave. They compensated me with freebies but all I really really needed was an apology from Dr. Anwar himself which he had the chance to when I came back 2 days later. No sorry was said but at that point I thought I'll let his ungraciousness slide. What happened next was most unacceptable and unforgivable - the MOST RUDE treatment I got from any doctor. He doesnt seem to care that patients go to doctors with vulnerabilities as we open up to them about our imperfections, insecurities, illnesses, fears. He started by asking me about my concerns. Even before I could finish, though, without telling me what he was about to do or where, he was already injecting on my forehead. I proceeded to tell him about my other concerns (I tried) to which he hurriedly replied and with what seemed the least bit of care. When I opened up about wanting to have a slimmer face or jawline, he literally laughed, said I can't do anything about slimming your face, and walked out. No further discussion, no closure of the visit, not even a respectful goodbye nor thank you to a patient. One gets more cordial treatment from a fastfoods drive-thru. And yes, the doctor arrived and left and shut the door on me as quickly as a fastfoods transaction. Let me clarify - my expectations as far as results, given my financial limits, were well-measured. And if I'm told these were unattainable anyway, then fine. That does not offend me at all. But a doctor telling me that with an overbearing, ridiculing tone does. Doctor-patient discussions can be straightforward, but should at the same time be professional and respectful. Doctors hold special positions and relationships with their patients. I'm embarrassed it has taken me this long to post a review. I have seen Dr. Anwar now for 8 years, receiving Botox and filler. For those of you, like me, who are terrified of botched work or have seen others with work done that looks kinda funny- save your time, money, and anxiety, and just go to Dr. Anwar. I have to give him zero instruction when I see him because he has an eye for truly the most beautiful and natural work. It took me a long time to gather myself to write this review. I went to this "dr" where he doing Botox and fillers at shauna fox cosmetics in woodland ca. She's gorgeous but clearly not natural. She said this "dr" did her work. I thought that was a good referral. Went to my appointment. He and I got there at the same time he took 1/2 an hour to get ready. In the meantime, I'm listening to the assistant saying Shauna fox gets free fillers and Botox in exchange! ‍ panic setting in! He didn't ask me to much but definitely sold himself. I want cheek fillers and some on my smile lines. An hour and 2000$ later I came out with anxiety and bruising on my pointy cheeks and nothing in my smile lines. I said "where is it? I didn't feel it?" He said he used a microcanula and I wasn't suppose to feel it. I said "I see no difference and my cheeks look weird and pointy!" He brought in 20 yo assistant and she said "I see bruising!" Omg. He said "well your not suppose to see work done!" ‍‍ he said the swelling would go down! My gut was doing flips. I knew this was not going to end well. I called him a week later and sent pictures. I said "I wanted my $$ back and I was very dissatisfied". He said he would "fix" umm no thank you. He already screwed up once. 3 weeks later I went to my trusted dr who is sadly 1.5 hours away and had him remove the fillers and gave me a letter stating what he had to fix and no filler was placed in my smile lines. Please be careful who you choose. This is your face and a bad experience can make you feel amazing or HORRIBLE like it did me. It still upsets me to think how I got ripped off. So I came I found their page on Instagram and thought I would give them a try with my sister. I will say that Dr. Anwar seems like a genuinely kind and honest person. This is the only reason I wanted to return. Unfortunately I am a full time working mother of a toddler and it can be tough to keep appointments as he gets sick, I have work or no child care (I'm sure people with kids get it). Well I try to make sure I don't mess up schedules and so I try to let people know as soon as I can. Today I was working on my schedule and I saw my appt was on 2/1, and a work situation came up that I can't miss (ugh). Well I text them right away and I just felt the response was unnecessarily rude and harsh for absolutely no reason. I'm sorry, but I will not be returning to a clinic that I did speak highly of and did push a few friends to go. I'm sitting in my car and crying outside Modern Aesthetics. I got my lips done by dr Anwar 2 months ago really loved how it came out but most of it I would say 90% got dissolved. I came back for my follow up appt and the dr told me "come back in 2 months and I will give you half an injection for free. Since this is your first time getting it done that's why you don't see much difference and trust the process." I said okay I came back 2 months later. By now my lip fillers were completely