What an eclectic ambiance with modern American pop hits with tourist prices, located on a central street bordering Copacabana beach, closer to one of the mountains (so pretty!) Great and attentive service with constant plate clearing and switching, even grabbing shells directly from your plate which I've never experienced before. $66 pp for todays AYCE Brazilian BBQ/Seafood style. Seafood/salad bar that's included is pretty tasty and it varies from traditional brazilian dishes/stews, to various salads (avocado was my fave), ceviche, kampachi, sauces, and even sushi and oysters. Of the BBQ options, the wild boar ribs surprisingly blew me away with just the right amount of seasoning and tenderness. Overall, I think the tenderness and juiciness of EVERYTHING even the pork shoulder and octopus (made my dad wonder if it was even cooked completely which it was) was on point. If anything I liked the prime rib or the cheese oyster (way too much cheese) the least. Lobster was on the saltier side, though you can taste a tinge of saltiness on most meats tho that didnt bother me. Prices are definitely on the higher end relative to elsewhere in Rio, but still an enjoyable and unique experience (even the bathroom was an experience LOL). Would I come back? Everything was great but prob only if it's for an occasion

Marius Degustare @mariusdegustare ... featured in the book "1000 Places To See Before You Die" was AMAZING!!!! We didn't plan a reservation and went to dinner early one night in Rio to test our luck...and we got a table pretty quickly! One of the craziest buffet spreads you will ever see in your life, the options include anything from traditional Brazilian dishes to oysters and sushi. There is no set menu, and the servers come around to your table with different cuts of steak and seafood. The ambiance was fantastic and the restaurant itself is soooo beautiful. Pricey, but definitely worth it on your next trip to Rio, Brazil.

Salt! An overabundance of salt on the food, and forgettable service earns this over hyped restaurant it's glorious 1 star. The location is excellent, it runs parallel with Copacabana just steps away from the beach. However once you enter the establishment, it's very confused and busy. A lot of greenery and colors with these antique looking moldings, but upstairs is this modern stone finish like a NYC Brownstone. I've been to Rio and I know what a color beautiful place it is and can be, but the interior needs some direction. The premise here is Brazilian steakhouse with buffet style (Golden Corral) sides for you to self sever, while slabs of seafood and meat come to you around the clock. The continuous serving of protein selections from steak, to lobster, and even clams comes across mundane to the servers and you can feel it in their delivery and energy. They rather be somewhere else or rather the food was just on a bar (Golden Corral style). The few items you can retrieve for yourself, are sides like rice and beans, oxtails and a traditional Brazilian dish. So far we have a terribly laid out dining room, lethargic servers and incredibly salty food. The levels of salt in the meat which is supposed to be the standout, for 70.00 USD per person....all taste the same. The salt is so dominant that I couldn't distinguish a fliet mignon from lobster tail outside of texture. Pro tip: Save your money, no really if you are a visitor to Rio your money goes a lonnnng way, and 70.00 USD can be spent in much better places. Personal recommendation: Nusa Cafe they have a balanced menu, and their food has layers to it's flavor.

Honestly, although the food is tasty, is it not worth $120 bill. This place is a tourist trap. Is the service good? Yes The ambiance is...different. There are endless themes and designs rolled into one, which is overwhelming. But again, Rio has so many amazing food spots at affordable prices, no one should had to waste this much money on a meal and drink.

Absolutely incredible! The food was wonderful and the service was even better. The seafood was to die for. I suggest the shrimp and sea bass! I also suggest behave Caprarinha... they were fantastic. And the pistachio creme brulee!

    Cheers!!

If I could give more stars I would!!!! MUST GO PLACE!!!! Not only is the interior amazing the food and staff were too. Hands down this is the most unique restaurant I have ever been to. There is anything and everything hanging from the ceiling. It's hard to take it all in. Make sure you stop by the bathrooms, another unique experience. It is a typical Brazilian steakhouse that comes around with seafood and all the steak, chicken and pork. So many options. They also have an extensive salad bar and hot food bar. Again, Sooooo many options. The staff is amazing, so friendly and accommodating.

This place is so unique and worth the money. The staff doesn't even allow you to look like you need something. They are on it. The place is set up like a Buffett but they still bring around unlimited meat, seafood and steak. It's about 300 Reais per person but you won't regret it. The food is delicious and the decor is unbelievable. I don't eat meat so I stuck to the broccoli rice, polentas, grilled bananas, corn, black beans. All great. We paired our food with a nice red wine. This is worth a fancy night out in rio.

