Super awesome new restaurant on campus at Purdue. Very nice atmosphere inside the restaurant and the servers are very friendly. I've been going there every week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food is absolutely good! Highly recommend. read more

It was really difficult to get seated. Even though there was plenty of space at the bar, they had us wait for a table. The wait was nearly 30 minutes. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional. We had typical breakfast food. The place was quite crowded and parking is somewhat complicated. It appeared clean. read more

Solid, reliable breakfast spot. Food isn't going to blow you away, but some dishes are very tasty. Don't recommend their standard eggs, potatoes toast, meat as its small for the price and tasteless but specialty dishes are usually pretty tasty. Ba-que-zo omellete, crab breakfasts, shrimp and grits, Benedicts, etc are all good. Great coffee cups, and offer you extra coffee to go! read more

Great food, great service! A little pricey and you'll have to wait for table weekend mornings. I have liked everything I've ordered, and what everyone else at table has ordered. read more

Came here for breakfast this morning. Party of 5 at 10am on a Sunday. After a half hour wait, we were seated and the experience was extremely positive. First, we used the Yelp app to get on the list. Highly recommended! To cut to the point, the food was excellent and the service matched. Our waiter did a great job and we each tried something different, all excellent. Highly recommended! read more

Updated February 28, 2016: have been coming here for quite some time now and want to note that they have really worked out all the early opening bugs now. The wait staff has always been super friendly, and a lot of them are still working here, which indicates to me that management has put a lot of effort into hiring really good people, not just students in transition who aren't so committed to what they are doing. Or maybe they're just a good judge of character. Either way the service has gone from awful when they first opened, to routinely excellent. They've also gotten the problems with the No Wait App worked out, so I can confidently get in line from home when wait times are an hour, walk in an hour later and get directed right to my table. The food remains high-end dinery, which I really like, with a nod towards healthy that I also really like. I'll definitely bring my friends here for weekend brunch and recommend to others. Nice comfortable atmosphere, especially the patio dining in warm weather with a nice aura of campus across the street. Update Nov 24: hopefully some of previous service problems have been slowly getting sorted out. I've eaten here a number of times in the last month and a half and had no major service issues. I'll raise my star rating, then, and hope that this keeps improving-especially during busy times. Update October 10: have had a few nice visits here over the last couple of weeks without a major incident but at off-hour times, so hopefully things are looking up. Still Friendly staff and great food. However ventured into the No-Wait app land again today and that is still a disaster. 10:42 got in line on app with a 5-15 minute wait. 10:48: checked in at restaurant. 11:02 app shows no one in line in front of us. 11:06 asked hostess "what's up?" "They're clearing off a table." 11:10 place in line disappears from our app. Hostess very apologetic. A couple more waits, returns to hostess and the "what's up" routine. Followed by the "omg did we not already seat you?" Finally seated at 11:24; a 42 minute wait on a 5-15 estimate. Avoid the app. Original review... This restaurant has great promise but...right now the service is in such disarray that you should stay away from it unless it is not busy and/or you have a lot of time to kill. I've visited here about ten times since it opened, so I think I have a pretty good handle on it. First the good stuff: I love the atmosphere; I love the food. We have desperately needed something like this in our neighborhood for so long: upscale, sit down service, walkable, and an uncharacteristically friendly staff. I've sampled a great number of items off both the breakfast and dinner menus, and have enjoyed every one. Really fresh ingredients, usually well prepared. Now the dark side: will they ever get their service sorted out? Almost every order has an error in it: the salad was supposed to come out before the main course, the salmon and kale had chicken, the return endeavor was grossly overcooked. It can just be a nightmare. And I so want this restaurant to succeed! Forget the no wait app: it broke when I tried to set it up, and the first time I used it, it told me no wait but when I walked into minutes later they told me half an hour. When I told the host about the problem, she volunteered, "yeah somebody else mentioned that. Knowing how slow the service is, I took my guests to Christos, where the service is always impeccable. As I sit writing this review on a beautiful sunny fall day on their awesome outdoor patio, fifteen minutes passed before I decided I would ask the host who sat me if anyone was going to wait on me. These kinds of problems are typical here. Finally, avoid the filet. Some friends told me that ABE was owned by the same company that owned the Ruth Chris franchise, so they had access to the same fine cuts of meat. I ran right over to give it a try! The meat was fine. The preparation- yikes! The steak was not seared-it looked like it was baked or something! I ordered medium rare and it came out beyond well done. Of course they offered to fix it-they always do, but can't they get anything right on the first try? So yes I'll keep coming here and hopefully management will read this review and work to get their act together. It would be a magnificent addition to our neighborhood if they did! read more