gone. I was waiting for the dr they leave me with the numbing cream on for an hour and the dr came after an hour and before he started I told him that my lip fillers are completely gone and if it's gonna last longer this time? That's all I asked and he kicked me out of his office and said if I don't see the difference then why did I come back I told him I came back because you told me to trust the process and you promise to do half an injection and that will make a difference. He said he didn't promise anything and told me to leave, he will not provide any service. I'm still shocked and don't understand why he kicked me out. I tried talking to him to understand why would he refuse services and kick me out like that but he didn't wanted to talk and made me leave. I usually don't leave reviews on anything but I am very very disappointed and really don't understand why would I get treated like that? I paid $1400 in total for lip fillers, 20 unit Botox ( which I didn't needed I'm only 26yrs old but got convinced by the doctor and agreed to get it) and got broken capillary treatment around my nose. I got no results with that. The red veins are still around my nose. I paid a lot for something that I didn't see any or barely any results and got disrespected and kicked out. why? This is very unfortunate and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I'm gonna share before and after pictures here. The first picture is before I got my lips done the second is right after I got my lips done and the last on is now as you can see there is no fillers left and it's been only 2 months but it supposed to last 6-12 months and that's what I was told by dr Anwar. Response to dr Anwar wasn't able to find a before picture without lipstick since I lost all my pictures couple of months ago. But you can see the difference between the right after picture and the picture I took out side your office right after when you kicked me out. But the thing is doctor you don't get the point. Me writing on here isn't because of my lip fillers. The point is how I was treated and disrespect for no REASON! I never asked for free fillers. YOU offered it in my follow up appt and told me to make sure remind you when I come back in case you forget and that's all I did. I didn't mind paying again I even waited after you told me to leave you were completely ignoring me while I was patiently waiting for you to finish talking to your other clients and once I got a chance to talk to you and I tried to ask why would you ask me to leave? I didn't say anything wrong to you. your response was " if you didn't see difference why did you come back" and I said because you told me to come back because you told me to trust the process and that you will do half injection that's why I came back trusting your words. Your response was "well you're not gonna get The desire results with 1/2 injection" I said that's fine you can do full injection but no you still kicked me out. In this whole process I stayed calm, patient, and did not say a single negative thing or was rude to any of your staff or to you. dr Anwar I still can't figure out that why I had to be treated that way? After reading reviews of your other clients I came to a conclusion that I wasn't the only client who you kicked out. you have been doing this to many of your clients which is very unfortunate. Amber S is amazing. I used to be her client at her previous location and have not found a better injector. She listens to your concerns and goes over all options, carefully explaining what the process and procedures are and has great skills for injecting. I've said it before & I'll say it again- Dr Anwar is hands down the best injector I've ever worked with. And I've been to many across California. Anyways most recently I went to him for mid plane barbed thread lifts (2X) and while the fist round was a huge improvement, I still had this marionette shadow that I disliked so much. So I went in for a second round and we figured out that the shadow was due to a chin implant I had in 2003. I was 21. Now I'm 41, getting older and my skin is starting to become more lax, so the chin implant was causing the lax skin to hang around either side. I mean nobody noticed it but me. Aging is hard for me. Anyways, about a week ago Dr Anwar did another round of threads on my marionette lines and used ultrasound to find the borders of my chin implant, the applied filler to even the plane. And I'm so impressed! The shadow I once hated is gone. AND it ended up lifting the corners of my mouth so I don't look like I have resting bitch face anymore. Highly recommend!! PS I've been going to see Dr Anwar a few times a year at least since 2018 and I've ALWAYS been pleased with my outcomes!! read more

