We started our home search like some of you; searching for houses on Zillow or Trulia and visiting open houses. We talked to several agents and even set up a couple meetings, but they never showed. Then fate intervened with Anthony Glenn II of Remax Liberty and Veteran Homeowners Club, Inc when we attended an educational event he hosted for VA benefits and we knew our search for an agent/broker was finally over. Due to a previous issue with VA loan at the height of the housing crisis due to military orders, all previous agents over the years informed us we were in a no win situation and would have to find alternate funding or continue to rent. Anthony's reply to our issue was, "So." To him, this was a non-issue and his knowledge of the VA loan benefit/process and the real estate market is so vast he quickly formulated a feasible course of action for us. He quickly introduced us to a solid lender and we began the application process. He listened to our wants and needs and quickly provided us alternative options to VA as well as a list of potential houses. He took his personal time to drive us all around south Riverside and North San Diego County. However, he did more than drive us around and show us houses. At each house, he used his decades of experience to point out potentials issues with each house so we were well informed...priceless. Once we found the house we wanted we really witnessed Anthony's magic in action. He submitted an aggressive offer on our behalf, but the seller initially did not accept. A staunch negotiator, and not willing to take no for an answer, he went back to the seller and within 24 hours not only did he get our offer accepted, but he negotiated seller contributions of almost $10,000. It doesn't end there. After the home inspection there were several recommended repairs noted which he was able to get the seller to remedy most of them. Most impressive was his ability to influence the seller to put on a new roof. Yes, a new roof! Having the new roof and seller closing contributions put us in a better financial position and we were able to get into the house we wanted. In addition, from offer acceptance to closing was 25 days; no messing around. Without writing a novel about our experience, I'd like you to consider a few things. My Husband and I recently worked with Anthony Glenn on one of the most important decisions of our life - buying our first home. I will start off by saying Knowledge is Power and Anthony was there every step of the way answering every question that we had with providing his own background knowledge as well as guidance to assist us in further research.