I've been to another location of this franchise several times in Georgia, that experience had me primed for a great breakfast with friendly service. Sadly, this location didn't offer the same. Our table was too small for our party, we were staking plates and constantly moving things trying make room just to get at our food. The food was ok, not as good as the Georgia location. My Benny was cold :-(. Our server was lackluster, she didn't smile and it seemed like we were an inconvenience asking for coffee creamer. It's not worth the expense, especially when we can go to Route 66 and have ample room and cheerful servers. It was a beautiful restaurant and I liked their coffee cups, but not going back. read more

Came here for a Tuesday morning breakfast. Not busy at all but still had to wait a while for food. Ordered the biscuits and gravy special. They were good, nothing special. The sausages that came with them had a good herb blend mixed in with it which made it taste very good. The potatoes on the side we surprisingly good. Staff was extremely friendly! One of the better breakfast places in West Lafayette. Will come back, just a little pricy. read more

Very enjoyable for breakfast. So many interesting and different selections on the menu you will never have to eat the same thing twice but you will want to because they are so delicious!! Wait staff is very courteous and helpful but you will want to use your Yelp app to join the line during busier times as the wait can be a little long. Overall positive dining experience. read more

We really enjoyed our breakfast this morning. Interesting food items. Don't skip the beignets. Good coffee, though we like ours a bit stronger. And Conner provided terrific service. We'll return next time we're in town. read more

I had the Skinny Omelet and it was probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in a very long time. Fruit was fresh and delicious. Everything came out piping hot. Great waiter (Richard), overall excellent experience. read more

I have major food allergies, and I've never been to a more accommodating restaurant. Taylor and Jenny were over-the-top helpful in finding menu items that I could eat, and they were so personable and friendly. Best restaurant representatives possible! The food was wonderful - creatively prepared and healthy. I will definitely be back! Additionally, the restaurant has a comprehensive list of menu items with allergens and nutritional information - there's no guesswork here. read more

Great food and service. I have been four times and every time I enjoyed the food and service. The manager Nick was so sweet and helpful with helping me pick out some really great meals....... I love this place read more

Our first visit to this great restaurant! Attentive, knowledgeable and personable waitstaff (Justin!) Great food and complimentary beignet for first timers! The manager (Nick) stopped to visit and check on us. The food was great and they even adjusted their traditional eggs Benedict to suit personal preferences. You must try this place!!!! read more

One of my favorite restaurant love to take my kids here after church. So many options and you couldn't go wrong with ordering anything on the menu. Also very kid friendly!! Line is always long so prepare for that! If you haven't been there yet you should make your way there as soon as possible read more

Almost don't want to write the try here as the restaurant may get busier! But it's too good not too! And I'm an honest person. Restaurant can be hard to find and park near - but when you figure it out you have a find. My favorite place for breakfast in this whole town. Fresh, creative, healthy and even discriminating food preferences welcomed here. And they have great coffee to go with it along with Taylor, the best manager in town! Worth the treasure hunt to find it tho I so wanted to keep it a secret! read more

Incredibly slow service! They said wait would be 30 to 45 minutes. We have been waiting for an hour and 15 minutes! Unacceptable.

I Had a wonderful experience! The servers was nice. I liked salad menu and burgers. The menu very large. i received awesome service, food was hot, and drinks never went unfilled. Everything was delicious. I decide to come with my friends to this restaurant at least 2 times per week. read more

This place is totally worth the Sunday morning brunch wait! I must admit my deep affinity for Eggs Benedict and partiality toward any restaurant that can do it well, and the cafe does not disappoint. I also ventured out and tried the shrimp and grits at the waiter's suggestion, which was amazing! This may be my new favorite eatery in town. read more

When discussing where my Bumble BFF and I should meet, she suggested Another Broken Egg Cafe. I had never been here before, but heard good things about. Thankfully, they did not disappoint! There is really great natural light within the cafe, and my food was delicious! My Bumble BFF and I especially loved the variety of drink options. We loved this place so much that we made plans to return! read more

Yummy food and a great place to go by yourself or even go with your staff. Our waitress, Jenny, is always so friendly and accommodating. Great experience! read more

Great breakfast and cool place. Enjoyed the food, as well as the atmosphere. New favorite for breakfast in West Lafayette. Definitely highly recommend and look forward to going back on our next trip to Purdue read more

Great service, good food. Parking stinks but it's more of a campus thing where people are walking in.

Food was great. Huge portions. Service relaxed so be mentally prepared for that. Not a place u can zip in and out of.