Doc was rude asf. Refused to do my fillers that I've been doing at other clinics for years. Just cheek filler. In the middle of me talking to tell him my areas of concern or where exactly the fillers were he walked out of the room. Returned 6 mins later. Still made rude remarks. And practically kicked me out. He said he wasn't going to do my fillers. Not sure if it's cause I wasn't dressed nice and was being discriminated. He made sure I left the clinic even stood by the desk entrance & waved. This was my first and last experience with this business. The Dr. was an hour late for my appt which was not a good first impression. Then he didn't hardly clean the spots he was injecting the Botox which I thought was odd. One of the spots he injected was so painful and was stinging for the rest of the day. I went one time to the restroom to their office she knock on the door three times! She is so weird and one time I went there 10 minutes late she behave to me so bad! If anyone is looking for a sign to get their lips injected by Dr. Anwar, this is it! I had been pondering on the idea of getting my lips injected for years now, but was always a little skeptical and worried about my lips coming out botched so I held off, as I've had issues with other cosmetic clinics before . I then came across Dr. Anwar on Instagram and was hooked after viewing his content and was particularly interested in the Russian lips, his floss technique and the keyhole pout. I reached out through their website and their receptionist gave me a call back. She was very sweet and helpful and booked me a consultation with Dr. Anwar so that we could meet and so that I had an opportunity to discuss the procedure and get all my questions answered. After the consultation, I went ahead and booked my appointment for a few weeks out, (although they did offer to do it the same day). When I came in, the day of, I was greeted by the staff and taken into a room to take before pictures & apply numbing cream. After some time, I was taken into another room where Dr. Anwar came in, made me feel SO comfortable, gave me a stress ball to squeeze, and before beginning the procedure, he checked in to see how numb I was & was very patient and tentative & applied more. As the procedure went on, Dr. Anwar was talking to me throughout the injections, to keep me relaxed and cheered me on. After the procedure was over, he got me all cleaned up, applied a lip balm/gloss, gave me an ice pack to take home & explained after-care directions. I asked and boy did he DELIVER! My self confidence has boosted tremendously. Dr. Anwar exceeded any/all expectations I had and I am so happy that I chose him to be my injector. First I want to express my review is not for the technician that performed my services, but for Dr. Anwar who did not address my complication after a service. My experience with Modern Aesthetics was not satisfactory to me due to a problem I had with a chemical peel that was done for the first time in their office. I did let the technician know that I had a problem with one in the past and I was nervous about the procedure. She was very good and used a lighter level of chemical and all was well when I left, but within 2 days my eyes became swollen and my eyelids started to burn and peel. I let their office know and they were very understanding and said Dr. Anwar would get back to me. I just wanted to know what to put on them to cool them down and help the swelling and I was very calm about the whole issue since I had a reaction to a peel in the past. I waited 2 days and never heard from anyone so I called back and left a voice message. Nothing. I finally texted their office and said I would be in their office in person on Friday at 8 a.m. the next day to see the Dr. Anwar. My facial was on Monday and this was now Thursday. Within 5 minutes of that text Dr. Anwar finally called me for the first time.....2 days after talking to his office. Should I have to threaten to come in with other clients present for him to be interested in helping me? He was completely apathetic in speaking to me and ignored my question of why it took him 2 days to get back to me. He suggested some ointments to use. I used the ointments for several days. At this point it was almost 5 days since the peel. It took another 3 days for the ointments to help. I also had previously done a hydra-facial with MA the prior month which went well. My plan was to be a monthly client for facials. This peel was 30 minutes and cost $250 with a generous tip. Sadly I do not beleive they are interested in doing facials or peels since their injections are faster and much more lucrative for business. I am now getting my services at another business and am very happy with the service (which is superior) and the cost (which is less than half of what MA charges). NO ONE ever called or text me to follow up at all. I had to call them the following week to give an update and get more advice. I use many services in Roseville and recommend to others which ones I use. I am not a difficult person and I tip very well. Sadly their technician has now lost a regular customer, but I do not think they care. I had a facial scheduled for the following month also which I decided to cancel due to their bad customer service and no one asked me why or called me to reschedule. Hmmmm. read more
