Spent a few weeks in Brazil and made a commitment to explore the best restaurants the towns or cities we visited had to offer. Of the many restaurants we sampled in our two week vacation that took us to 4 cities, Antiquarius was the finest of the bunch.
Alcohol: we sampled several caiperinhas. This is a Brazilian drink made with the alcohol base of cochasa (made from sugarcane). We tried caipirinhas at just about every restaurant we visited. The lychee caipirinhas here were unbelievable and in a league of their own. My girlfriend normally has a few sips of anything I get. After trying this, she had three of her own.
I had the crusted white fish. She had some sort of seafood medley. Huge portions, and a week later,
we are still arguing over which one was better.
Had the privilege of meeting the owner Carlos. A prince of a man.
I loved Rio, but am left thinking more about the food I experienced than I am anything else.
