Antigoni's has been my go-to pizza place for a long time and I've always had good service and great food. Known for their amazing, thin crust pizza, they also offer sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes. I've never had a bad meal there. If you're looking for a place to start, the Greek pizza is nothing short of amazing and the fries are really tasty. Prices are reasonable. Because everything is made to order, it's not particularly fast, so we tend to order ahead, even if we're eating in. Note: for several years, this restaurant was under different ownership ( with the same name) and food, service and hours of operation all suffered. Rest assured, things are excellent now! read more

We really enjoyed our food. Wife had the greek pizza and I had the spaghetti & meatballs. Both were delicious and the meatballs were especially tasty and large. Obviously handmade. The person behind the counter was top notch, she typically works the Lewiston store. Watching her cook, clean, go to the register, go back work on more food was amazing; anyone who owned a restaurant would want at least 10 of her on staff. There was a guy there that seemed to do almost nothing but eat but I wasn't there for the entire day so maybe he picked up slack after I left. They have gluten free pizza which is awesome, it tasted fine with all the spicy things I plopped on there. Price is good for what it is and there is a large menu selection. Antigoni's has a HUGE selection of pizzas, salads, and subs -- there's really, truly something for any taste. We ordered the Greek pizza, which was one of the best I have ever had anywhere! Our family also enjoyed an order of their onion rings as a starter. There is a good selection of local beers on tap, which is a nice bonus! Take-out is VERY popular in the summer, probably because so many people in the area being "upta camp." :) Eating inside is pleasant too, although I wish they had one more table for larger groups (more than four people). Went on a Wednesday night at 8:00pm EST. I called ahead to order 1 large pizza and bread sticks. When I arrived 30 minutes later they told me that "it would be another 10 minutes" and that they hadn't even put the pizza in the oven yet. We sat down, had a drink and waited. By the time that the pizza had come out it had been 50 minutes from the time that we ordered. I asked for extra marina sauce and they asked me if I had two quarters. I went out to my car to get change and they told me that they had actually run out. To charge me for extra sauce after making me wait 50 minutes for 1 pizza was confusing to me. The pizza and breadsticks were great. However, the overall experience could have been better. I'm born and raised in Turner and have been here several times. This is the worst pizza i have ever had. I went to the Turner Antigonis to get a taco pizza that i have gotten there years back( when the real cooks owned it) and loved it. So i orderd it. OMG it was so nasty, didnt even have more then ten items on it and no lettues or chips on top. I should have looked at it before leaving. But looking at the dirty lady in the back she would have spit on it if i sent it back. Didnt look till half way home. :( So weeks later i went to the Lewistin one. OMG what a differance. I had asked the lady who was taking my order if they were with the Turner location. She said no. I told her good because that place is nasty and you shouldnt let them use your name anymore. We have gone to antigoni's several times and purchased their pizzas. The crust is the best that I have ever had and I like the fact that there's not too much sauce and quite a bit of cheese. The thing is when you order say a Hamburg Pizza you get approximately 12 little chunks of Hamburg. It is strategically placed so that you get it on one slice of pizza approximately two little pieces of burger. For the price you pay for pizza with at least the meat like pepperoni and Hamburg it is certainly not worth the price. read more

