The first thing that was done was to make me comfortable. Heating pad was applied, massager next- that felt amazing. Dr Smith came in and introduced himself. He asked me about what I was feeling. I explained the best I could. He checked my back and had me do some stretching. He did it with how much I could handle. He was so caring. I saw him twice a week for several weeks. The only reason my time came to an end was I had to go back home to Michigan. I am so thankful to Dr Smith and his staff.

Front Office staff has always been polite, professional. AIM…read morehas not closed they have DC's available. No Physical Therapy. Trying to get insurance to approve the changes is challenging to say the least, AIM's Front Office is being helpful assisting us. Drew and Troy are no longer here as of SEPT 27 2014. Troy however was the only reason to go to AIM anyway, seemed very concerned with his customers. Would have been nice to have a written Notice so we could make appropriate arrangements. To bad they put profit over the well being of there patients by not notifing us of the change in time to make advanced arrangement. We wish them well, as we are in a better place now at South Pacific Rehab, also in Lancaster.

For five years I babied my left hip with arthritis. When it become too troublesome I sought to get…read moreit corrected with a hip replacement. Many friends said it would greatly improve my day to day life. An orthopedic doctor recommended that I consider an anterior procedure over a posterior procedure, as having fewer restrictions, less complications, and a quicker recovery. That doctor recommended seeing a surgeon that routinely performs the anterior method as having the best chance of a successful operation. That referral went to Dr. Justin Sherfey, with AVORS Medical Group. He maintained offices in Santa Clarita and Lancaster. His easy demeanor was reassuring, as he explained what would happen, and a timeline for recovery. His office scheduled a class through the Hospital (Providence - Holy Cross) that explained in greater detail what my wife and I could expect on the day of my surgery. He stopped by bedside pre-operation, to reassure, and answer any last minute questions we might have. The operating room was a flurry of activity, and a drug induced blur. My return from post recovery to my room was quick. The medical support Providence provided, was a big factor in being released by late afternoon. With the help of a walker I was able to experience Central Park the day after my operation. On day three I graduated to a cane, on day 5, I was on my own. Every day since I've seen improvement. All of this I credit to Dr. Sherfey, his skills, and the anterior method he specializes in.

As a former athlete who's been sidelined for years with a knee injury, AVMC has been instrumental…read morein getting me back on the field and playing sports at a high level again. After my ACL surgery I was referred to this group by my doctor to complete the months long rehab process. They worked with me once a week, starting with basic leg mobility and eventually full agility drills. I communicated my goal to play basketball and soccer with 100% effort and address the muscle atrophy that had occurred. They took that to heart and the treatment always felt tailored towards my specific needs as opposed to just running through a standard list of exercises. My doctor was always impressed by my progress during the monthly check-ins. I would absolutely recommend AVMC for any rehab needs and would go back if, heaven forbid, I get injured again. Thanks for everything.
