Had such an amazing time this past weekend at my wedding! The Antrim catered to our every need and Jill made the night so great. Thanks to everyone involved.

Do NOT Uber here. You will not be able to leave as there are no Uber's, Lift's or local taxi's. We made the mistake of taking an Uber from Gettysburg and were left stranded. Thankfully the wonderful hotel manager gave us a ride back to Gettysburg on his own time and in his own car very late at night, this level of service is not found anywhere and was truly appreciated!! He saved us and we are so thanful We went for a wedding, the grounds are amazing and have such beautiful flowers. Everything is well kept. The reception food which was made by the hotel was exceptional, my steak was perfect and my hubby's fish had the best sauce I've ever had with a fish. If you are planning to have your wedding here I def recommend, all of us guests had an amazing time. Just be sure to tell your guests to stay at the hotel or drive there since they won't be able to find an Uber to leave town. This town is very very small and does not have any of the amenities you would find in a big city.

Beautiful place. Perfect for couples. Luxurious atmosphere all around. Quiet and serene.

We & our in-laws stayed in the Loft & Sleigh Room in the Barn. The reservation, check-in, and check-out process was very easy. It's great to have separate parking areas for the different houses so you can park right by where you're staying. It was very clean with extremely thoughtful amenities, such as complimentary bath salts to use in the jetted tub. We also went to the onsite Pub & the Smokehouse restaurant that boasted strong cocktails, amazing 6 course meal, and well balanced wine pairing. The complimentary breakfast was by far one of the best we have had at any hotel.

This is far and away my favorite restaurant! Sara has been our server a number of times and she is also the sommelier! What a treasure to have. This visit was equally enjoyable as our previous visits. I could name all the different foods we had, but each one was incredible! The best wine cellar on the East Coast! Having THE house wine expert guiding our wine selections made everything so great! If you haven't been to Antrim you MUST go! You may want to make sure you have some $$$$. But - You get what you pay for!! Good job to all the staff, the chef and especially Rhonda and Sara!

Great setting and superb service. Absolutely a great opportunity to impress whether you're staying on property or just here for dinner. This was to be our celebratory dinner for the end of the project but at the last minute, my project manager had to bail and I was here on my own. I arrived a little late - the 7:30 dinner seating means that you arrive at 7:00 for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. And what a set up here. I had a whiskey sour (okay) and a plate of nibbles for myself. Two lamb chops, two bacon-wrapped things, two cheese puffs and two sliced of beef carpaccio. Yum! And then the main dinner began, which was a six course meal with three choices and three set pieces. I had the grilled octopus (meh), the salad with goat cheese (very good), and the filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered (medium rare) but arrived at the table only warm. A disappointment but the grilled asparagus and dauphinoise potatoes were excellent. And what's a six course dinner without a four course dessert! The winner here was the lemon curd trifle that was simply excellent. Tart lemon with cream and crunchy lady fingers. Yum! A very good meal in a superior setting. Definitely one to impress.

I've stayed here twice for weddings and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions! The staff handled the most recent event (during covid) well and kept the guests feeling safe. Speaking of the staff, all of them were helpful and personable. The grounds are gorgeous and well-kept. Now for the room, oh the room. We stayed in the Smith House and oh boy was our room extravagant. That bathroom was unreal!! The room was clean and inviting, with everything working (including the jet tub, which I tested out after the wedding). My only complaint about the room was the bed, which has a feather topper and I was poked several times throughout the night. Most guests had trouble sleeping because of the beds (we all chatted in the morning). Breakfast in the morning was pretty basic (eggs, potatoes, bacon, bagels, and fruit), but it hit the spot after a late night. All of the food at the wedding itself was excellent, including the cocktail hour and after party nibbles. Antrim is a lovely getaway in the middle of Taneytown!

