I went to this farm to buy a saddlebred gelding and really liked him. He was green, and 4 yrs old, but I didn't care, and wanted to buy him and work with him anyway. But the lady who owns him is separated from her husband, and he lives there in another house on the same property. Since he was a registered horse, I asked for papers several times during the following week. She couldn't find them, couldn't get them out of a "bank vault". Her dog bit me, on one occasion, don't go in her house! Since I loved the horse, I tried to be patient. But finally realized she was never going to come up with his papers. So I gave up. She seemed confused. Not sure what's going on but decided to stay clear. Her horses all look healthy and well fed, but I didn't want to get into the middle of a community property dispute. I hope the horses don't end up at an auction somewhere! read more
