I'm adding Another Broken Egg Cafe to my regular rotation of breakfast spots in Fort Collins. We stopped by on Sunday morning around 10am. It was busy, but not overly crowded. The restaurant is modern and clean. Service was great from the moment we walked in and throughout our visit. Since it was our first visit, we received an order of their beignets for free. They were delicious and served with honey marmalade. Our meals were prepared as requested and everything was served quickly. We both ordered a side of country potatoes that were perfectly seasoned and crispy, but not dry. We loved our visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe and will definitely return. The coffee was constantly flowing, the meals were delicious, and we also got free beignets as a first time welcome. Gold stars all around. read more

Biked here in the cold to be surprised by free biscuit beignets! For a new place they still had quite a few people in there, and the ambiance was nice and clean. We came in as a large group of 11, and had a great experience! Even though the place was small, they did their best to accommodate us. Everyone was friendly and helpful the entire time - our server got us complimentary biscuit beignets, one of the BOH staff was cracking jokes with us, and the host was friendly as well. We were excited to try this breakfast place in Fort Collins. We arrived at 9 AM and there was virtually no one in the restaurant which should've been our first indication. No one was at the front and we stood there unacknowledged for several minutes. Finally, the bartender came over and set us at a table. The coffee arrived lukewarm, and extremely bitter. Neither of us were able to even drink it. We started with a full order of the beignets. They were so hard we had to cut them with a knife and they crunched when we chewed them. They were served with a supposed orange marmalade, but it had no flavor and was very runny. The pancakes were dry, dense, and rubbery, and had an "off" flavor. The chicken sausage was cold in the middle, and the flavor of the meat was unidentifiable. Their breakfast potato is simply diced potatoes deep fried without much flavor. The English muffin was small and dry with no butter. And the omelette was very flat and flavorless. Overall, it was NOT a pleasant breakfast and we left 75% of our meal on the table. The waitress never inquired as to why we did not eat our food and no one ever came around to refill our drinks. Needless to say, we would not repeat this experience. read more

We sat at the bar and both of the bartenders were attentive. My only gripe is price. For two entrees, 2 Bloodies and 2 coffees, about $75 before tip. Solid food, menu is clearly being broken in and the kinks worked out. I had the chicken and waffles, the chipotle honey was delicious, I should have asked for some extra. Service was solid, the head chef came out and discussed each dish with my entire table and was very open to feedback. We met for brunch, which they seem to tout as their specialty. I ordered the mardi gras omelette, which comes with hollandaise sauce. I'm not a huge fan of hollandaise sauce so I asked if it could be swapped with country gravy (totally fine if the answer was no). Our server said of course! She then asked if it would be ok if she just said no hollandaise sauce and put the gravy on the side? Perfect! It wasn't until we were leaving that I realized they then charged $4.09 for the side of gravy! Also cane with a side of potatoes - a bit too salty. Overall it was decent. If you are looking for your standard chain breakfast place, this will do, but be aware they are very willing to sneak up-charges in. If it were me, I would go elsewhere. read more

The food is amazing! I had the jambalaya and it had the perfect kick and flavor. It was served with focaccia bread which was a great addition, I do wish the focaccia had a bit more crunch but maybe that was just personal preference. I also got some pancakes that were served with some kind of sauce, nuts, and bananas, those were absolutely delicious and I would definitely order it again. The service was wonderful, the woman that served us was accommodating as well as super kind. The ambiance was nice and quiet, a great place to drop by for a quick brunch! We were so excited to hear that they were coming to CO, and even more so that it would be located in our backyard in Fort Collins.
