Ken is an amazing man, and he does an amazing job! My 96-year-old Grandmother's antique Gulbransen piano had never been cleaned or repaired and was in need of serious restoration. Ken personally came to our home to inspect the piano and give me the quote for the job. Not only was he professional and courteous, he was so personable and kind. And right away when we talked I could tell that he was absolutely knowledgeable and familiar with what needed to be done, and how to do it. On the day of pick up, Ken's movers took the piano with such care, and Ken treated it as if it were his own. The piano completely restored to gorgeous, like-new condition. Ken first told me that the job would take about 6 weeks to complete - which was fine. But when I when I found out and told Ken that my Grandmother, who lives 4 hours away, was coming to town, he made sure that the job was completed in time for her to see it during her visit. This was really, REALLY special, because it meant that he worked through the weekend and sped the job up by at least a week. He didn't have to do that, but he cared enough personally, so he did. My family truly cannot thank him enough for doing that. My Grandmother is not in good health and will most likely never see the piano again, but she was able to see it - and she even played it - during her visit. It was so special! The end result of Ken's work was so incredible. He removed deep scratches in the case, and re-finished the color to perfection. The brass, which had been black, is now all shiny and gold. And the interior is sparkling. It looks like a completely new piano. It is absolutely gorgeous. Ken's level of professionalism and skill, combined with his decades of experience, really made him the right person for this job. If you're looking for the best person to do a piano restoration, you won't find anyone better than Ken! read more
