Service was also really good. Very attentive. Our waitress was always asking what we needed and how everything was. I wish I could remember her name because she was really good and would love to shout her out. Additionally, It's awesome that you have gluten free crust options. Today Anthony's coal fired pizza provided one to the best pizzas ever and a delicious salad. After having a couple of not so good visits, I was invited back to enjoy a meal that should be expected every time. I am a HUGE fan of Anthony's pizza. Some of the best pizza in Miami. (This location is in Doral). Tonight we ordered a cheese pizza and a Italian salad. First the salad: FRESH, and cold ingredients. Excellent crunch and delicious dressing. Followed up with our pizza that although it had to be remade, it was absolutely perfect. The dough was cooked to perfection. The combination of the cheese and the sauce was amazing. One of the best pizzas that I have come to love and often frequent the location. When something is right, and it satisfies a craving, you keep going back. Tonight I give 5 stars. Yes, again, the first pizza was over cooked, but they made it right. Although it took extra time, it came out amazing! Consistency is key. I am hopeful that our next visit everything will be just as good. If it's anything like the salad and pizza we got tonight and it's duplicated, we will keep coming back. The location has adequate seating. It can get busy as it was tonight, but we sit relatively quickly. The servers were very kind and wanted to make sure our experience was great. A new spot (for me) for pizza in Doral! I like Anthony's coal fire pizza but this little Doral restaurant was awesome because of the quick and friendly service and the neat trendy atmosphere! There is more parking on the side!! It's a narrow parking place but I think the convenience of parking next to the restaurant was very important to me. Anthony's has this thin crust slightly charred pizza crust that I like... and now I found out about these garlic romano chicken wings!! Wow! That's one mouthful of flavor! Sunday dinners with my daughter means checking out new places to dine at. We had seen this location for quite sometime but never ventured to it until now. Location -- Ample, airy, clean and visually pleasant. Staff -- Meets all your expectations. High energy, professional, friendly and eager to meet their customers' expectations. Kudos to Madison and Briana. These ladies are outright professional and make you feel right at home and ready to have a great meal. Henry, one the managers, is also incredibly professional, a people-person, and very proud of the brand that he has helped create and make successful. Food -- *The huge and flavorful meatballs are a meal all to themselves and worth every savory bite. *The Garlic knots are perfectly balanced between garlic and oil and a perfectly baked dough. *The Chicken wings are smokey, delicious, tender and very plump. Downfall -- Both times I have tried them, they've been on the "too cold" side. *Pizza - only have tried the Carnivore which has all sorts of great meats - meatballs, sausage, pepperoni and bacon. Yes, it sounds busy but it's a delicious type of edible busy. Both times I have ordered this pizza, the dough has been perfectly coaled fired and crispy which has given this pizza a smokey and delicious taste to its last bite. BUT -- The third time I tried it... the crust was more on the dewy side and the whole pizza tasted like a pan pizza from a regular pizza place. Pros -- *There are 2x1 wines and beers Monday - Thursday *Earn dining points that can go towards $$ off on the next visit. Cons -- Unfortunately, even though I like the place, the food is not consistently prepared. The staff tries to make up for it but there shouldn't be a need for it. Limited menu. They are always running around and they're not very well organized, you can feel the stress in the air. The pizza came out with barely any sauce. It was so dry and they always forget my ranch sauce. Pros: Quality ingredients, delivered hot, amazing dough. Their garlic rolls are my weakness, they are soft and savory with the right along of fresh minced garlic! I always order the small salad, which is enough for two meals. It's always fresh and the dressing comes on the side so it's not wilted by the time you get it. Cons: they should add more egg, onions, and tomato to the salad, it's very little toppings for the price. To start off, i wish i could give this place a 5 star. The people were very nice and the service was attentive. That being said, a review is about food and service so, i can't give it higher than a 3. The food was not great to be honest. The garlic knots were cold and the pizza needs work. Pizza had great crisp and the dough was good however, i