I had a very disappointing experience at this medical spa. The doctor was extremely rude and unprofessional during my visits. The overall environment felt more focused on taking money than actually caring about patients. One of the biggest issues was how they handled scheduling. I had to reschedule a couple of appointments, and instead of being understanding, the office became rude and dismissive toward me. For a medical office, that level of disrespect is shocking and completely unprofessional. I was also promised that I would see results from the injections I was receiving, but I did not see any results at all. It honestly made me start questioning what I was being injected with. From what I understand, the shot itself is not FDA approved, which makes the situation even more concerning. Whenever I tried to call and speak directly with the doctor about my concerns, I was constantly brushed off. The assistants would say he was "out of the office," and I was never given the chance to speak with him directly. It felt like once they had my money, my concerns didn't matter. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a medical provider. Very unprofessional, dismissive, and not transparent. I strongly recommend others do serious research before trusting this place with their health. This response only proves my point about the lack of professionalism in this office. Instead of addressing the concerns I raised, you chose to respond with insults and name-calling. Patients deserve respect, transparency, and professionalism -- none of which were shown here. One of the biggest issues was the $800 fee that was never clearly disclosed upfront. When I asked about it, I was told that if I cancelled I would have to pay the lab fees immediately, which essentially forced me into staying in their membership program. As a patient, that felt extremely misleading and unfair. To make matters worse, the doctor was texting me at 9 PM at night asking me to make sure I paid the membership fee. I have never experienced a doctor contacting a patient late at night about money like that. It felt very inappropriate and extremely unprofessional. What I find even more disturbing is the way the doctor is responding to patients on Yelp. As someone who was actually a patient seeking treatment, seeing the way he responds publicly is very concerning and unprofessional. It raises serious questions about how patient concerns are handled and whether patient privacy and professionalism are truly respected. Dr. Anwar is clearly very experienced, skilled, and friendly, which I truly appreciated during my visits. That said, I'm disappointed to share that I won't be returning for future services. The biggest issue for me has been scheduling and wait times. Appointments are frequently double or even triple booked, and the office is almost always running behind. My wait time has consistently averaged around an hour, which makes it difficult to plan my day and feels especially frustrating when I've arranged childcare to make it to my appointment, only for that planning to be thrown off by long delays. Because of this, the overall experience started to feel rushed and impersonal. I didn't feel like there was enough time dedicated to quality care, consultation, or attention to detail, especially considering the cost of the services. I've since found another provider who stays on schedule, allows more time for discussion, and takes a more careful, unhurried approach during procedures. I had an appt on Friday 7/11/25, and never was provided with a receipt even though I asked for one. The staff member assisting me was too busy helping another customer while she was completing my transaction-basically dismissed me after receiving my payment. If you want to schedule an appt via text, they are extremely responsive. However, if you want your receipt...forget it, they won't respond. After several failed attempts to text them and hearing nothing back from the office, I decided to call the office. The staff member I spoke to said that it was "hard to bring up my transaction" and acknowledged she saw my text messages, provided no apology, and really no reassurance that she would send my receipt. Customer service and professionalism-horrible! Last time I am coming to see Dr. Anwar. I sent texts to the office on 7/11 after my appt, and this morning 7/15 to follow up. Then, I called this morning @919am after not received my receipt nor a response from the office. A simple response from the office stating that they were working on it would have been sufficient. After going to this spa for over a year, the office called for three months straight to reschedule my standing appointment for laser. By the third cancellation, I questioned my value as a customer. I asked why are you guys always canceling my appointment? They said they we going to be closed or didn't have staff. The third time this occurred I asked why does this keep happening? I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Anwar and would not recommend him to anyone seeking professional and respectful care. I went in with a legitimate concern--a vertical indentation in my forehead that appeared months after my last Botox treatment--and simply wanted to understand if the placement of Botox could have contributed to it. Instead of addressing my question directly, he dismissed my concerns, asked if I had anxiety, and when did I check my blood pressure which felt completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. When I inquired about possible treatments for the indentation, his responses were vague and inconsistent. First, he mentioned microneedling and laser, then suddenly changed his opinion, suggesting it could be a vein showing, without offering any real solution. To make matters worse, he abruptly left the room for another client, saying he would return--but never did. I expect honest, professional, and knowledgeable care from a doctor, not dismissiveness and condescension. If you're looking for a provider who actually listens to your concerns and takes them seriously, I would highly suggest going elsewhere. I hate doing this, I really do, but yesterday's experience was so poor I can no longer stand by my previous review. I made an appointment with Dr. Anwar for 2:30 p.m. His receptionist called