Since 1963, Antillean offers maritime transport, trucking, warehousing, cargo consolidation, break-bulk and charters to Rio Haina and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic; and Cap-Haitien and Port-Au-Prince in Haiti twice weekly. It has designed a transportation system that assures uninterrupted service to all the ports it serves.

In 1960, the Babun brothers-- Jose, Teofilo, and Abraham--fled Cuba's communism and settled with their families in Miami leaving their successful lumber and cement businesses behind them, three years later, equipped with a single break-bulk ship the Babuns launched a liner service on the Miami River. Today, After decades of dedicated and intense work, Antillean Marine Shipping Corporation is the largest shipping line operating out of the Miami River. With facilities and operations in three countries, we pride ourselves with offering a one-of-a-kind personalized service to our customers. In addition to making a difference for our customers, throughout the years, Antillean has been influential in shaping public policy for the improvement of the Miami River to the satisfaction of businesses and residents alike. Meet the Business Owner: Sara B.
Sara is eldest daughter of Jose Babun-Selman, the youngest of the founding brothers. Sara began her journey at Antillean when she was just a teenager as an assistant traffic coordinator for Haiti. Throughout the years, she has worked in virtually every department of the company, which provided her with vast amounts of hands-on experience. In 1993, after her aunt Adela Babun stepped down as president of the company, Sara was appointed President and CEO and has been leading the company ever since.
