The margaritas were delicious and perfect for Cinco de Mayo! I wish our service was quicker, our server was dealing with the phone calls coming in. So I think it was just a one-off type of thing. But overall, the experience was good.

We happened to stop in on a very rainy night in early January 2022. Yelp rated this establishment…read moreas nearly 5 stars and I would like to make it a full five stars. This is a combination supermarket/Taqueria and it did not disappoint! we ordered about 15 carne asada tacos and two tamales and were delighted that they came with onions, roasted chilies, two types of salsa, lots of limes and radishes. We also had wonderful drinks from the big jugs on the counter: horchata , Tamarindo and papaya aguas frescas. While we were waiting for the food, I wandered the store and immediately made plans to go back for a larger shopping trip. Wonderful produce, freshly made conchas and other baked goods, a great cheese counter and so much more to explore. Perhaps the best compliment I can give is that when the food arrived home, there was utter silence during the meal as my teenage grandsons devoured it. Everyone agreed that we need a repeat visit..... make that several repeat visits!

They…read morewere incredibly dry, and the cheese inside hadn't even melted--it was basically just sitting there, doing its best. And no sauce on top? That was the final offense. A chile relleno without a good sauce is like a taco without seasoning... what are we doing here? I expected something flavorful, cheesy, and saucy, but instead I got two very dry peppers with cheese that apparently never received the assignment. Maybe it was an off night, but based on this dish alone, I wouldn't order it again

I am just not sure how to rate Casa Lola…read more.. My wife called at 10 to ask if they were open yesterday, (Sunday) as they were scheduled to serve brunch. She was told they open at noon?? Yet their website states the following: Sunday: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM I do see they have 4 stars overall. I gave it 5 stars a year and a half ago. It definitely doesn't warrant 5 stars. The scheduled hours in the front window area is missing half of the numbers. The threshold is filthy. The knife in my roll-up had something crusted on it. And we were told very nicely, by our server Johana, that she hoped the Chef would come back, as he had left earlier. Whew...he came in after we were there about 10 minutes. We arrived at 4:00. And the last irritant...the music sound level. I wanted to ask Johana to turn it down, but just put it off. We were told at 10:00 Casa Lola becomes a night club...fine, but at 4:00 on a Sunday. Johana was terrific and the food was good. My Al Pastor Tacos were okay. Not great, but not bad. Black beans and rice accompanied all of the dishes and they also were good...not great. My wife, being a vegetarian, had the Enchilada's stuffed with carrots and potatoes. She loved the sauce, even though it had queso fresco on top, as she had requested none be served. Again, Service 5 stars, Food 4 stars, Misc. 0 stars It will be interesting to see if the restaurant is open one year from now.

The young lady who took my order was very patient and friendly. I decided on a mix of corn tortilla tacos and crunchy tacos. Grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, radish, lime, fresh onions, cilantro, fresh chips with guacamole and nopales and 5 kinds of salsa were all provided without requesting. All of the salsas are unique, fresh and tasty! The tortillas are fresh but did fall apart a little bit. All the meats were tasty and unique.