I have been going to Antigoni's, in Turner, for 9 years, at least a couple of times a month. It is an easy and convenient location to grab a pizza, and I think their pizza is very good. The service has fluctuated up and down, over the years, but has become absolutely intolerable. I went to eat the evening of June 10, 2018, along with 7 other people. We had just been to my daughter's graduation and just came to relax and have good pizza and beer. We did 3 different orders. They were extremely busy, however the person working up front never even acknowledged us waiting at the counter to place our orders for exactly 12 minutes. Finally, he took my order, which was for a pizza, 2 beers, a soda, and mozzarella sticks. The guy rang us up, we paid, and sat down with our two beers. Our next order was for a pizza, a glass of wine, and a beer. The worker poured the wine, but not the beer, and this part of our group sat down. The last of our group to order, waited another 10 minutes before being acknowledged. They ordered 1 pizza, 1 beer, and 2 waters. This beer also was not poured and they sat down. About another 10 minutes goes by and the 2nd and 3rd orders still do not have their beers, so I proceed to go up to the counter and ask for them. The guy who was working was extremely rude and told that "beer comes last" and that they have "19 orders to get out" and our beers will come "once they are done with food orders". Really, they ALWAYS pour the beer as soon as an order is taken so that customers can enjoy this while waiting for their food. On what planet does a restaurant fill every food order, before they will pour any drinks? So, we wait. After another 10 minutes, another person in our party goes up to request the beers for the last 2 orders, and they are rudely told the same thing (I mean REALLY RUDELY). At this point, I am getting upset at the treatment we are getting. Oh, let me mention that the tap beer is directly behind the ordering counter, so the guy literally just has to pivot to pour any beer. So, I go back up once again and ask for my beers. This time the man says "I don't remember you ordering any beers" and basically tells us we didn't and that they will not be coming at all. Of course, none of us were given receipts, so had no proof. I asked for the manager/owner (Sharon). Now, Sharon sees me in Antigoni's all of the time, so knows my family and I are "regulars". She first states that beers can't be poured until "all the food is out". Then, the guy taking the orders tells her we did not order beer. Sharon then basically tells us to pound sand (she used many swear words) and that we would not be getting our beers because "people are always coming in and ripping her off, saying that they ordered beers when they did not". In front of everyone, she is YELLING and pretty much accusing us of trying to get 2 free beers. First of all, we are regulars. Second, we always order beers with our meal. How dare she accuse me in front of my kids, grandsons, and other family members of trying to steal from her? One of my grandsons, who is 8 years old, started crying as she was yelling at me. It was absolutely unreal. We wanted to leave, but we had already spent close to $100 for food and drinks, and were not about to leave without them. We got our pizzas and still no beers. One of my daughters went up and politely asked for them again and was told "no". One of the workers finally, at one point, took pity on us and sneaked the beers out to us. We gave this person a large tip. Then, as we are eating, Sharon starts arguing with another customer who is picking up a takeout order. Again, their are swear words exchanged. This customer was pissed off and told Sharon "how dare she treat customers in that way" and that she was an "f....ing b". Then the customer balled up her receipt and threw it at Sharon. We shouldn't have, but we all clapped! Anyway, not sure what was up, but that night was appalling, and I have no understanding of how an owner can run a business that way. She has always been somewhat "gruff" with customers, but with people like that, I generally go out of my way to "kill them with kindness" and eventually, in the past, I could get her to break a smile. Customers tend to go back, as it is a small town with 1 pizza place...Antigoni's. But, I know a lot of customers who don't just dislike her, but hate her, and her employees do as well. read more

Went to grab some pizza Saturday night. My oldest son was home for the weekend and wanted Antigoni's Pizza. When we arrived the cashier rang my son up first. He ran his credit card then ran out of paper after replacing the paper he asked my son for his credit card again. My son checked his mobile app at Bank of America and saw the charge had already gone thru. He mentioned this to the cashier and this was overheard by the owner who stormed over and said to my son and the cashier "just because it shows up on his statement doesn't mean it's gone thru" she was extremely rude and dismissive. In the mean time the 20 min we were told has now turned into 40 min and pizzas were getting cold. This is not the first time I've had a run in with this problem at the pizza joint. Use to go to Antigoni's Pizza once a month. It had been 7 months and I thought I would try it again. My bad. I would urge everyone to pass by this so called pizza place and keep going for 7.5 miles to George's pizza in auburn. read more

We're not impressed, and will not be going back. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs (pasta was over cooked, sauce was gross and runny, and the meatballs were mushy and bland), and lasagna (pasta was also over cooked, and the sauce was like water). We weren't aware that we had to go up to the counter to order, so we sat there for roughly 10 minutes. I LOVE the LEWISTON Antigoni's. Cobb salad is my favorite, with balsamic vinegarette. I had heard many people say that the TURNER Antigoni's is horrible but I like to be my own judge since I know that some people have at times bias. I was in the Turner area yesterday and decided to try it out. I ordered my USUAL Cobb Salad and was EXTREMELY disappointed with what I received. Same container as Lewiston, same ingredients but CLEARLY an imposter. The ingredients that I found in my TURNER Cobb salad was not what I have be use to in my LEWISTON Cobb salad. Quality of everything was horrible to say the least. I am glad I tried it. Sorry for the results I got. This is the LAST time I will ever go to the TURNER Antigoni's location. It doesn't even deserve the name Antigoni's. Truth be told, NOT a restaurant I would EVER refer someone to. Well worth the short travel distance to the LEWISTON location.