Everything was checked out online via Yelp, which was a nice confidence boost. I didn't want to make a mistake and end up with a nightmare stay. Next, the parking and the front desk entrance are at the rear of the building. It has a fascinating history. Throughout the hotel, there are historical paintings of Gettysburg. The restaurant that was part of the inn no longer serves breakfast, so we had to drive out for a bite. However, we planned to visit the battleground early in the morning, so this was no big issue. Also, please ignore folks who repeat what they've heard about ghosts at the Federal Pointe Inn. Besides, historians often write these people off as less reliable, and their accounts are open to individual interpretation. Like the game, you see on TV where folks sit in a circle, and a person would whisper something in the ear of another person, who would whisper it to the next and so forth, and it virtually had no resemblance to the original. Well, that sums up ghost stories. So, don't allow ghost stories to deter you from staying at the Federal Pointe Inn.

This B&B is located right in the heart of Harper's Ferry, giving walking access to stores, restaurants, and historic sights. I came across the same clip in a rail safety ad, which made me look up directions to Harpers Ferry from DC. The historic park/town is served by the very MARC trains that pass outside my DC window each afternoon. You can describe Harpers Ferry as *deceptively* close because it's a 90 minute train ride, with planes flying into Dulles close enough to make out the airline. Looking for hotels there, Stonehouse Bed & Breakfast was the first that came up, with great reviews. Chris was very helpful and responsive via text and email. I booked the Top Room, which was $170 for a night including taxes. The quaint B&B has three accessible floors, as the family naturally lives onsite. The first floor is the main entrance with the common/dining areas, and the patio overlooking Maryland Heights and the Potomac/Shenandoah Rivers. The second floor has more rooms, one with a full balcony. And the third floor is the Top Room, with windows overlooking each side of the vintage building. If you Google pictures of Harpers Ferry, Stonehouse is in nearly all of the shots, since the balconies are front and center of the skyline. The town itself is like a real life snow globe. But the B&B, the litany of museums, eateries and shoppes around it, as well as the train station directly across the street make it an overall ideal place to stay, be it for hiking, or for something else: A love of trains is what brought me to Stonehouse, so take note that rail traffic can be heavy in certain times of the day. But the light rumbles also helped put me to sleep in the already soft, cozy bed. A container of water was provided, and while glasses should have been cleaned of dust first, it was still a really nice touch. The room also had playing cards, ear plugs, plenty books and a whole lounge chair. Checkin was a simple set of instructions at the door with my name on it, with checkout simply being your absence at the appropriate time. In my case, I only booked an overnight stay, getting in at 8pm and leaving around 6:30am, with checkout/checkin being the traditional 11am/4pm. While I didn't stay for complementary breakfast, I did catch a stellar sunrise between the mountains, as well as nature footage from the neighboring park. All of that to say, I definitely look to return to Stonehouse B&B later this year.

There's parking along the Main Street, as well as lots of spots in the back of the building. You can enter from the main entrance of the hotel and take the elevator down or you can head down the steps in the back to enter. Doesn't matter which way, just get here. We were absolutely blown away by the quality, portions, flavor profiles, and service in this little gem. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by a super friendly bartender named Matt. He was very attentive, friendly and welcoming. He was always checking up on us and making sure that we were always good. Service was fabulous. There's a timeline of the history of this historic building on the back of the menu. We ordered two drinks. One was an apple cider margarita and the other was a strawberry gin fizz concoction that was amazing. Both of these drinks were delicious. If we weren't driving and staying in the actual hotel above this tavern, we would have tried several other ones on the menu. Lots of creative choices that looked to be tasty based on the mix of ingredients. For the food - the menu was enticing and extensive. Lots of creative things happening here. The app we decided on was the Parmesan crusted Brussels and boy did they not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. We opted for The French Dip with fries and some magical au jus and a Union Smash burger with fries for our meals. Both are highly recommended!!! The burger was served on this delicious cloud of brioche bun and stacked high with two patties (perfectly cooked), pickles, dijonaose, and cheese. The French Dip had the most magnificent crusty roll and tender meat. Then there are these amazing Parmesan parsley fries that are perfectly cooked and served hot! We could have eaten an entire plate of these. To go boxes were needed. Big portions. We couldn't fit dessert! The bill does come with some tasty Andes mints. Prices here are extremely reasonable! I can't stress enough about how absurd it is that this small town has such a hidden treasure of a place where the food is beyond amazing. This place is a full package. If you live anywhere within an hour or even two, come here!! You won't regret this decision. Scrumptious!!!!