me around 12 pm and asked if I wanted to come earlier because he had availability, however, I work and I was already taking off two hours early to make my regular appointment time, so I declined. I showed up for my appointment around 2:15 and was quickly taken back to one of the exam rooms... where I proceeded to sit for 50 minutes. At one point, after about 15 minutes of waiting, one of the front desk staff stuck their head in and said Doctor would be in in a few minutes. Then... nothing. For 35 more minutes. I am not an unreasonable person, I don't mind waiting a bit, but this was getting ridiculous and incredibly disrespectful of my time. When Dr. Anwar finally walked in, I had already decided I was leaving as I had another appointment that I needed to be at. When he walked in, he addressed me by the wrong name (the front desk staff didn't update my name or service on the whiteboard in the exam room). Remind you, I have been a consistent customer of Dr. Anwar's for four years now, receiving injections 2-3 times per year. So, he didn't know my name and didn't know what service I was there for. I told him I needed to leave as I had another appointment and I wouldn't be able to stay for service. No apology, no acknowledgement that he was severely late, nothing. When I was walking out, behind my back, he told the front desk staff, "I guess I made her wait too long." Nice. I went here for under eye fillers. As a background, I've had deep sunken & dark eyes since I was super young and they've been getting only worse as I'm growing older. Dr. Anwar recommended i get under eye fillers and PRP done. The fillers for the volume & PRP for brightening the under eyes. My experience during the filler was painless. Dr. Anwar uses a cannula technique that left no swelling and no bruising. It didn't even look like i had just got something injected. As for results, I didn't get crazy drastic results, but I didn't expect that either. My dark circles are still there but because my eyes were so badly sunken, the fillers helped with the volume deficit and now my under eyes look better and slightly lighter. I wish I could put a less than one stare. I had the worst experience with Dr Anwar. It was my 1st time doing Botox for forehead. I requested to go easy since i need to get comfortable with Botox . End up being charged $850 just for forehead. After one week my eyelid fall down to the point where i had difficulty my work on computer and discomfort. It affected me emotionally, physically and mentally. After reaching out few times. Went visit again no chang or any real help to cure the problem but been told wait few weeks. I am not one to write a negative review however after three plus experiences I will say this establishment cares more about quantity of numbers then quality of service. Since participating in this establishment I have waited a minimum 30 minutes from appointment time to well over an hour. I have a thick skin for patience however this was over the top. Today for their 11 sale I was checked in 15 minutes after appointment time then check in with again 30 minutes later. The same nurse forgot she had checked me in and when I questioned her on timing said in so many words I should be grateful because of the sale going on and it is worth the wait. I then waited another 30 minutes to see if the doctor would come in. Mind you besides the fact I should be thankful same nurse said I should take up my concerns with said doctor. I was as even told to rebook if it was a problem but I would not get the promotion taking place. It was my fault for waiting for questioning customer service for that matter. The doctor is kind and on point once in the room but if your are wondering if you should be dropping $$$ into a place who cares more bout numbers and less about costumer experience that is your choice. I want to feel safe confident secure appreciate in my experience especially when it concerns my overall physical experience. I had 50 units left from my Black Friday Botox purchase and I asked him to only put 50 units in my forehead, the same as my last visit. He agreed and then he came out and told the receptionist he did 54. (Which he never said anything to me about doing more.). I wasn't sure why he would say that to her so I didn't comment at that moment, but then the receptionist wanted my benefit number, which I was entitled to an $80 credit ... so instead of me getting that $80 credit, Dr. Anwar stole it by saying he gave me extra units that we had NOT agreed to!!! Totally pissed me off. I was even contemplating using his clinic for my future pellet injections, but I refuse to do business with anyone who cheats their clients like this. I'll never go back!!! I ended up with pointy cheeks and noticeable filler lumps throughout. No filler in my smile lines and BOTOX which I did not ask for. My budget was $600. I ended paying $2000!!!!!! I can go on and on about Dr. Anwar and how wonderful my experience was as a client of his... I made the best decision by switching to him as my primary injectables and skincare MD. My story starting out injectables for the first time is, well, sort of a horror story-- I naively went to a DDS without doing my research before hand. While I was lucky that he didn't screw my face up, I was being taken advantage of at that time-- for instance, my previous injectable professional would tell me to "bring cash for a discount" and be given ultimatums for higher prices if credit was used... and getting treatments of 30 units of dysport for nearly 15/unit... which is ridiculous... Sorry, venting... I digress... but it was at that time where I knew I had to find someone else. And if you're in a similar position, you should make the jump to Modern Aesthetics. After doing more research and receiving a recommendation from a friend-- I made an appointment with Dr. Anwar and traveled all the way from Napa, CA with my fiancé for injectables. I can truly say, without hesitation, that this appointment was the best appointment of my life. Dr. Anwar is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares for his clients. From the moment you walk in, the environment is welcoming, hospitable, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. The facility also observes current Covid-19 protocols, which is always a plus.