We're in Brazil.. should we try FDC to see if there's a difference? I spent about 10 minutes comparing photos, reviews and menu and decided to opt for this place. For one, it's within walking distance from our hotel (Hilton Copacabana ). Secondly, the dessert bar is included at Marius. We came on a Wednesday night just before 8pm, no reservations. Within an hour the place got busier (yep, it's typical to have vey late dinner in Brazil, apparently). I love the fact that most of the waiters spoke/understood English bedside our Portuguese speaking skills are non existent, except for "obrigada" They had a variety of selections in the salad bar and hot food items in the buffet. Shrimp with puréed cassava cooked in coconut was glorious! I refused the fish and chicken but I did get a serving of this massive shrimp. Ask for picanha. This literally melts in your mouth!

The first thing you notice is the crazy awesome decor! Things are hanging everywhere, including an upside-down grandfather clock and a suit of armor. Service was wonderfull! The staff was accommodating and check up on us frequently. It's a buffet style with servers that bring hot seafood/cuts of meat. The food was delicious! For desert we had strawberry cheese cake with fresh local fruit. Definitely would recommend! Thank you for a delicious meal and a wonderful time!!

The place is pretty spacious and have a lot of sitting in a balcony style at the outer bother of the restaurant that they provide stools at the side walk. The place is very busy at night so some wait should be expected but we came at a Sunday night and it was just a 5 to 10 minutes wait nothing too crazy. Once we sat down the same old, not enough menus for the people on the table story. they gave all 3 of us 1 menu and the waiter came super fast to get drink orders.... I Never been here so I did not know what to order and just with one menu was extremely hard to get the orders so we asked him to come back in a bit and bring us more menus. He did the menus but once we were ready it took a long while to have him actually take the orders, as a matter of fact we just asked someone else for our food, but the guy was a buster lol so he had to cll the waiter who came a long time later and that when we realized that we still had not had our orders in the system yet, a mess really. Finally we got our drink orders in and we wee happy. I was planing on getting an adult beverage but it all took so long and the place has no A/C so I got super warm and decided to get a water instead, so here is a prime example that bad service caused me to spend less as a result and the worse was that is was just cause I was too hot and didn't have a proper menu count and a waiter portly taking orders to expedite the drinks. Here the Brazilian people make a salary and the service is automatically charged on the bill, here in this country is notoriously know for BAD SERVICE as regardless of the quality of service they will make the same amount of money so the wait staff could not care less. A interesting thing and very smart that I noticed here was the fact that they have some waiters walking around with trays of shots, or trays of small appetizers, they go from table to table to up- sell the items, this was genius cause if I am not intentionally looking for an appetizer and now it is so close and accessible I will probably get one, and that Is exactly what happened to us. I ordered a couple of appetizers, these people are geniuses. EMPADA DE CARNE SECA COM CATUPIRY- to me this was a disaster, it was super salty and incredibly odd, I based on this little appetizer would never eat carne sea again. BOLINHO DE CAMARAO COM CATUPIRY- this one was much better than the fist one I mentioned but still I was not very happy with the flavor. it did taste like the eat of the city had taken a toll on the flavor of this appetizer. LARGE PIZZA AMATRICIANA- we got the large, but if you are like me from America I must tell you that the large here is not the same as a large out there in the US. this large was finished by 3 people and with very little effort. however I must say that again this pizza just as the appetizers was a disappointment to me, the only positive I can say here on this pizza is the fact that I loved the oregano taste in it. this was a thin crust pizza with bacon in cubes, the cubes were too cooked and they felt almost like rubber, they supposedly had onions added to the pizza, I could not find not one onion on this pizza, this pizza was blend very blend. Over all in my opinion, I am not sure why this place is so busy. the service is nothing special, there is no wifi, they do not know how to count to give a proper amount of menus. the place has no A/C and the food is at best mediocre. I will not be back.

If you like a little spice with some of your food, be sure to discard the tobasco sauce and ask for the molho pimenta especial. Be sparing with how much you use, it can get pretty ridiculous. I was alone and quite hungry. I had no idea what to order so I order feijoada even though the menu said it was for 2 persons. I have no regrets! It was the BEST feijoada I had!!! Every piece of the dish was FRESH, HOT, and very flavorful. The pork and beef was cooked just right. Not too salty or overcooked. The male waiter couldn't speak English but he was so kind to help set my plate even though I knew how to eat it. Everywhere else I had feijoada or rice and beans with beef and farofa was gross in comparison. The restaurant I first had feijoada, the meat (pork/beef) was ultra salty and overcooked. The meal just tasted ok. I ate about 3 rounds and packed the rest as take-away. I like that the waiter packed each pot into a separate box. They did charge for the bigger boxes (2). I ended up splitting the leftover into 2 meals. Therefore I feel the dish would be a lot of 2 people, if they are not big eaters. I think 3 people is just right. I will definitely come back here for just feijoada.
