I'd only heard about Anthropogie online and hadn't been to a store before, so when I saw there was one nearby, I had to stop in. There is so much to look at, from clothes, shoes and purses to furniture, pillows and mirrors. I really loved a lot of they styles they had too. Some of it was very bohemian, which is right up my alley. When I looked into the story behind Anthropologie, I found the creator (Dick Haynes) had women who were creative, affluent, and educated in mind when creating items. He also had the age range of 30-45 in mind, which I am close to, so I guess I fit right into who he was trying to create for. I really loved their plus sized dressed, but I will need to save up a bit for those as most of the ones I liked were about $200. Even if it's not cheap, it's nice to have another option for plus sized items that I could use for a night out. So if you haven't checked out Anthropologie, I'd recommend it. read more

Anthro has a specific purpose - showcasing individuality. It's purpose is not a basic black shirt or caring for the environment. The black shirt. You won't find one here. You will find an emerald green velvet dress with leopard print sleeves - YES! It will look beautiful and it will probably be expensive. Now this unique dress you found will probably be made of polyester or some other man made fabric. It will be low quality. It won't wash well. It will make you hot and sweaty when you wear it. It will have harmed the environment in the making of it and will sit in a landfill slowly rotting and wasting space. The store is fun to browse. It's colorful and full of powerful smells. It's like walking through a souk in Marrakech. Occasionally you will find a cool kitchen tool or birthday card but truly nothing useful other than hair scrunchies, claw clips and lip balm. Service... what service? I've been shopping here since 2014 and have never been asked if I need help. You will see staff behind the register, in the dressing room area or about the store stocking items or decorating. Not one will look up at you. Seriously... if they are helping you it's super quick (a plus) but there will be no friendly banter. The best thing about this store is the holiday window display. Last year it was a miniature Sailor and Soldiers Monument with the Christmas lights strung on it. Very cool. Glad the profits from the emerald dress went to that... my kid loved looking at the window. This year the display includes odd looking penguins. Cute clothes, even cuter home decor. I like that their clothing is appropriate for a large age group. My twenty something daughter and I can both find things to wear in Anthropologie. They stock good basic jeans, shorts, skirts and super fun, trendy dresses and tops. There are always home items; coffee mugs, candles, linens, bedding that we want to take home with us. And again, the appeal is to a large age span. My mother in law also thinks the store has pretty things for her. Between 80 and 24 is a good size span, it's a great go to especially for gifts for ladies. read more

Beautiful clothing but super expensive. Smells amazing too! Felt like a novice in there. Thought I would go in to get an evening dress and couldn't really find anything "normal" at the time (dress wise) they had super cute pants and sweaters and shirts though. read more

I love Anthropologie at the Fashion Mall. Though this store isn't as large as the one in Chicago, it is still so much fun shopping here. Even if you aren't on the hunt for anything, Anthropologie is a delight to wander through....more often than not, I find something I didn't know I needed :-) This store is known for its fun, funky fashion including absolutely great chunky cropped-style sweaters and jackets - they have an Audrey Hepburn-ish silhouette but are usually crafted from brightly-colored yarns or "distressed" heavy cottons and linens. Cute cardigans, tees and loungewear also abound here. But, be sure to look beyond the clothing to the display tables with little odds and ends for home decor and gift-giving. Anthropologie always has some interesting and whimsical accessories, especially their jewelry, and the candles here are unique. Goods here do tend to be on the pricey side so it pays to make a stop at the sale room - it's usually crammed full of mark-downs. Case in point: on my most recent visit, I found a nice stash of cute little lip glosses, beautifully wrapped soaps and even and eyeshadow compact.....all priced at $3.95 each (originally $10-$15).....I snatched up a few to put back as stocking stuffers for friends and family this year. read more

Bowls (I got 4 just in case I broke one or two I LOVE their bowls), plates, books, one of our favorite lamp shades (on $ale) & they have a $ales room!! If you're looking for that piece of clothing that will make total strangers stop and give you compliments, look no farther than Anthropologie. This particular store has quite a bit of clothing to offer given that a 1/4 of their square footage is usually dedicated to products for the home. I've always found store personnel to be friendly and helpful, even willing to go to the Anthro website to order products that aren't available in-store. (Note: not as many in-store products as the Schaumburg location, but there are many options for ordering from their website, including having items sent to your home or requesting in-store delivery so it's easy to return if it's not your cup of tea!) Another reviewer mentioned the prices. Yes, the clothing is on the higher end of retailer shopping in Indianapolis, but the uniqueness and style are worth it. I've also found the construction of their clothing to be much more durable than Free People. If you're a newcomer to Anthro, you can build up your wardrobe slowly with only a few purchases at a time. There's also a permanent mark-down section in the back of the store; items are usually near the end of the current season, but if you choose carefully you can still get some great use out of them, while enjoying large savings. My only reservation is that like the Free People store which is also in the Fashion Mall, they tend to sell out on larger sizes quickly. (Seems like their buyers would've figured this out by now and make adjustments.) The good news is that some of the tops and dresses have so much fabric that sizing down is an option; not the same story when it comes to jeans and pants, however. Just moved to Indianapolis 2 months ago so I am more than familiar with with chain. This store is a disaster Has anyone from Corporate been here lately to see how poorly the inventory is visually merchandised? Granted, I am older than the targeted demographic , but I do buy, PJ's , home goods, sweaters, gifts etc.... Shopping thru Keystone, I was so happy to see the store, once in it, I was like , Are You Kidding??? I had pulled a cute sweater for my niece but couldn't find the balance of inventory or anything to go with it. When an associate showed me how they had it displayed, and with what I wanted to throw up .... What a way to ruin a look!!! Needless to say I didn't buy anything read more

I am currently standing in line at the cash wrap. one of the personnel is chatting away with her buddy and not grabbing a register and checking people out. So far 10 minutes waiting at cash wrap. One of the best Anthropologie stores in existence! They just opened in October '07. The visual team does an amazing job of making the store look absolutely fresh and creative. The look of the store changes almost daily! You will always feel so welcome here and if you need any help or ideas for outfits/gifts you can pretty much just ask any associate and they will never steer you wrong. They bend over backward for the customer here and the return policy is super great. Definitely check out every nook and crannie because this is a store to be explored. The dresses are my favorite! Tip: All of the associates are wonderful but if you need that extra help, ask for INA. She is fabulous and can put together great pieces of clothing that you'd never think of pairing together! read more

I have tried to like Anthropologie but I am just not a fan. (So then, why the 4 stars which in yelp world means "Yay! I'm a fan.") Well, that is because I can get gifts from here for friends that adore this store and walk out happy. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. I do like how the store is arranged and it is very spacious. My only complaint is the faux gravel upon entry of the store. It's ruins my shoes! read more

This was by far the best Anthropologie I have been to yet! Not only is the layout nice and spacious, the guest service is fantastic. I called ahead to ask if they had something in stock, and the woman working was so kind, patient and helpful. When I went into the store to pick it up, the employees were very helpful, without being pushy salespeople. It was such a pleasant experience, and I highly recommend checking this store out! read more

great place if you like to buy ridiculously overpriced mass produced clothes, this store is basically just free people with a different name & a new tag sewn on, most if not all of their clothes can be easily found for 90% cheaper prices at some of the other boutique stores in the mall, i wouldnt suggest it unless you have a lot of money & just want to throw it at clothes because it has a brand name on the tag read more
