    chicken chimichanga

We were in Scottsbluff for my grandma's funeral and needed a place to eat. My wife found this place close so we stopped in. There is not very good signage out front and we nearly missed it. The inside is decorated pretty simple with some cool textured walls. We ordered at the register then found a table while they prepared the food and delivered it to our table. I ordered the 2 plate tamales and comes with rice and beans. I liked everything on the plate and nothing was left. My wife ordered the cheese enchilada and chile relleno and she liked hers a lot too. My sister and dad ordered the chimichanga and they loved theirs as well. my kids liked their bean burritos and rice and beans. The red salsa was realky spicy but good, the green salsa was also good and not nearly as spicy. Overall a good dining experience. At a whim my wife ordered the fruit taco. That was just ok. It came in a taco type salad bowl with canned fruit cocktail, whipped cream, and a drizzle of chocolate. I would not order that again.

A friend of mine has been suggesting this place for months. Was lucky enough to get to try some of their food from friend who placed a to go order. Taco was kinda small but packed with food. Meat was a bit stringy but good. Rice was also fine. The enchilada had a very wet sauce or red sauce kind of flavor. All in all okay so far. But would like to visit restaurant and try some of the more interesting items off the menu soon. *UPDATE* Tried the Carne Asada fries and they were amazing. Will be going again for those and other items on the menu.

Three words: carne asada fries. Holy smokes! Those babies are so so good. Takes me back to visiting friends in Southern California. Their mini tacos are also so good! Every time I stop in the food is always wonderful.

Excellent and authentic Mexican food. We had carne asada, tamales, carnitas tostada and beef tacos. Enjoyed it all, especially the cucumber/jalapeño pico on the tostada.

Pleasantly surprised to find this place. Coming from Denver, we definitely know where to find good Mexican food. And fortunately we found it here as well. My husband had the mini tacos & loved them. I had the torta de asada & loved it as well. The place is small and cozy, but definitely clean. Staff is nice & we got our food in a good amount of time. I'm sure this place will be a favorite for us. We'll definitely be coming back & recommending this place to our friends.

Their adobada tortas are my favorite in town. I love their horchata and their breakfast burritos are the size of my forearm!

It's spicy, but so stinking good! Every time we're in Western Nebraska we eat here and get a bag to go! (My photo is that which we brought home) So why four stars instead of five? The atmosphere. It's in a Quonset and there is really no atmosphere at all. It's a bar. And the bathrooms are a little sketchy. If atmosphere isn't a deal breaker, you'll want to try this place.

The employee who brought our food had been washing dishes. When our order was ready, he pulled his hands straight out of the dirty dishwater, didn't dry them or wash them first, and immediately picked up our plates to bring them to our table. That was very unsanitary and made us uncomfortable. On top of that, he didn't greet us when he dropped off the food, and after we thanked him, he didn't even acknowledge us or say "you're welcome." I also noticed the cooks in the kitchen preparing food without wearing gloves the entire time we were there. While gloves aren't always legally required if proper handwashing is followed, after seeing how our food was handled, it definitely didn't inspire confidence in the restaurant's hygiene practices. Unfortunately, because of the cleanliness concerns and poor customer service, I don't plan on returning Don't get me wrong the food was good but sure did lose my appetite after watching all this.

Would you be okay with that"? After flying to Colorado and then driving three hours to get to Nebraska, that didn't seem appealing. Well, everyone was hungry so we took it. The table was awful to sit at. I had to sit on the corner of the table and so did someone else in our party. Bean dip and chips were on the table. That bean dip was so good. The salsas were great as well. If you want more chips and bean dip, they do charge you for it. Just a heads up. I ordered the chicken tacos - not great. No flavor at all. The tacos were a nice size. But I really couldn't eat them unless I added a ton of salsa. My husband ordered the fish tacos and didn't eat his said "these are the plainest fish tacos I have ever eaten. I just can't make them taste good no matter what I do" People seem to love this place. The waitress was GREAT! She was so on top of us, had a great disposition and smile. She was the only blonde working the room. I can't remember her name. It was insanely loud in the back room. If I lived here, this would not be a destination for me.