couldn't taste the cheese or sauce and for a 12inch pizza at $16 , i should be getting high quality for what i'm paying for. The pepperoni was overpowering because the cheese & sauce that was on the pizza was barely there and its a shame because, the presentation was great. The place had nice interior in a good loction with nice staff but, the food just wasn't up to par. Maybe it was just a bad day. I remember about a decade ago when Anthony's first opened in South Florida (originally I was always at the Kendall location), it was so nice that it was common to go an Anthony's for a date night or a birthday celebration. Now, Anthony's is basically a takeout dump because the dining experience is so terrible. And even then, it's concerning to order take out from here because cleanliness is one of the problems. From the moment we walked in at the Doral location yesterday the floors were filthy, and the table where they sat us still had crumbs on the table and seats and big chunks of food under the table. I also hadn't seen such disheveled servers in a while. Everyone we encountered, from the woman who sat us to our server, was wearing black but their clothes were visibly dirty with a significant amount of food stains on them, which is SO unappealing. Let me make it clear - THE WAY THE SERVER PRESENTS THEMSELVES MAKES A DIFFERENCE. If their clothes are dirty, if they look disheveled, it is a huge red flag that the restaurant is a dump. The staff all looked like they didn't care, including another woman I saw wiping clean utensils in the back while texting. So she's wiping utensils, grabbing her dirty phone, and continuing to wipe clean utensils. Gross. You can only imagine what the bathrooms looked like. My son loves the pizza here, so to please him we stayed yesterday and he happily ate his pizza. What's even more frustrating is that the food is still great but I ate it with such hesitation from how nasty the restaurant was. Therefore, I'm going to research a new pizza place because it is clear that management at this place is nonexistent and the Anthony's of today is no better than a fast food joint. Good brick oven pizza. Slow service. I enjoyed the square meat lovers. Lots of great ingredients. I love the thin crust. Crunchy too as you'd expect from brick oven. It was a lot of pizza. Ordered a large traditional pizza last night with pepperoni and sausage, as well as 10 wings, for $38. They made it within 20 minutes. The female staff there was very nice. The place is a dark open concept, with a small bar, but a good amount of table seating. The traditional pizza we had contained a thin crust. There wasn't that much mozzarella cheese on top, and a lot of it near the edge of the crust was overcooked, becoming hard, so most of the top quarter of the pizza was pretty empty, and dry (see picture). They need to do a much better job with how they place toppings on their pizzas. The wings were a good size, and had a smoked taste to them, but they covered them in burnt caramelized onions, which pretty much ruined it for us. Not sure why they do that; I rather have my wings served alone and kept crispy. The two pieces of focaccia bread that came with it were dry and tasteless. read more

Came to Anthony's Coal Fired the other night while craving some pizza. I've been a customer of Anthony's for many years which has now turned into a growing chain that started in Ft. Lauderdale. This polished casual dining restaurant still makes some of my favorite pizza and wings. I used to order their Frittata Pizza back then when it was still on their menu. It had eggs baked into the cheese on top but this item is long gone. That's how far we go back. This time, we ordered a large Traditional Pie (16") with only mushrooms as a topping. Toppings are pricey here at $2.99 each. On this night, the pizza was even better than usual. Not one bit of it was too soft or soggy and the texture was amazing with a light crispness to it. It's the best one I've had in recent memory at Anthony's Coal Fired. The wings here are a must. We ordered 5 Wings which were oven roasted and topped with caramelized onions and a side of focaccia bread. They were roasted to perfection as always. Both items were on point. We've tried other items here like the calzone and some others, but we usually come here for the pizza and wings. Although the food was superb, the tradeoff was the service which seemed a little more lackluster than usual. The servers were nice but were mostly absent. They were more distracted with each other as if they are friends. No major complaints though on this visit. Anthony's Coal Fired does have a Happy Hour special on beers that ends at 7pm, but it's at the bar only. There are lunch specials here as well and game day specials that I have yet to try.