I wanted to try this place out since it's close to campus and I like breakfast food at all times of the day. We were going to eat with 7 people so we went up to the front desk and was told about a 45 minute wait, which was fine for our group. About 20 minutes later we get a text message saying our table was ready. Excited that our table was already ready, I make it to the front and I inform them we're the group of 7 under my name. Well, they never vocally responded to this. They look at me, fidget around, ask some other people stuff, and end up not letting us know what was going on. So about 15 minutes later, and after they got the manager, they finally redirect us to the table. There was a LOT of disorganization going on, but, who knows, this was their first week. It did make an impression that they couldn't even let us know that they were trying to fit a table, or that it would take a little longer. I'll try again in a few months and update this review if I have a better experience. Other than that, food was a bit pricey for what you're getting. Eggs Benedict with a drink ended up being ~$16/17. Also, the taste wasn't terrible but wasn't something worth talking about. TL;DR Got bad service and they clammed up once they made a mistake with the table situation. Rest of the experience was alright. read more

Huevos rancheros were great and it was nice to sit outside with a view of the beautiful Purdue campus. They're busy, like all new restaurants are, but download the No Wait app and get yourself on the list to be seated before you get there. Pretty interior! The menu isn't just standard fare. There are lots of interesting items to explore! read more

Great Service! I loved the place and it is almost on campus!

We ate breakfast here 2 days in a row while visiting my Purdue student. The food and service was excellent. Will return again when visiting West Lafayette. read more

The food is okay, but don't use the parking lot! I parked at the parking lot saying '90 minutes customer parking', bought a coffee and went to campus, and when I came back within 50 minutes, my car was towed away already. Maybe they can claim I am not a customer anymore once I left the cafe, but I would never go there ever again. read more

Such a great Breakfast! Worth the wait for sure! Great service by hostess and waitress! Can't wait to come back!

Well first off, if I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. Whenever I come on the weekends, the restaurant is impossibly slow, basically at a stand still. And yet, all the while there's open tables with servers standing around doing nothing, and I'm sitting there waiting. You couldn't at least seat me and get something to drink?? Just very sub-par restaurant. I've gone to the Stacked Pickle before however, and they are a much better option, in my opinion, and they're just right next door to Another Broken Egg!! read more

Great place for breakfast. Be sure you use the NoWait to reserve your spot in line...we had a 45 minute wait but that allowed us travel and parking time. We then only waited less than 10 minutes for our table to clear before being seated. Seriously busy on Purdue game days...practically on campus and near stadium. Service was friendly, food arrived in a timely manner and was served hot/yummy. read more

Excellent every visit! Great service. The black bean Benedict is my favorite. The Bloody Mary is a must.

ye haw love this place , great service. would bring the family back again! best cofveve in all of purdue.

First time at this place. Purdue has so many different places on campus since I was a student here 12 yrs ago! Anyway, tried this place bc a friend raved about the eggs Benedict. I don't really like eggs Benedict all that much but figured if they could do that right, a simple order of scrambled eggs, pancakes, and bacon should be a slam dunk. Wrong. This was the most dissatisfied I've felt after a breakfast in a long time. I ordered eggs scrambled soft bc I like my eggs creamy....the eggs came out in stiff, tough folds with a dry spongy texture in the mouth. I ordered pancakes expecting light, fluffy goodness. These were heavy and dense with a strange, almost, bitter aftertaste. Probably the some of the worst pancakes I've ever had. I ordered coffee...it was terrible. Coffee is one of those things where it's either good or bad. No in between. The only thing that came out as expected was the crispy bacon I ordered. It's hard to find fault in bacon bc...well...it's bacon. It was crispy like I asked so fine, they got that right. To be fair, the manager came over, saw if left most of the food on my plate and asked if everything was ok. I wasn't in the mood to be huffy about my woeful breakfast so I just said "eh. It was ok." I think he could sense my dissatisfaction bc he offered me something else. I declined. He offered me a coffee to go. I declined. Finally he offered me a waffle to go. I gave in and he got me a waffle and gave me a friendly tip on how to reheat it. I do appreciate the last-chance effort to please a customer, and the service in general was really good. However the food was just too bad for me to recommend to anyone or return on my own. Sorry. read more

Best place on campus. I love to get breakfast before exams because I always feel like I do better. They have awesome coffee and their omelettes are always delicious. I would recommend this place to all students and teachers read more

A bit over-priced for what it is. My friend's sausage patty was dry and cold-ish.

Good breakfast spot. Can get very busy being on campus, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table. Omelets are good, with some unusual combos available. Pancakes are as big as the plate. Wait staff is pretty on the ball, keeping coffee and drinks filled as needed. Have always had a good experience here. read more

Atmosphere is good. Food is average to good. Interesting breakfast choices. I enjoyed my omelette very much.

Food is not bad, but slow service and overpriced- French toast, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and a diet coke = $25 McDonald's just as good and cheaper!! read more
