After waiting well over two weeks and no contact from them I called several times nobody ever answered the phone in that place left messages and got no response from staff. Finally out of frustration I made back to office in person to discuss the situation, and was confronted with a very rude personal like I am imposing on their precious time!!! Brought my mother in law for a follow up for vision loss experienced due to diabetes. Therefore, she has significant damage on both eyes from personal negligence from a doctor in Mexico. I was able to get an appointment on the same day with Dr. Caleb Ng! This doctor is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in great detail and also answered the endless questions we had. He was very empathetic and honest with her diagnosis. She unfortunately lost vision completely from one eye (that happened way before here). However, with proper care and if she had came here; this would have been prevented. Needless to say, she got an injection in her other eye which needs treatment to prevent further damage from diabetes. I appreciate Dr. Caleb's honesty, professionalism and knowledge. He was able to communicate in Spanish with my mother in law and she felt more comfortable. Also, if you go on the website; you're able to see information of where he went to school. His experience really reflects his expertise in the field. Will be returning back for treatment.

I came back for a second treatment for a retinal detachment. Its very important to take care of that issue before i become fully blind with that eye. I have to trust the person who is doing the lasering, and the Doctor here was great. It took about 15 minutes of lasering, and it stung a little everytime they lasered. The scariest part was taking two needle shots right into the eye. I actually cried a little and a few minutes later i was getting two needles right into the eye to numb the eye before lasering. Overall they were very professional, i just came back last week from a check up and everything checked out right. I trusted this place with my only good eye and they did a great job. I will continue to come here for any eye exams, trusted and recommended retina place.

His office staff was super organized especially his office manager, Madison, who initiated our communication and started the process rolling while i was still out of the country after learning that i only had a limited time in California. She made an initial consult appt for me soon as i arrived in california. His office staff was very efficient and professional. I was always taken in the examination room on time. Dr Yomtoob came in after all the examination and measurements were done by the optometrist. He explained in detail about his findings, the cataract surgery i needed and the possible results and expectations. What was amazing was his flexibility to adapt his schedule to accommodate my short stay and still allow time for safe healing before i flew back. I could not believe it. This was beyond my expectation. I had the cataract surgery on both eyes a few days apart and the results were excellent. Making appointment needed help from Insurance provider and medical group even PCP office also helped. After appointment is scheduled get daily annoying message particularly text message with link to complete check in...dha...senior with vision issue and possible cataract and they expect to able see read and complete accurately? a week before appointment local office (thank god) calls says that your appointment will last for two hours with eyes dilation so plan accordingly nothing else, sound good. One day before appointment I received call from Chad/Jay from Philippine call center that I have co pay of $250. for some screening, I called insurance they say no you have 0 copay. this Jay/Chad says it is for screening, screening for what? Is it not that I am going for to assess Cataract issue and potential treatment of it, it is medical need and my specialty visits are fully covered and have no copay. Spend hours with insurance and they told them that I asked for added service, what? how would I know what other added services I can add.... very poor stressful office. No have no choice to cancel the appointment and may get another ophthalmologist. I mean why would local office will not call when they are getting several calls from Insurance for copay and explain and educate and make patient understand?

I was directed to again have a seat out in the reception room and wait to be called back in to see the doctor. I waited for nearly TWO HOURS after my scheduled appointment time. There were no updates on the delay nor information regarding anticipated wait time. There certainly were no apologies for the delay. After the 2 hours, all the reception staff members apparently left for lunch, as there was no one in sight from whom to seek information. More than a bit perturbed, I left. I walked out the door without ever seeing Dr. Jacobs, MD. As a dentist, I understand that treatment and procedures can sometimes require more time than anticipated. Prior to my appointment, Harvard Eye Associates repeatedly reminded me of my appointment time and of the importance of punctuality. "Arrive 15 minutes early," they requested -- presumably so the doctor will not have to wait for me. Apparently, that only applies to the doctor. Patients absolutely deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. At a minimum, their time has value, and it is remarkably unprofessional to ignore someone waiting --- for 2 hours.
